Alan Cousteau Three & A Half Men

...Funny Rolex Moment In Time...

Jon Cryer

Alan Cousteau Submariner

Two & A Half Men

Rolex has been featured in many pop-culture contexts, and this is probably one of the funniest examples. Jon Cryer starred on the mega-hit comedy TV-Show Two and a Half Men from 2003 to 2015. Most of those years he co-starred with Charlie Sheen (WINNING!!!!!), and both of them wore Rolex watches on the show. Jon wore a Submariner and Charlie wore a medium size stainless steel and Platinum Yatch-Master.

American's Are Crazy About Halloween...

American's Are Crazy
About Halloween

I live in San Francisco and it seems like everybody here is crazy about Halloween!!! I notice as the years go by Americans in general keep getting more and more into Halloween.

As a matter of fact, Americans spend more than$5 Billion a year celebrating Halloween!!! Perhaps it is because Halloween provides an escape from everyday reality? If you are not familiar with Halloween, people tend to dress up in costumes to pretend they are other people.

When I was a child it seems like it was more of a trick-or-treat thing, but it appears to have stuck with many adults who get really into it. This next video is really funny and strange at the same time. It features Al Roker, the host of the Today show, dressed up as the Hans Solo character from Star Wars that was play by Harrison Ford. Notice Al Roker is wearing his trademark Rolex Submariner on his right wrist in the video!!!

I am not sure what is going on, but the Ewok's seem to get drunk and loose their minds!!!

Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life... A Look At Monty Python Today

Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life...
A Look At Monty Python Today

This last weekend we took a look at some of the British Princes. I pointed out how influential British culture was in the United States I grew up in. It was everywhere from Monty Python to James Bond.

American George Bernard Shaw once said "England and America are two countries separated by the same language" which is profoundly true if you think about it. I thought I would share this interview with you from Late Night that features Monty Python's Flying Circus members John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones. and Terry Gillam. Pretty funny stuff. Enjoy!!!

World's Funniest Rolex Photo!!!

World's Funniest Rolex Photo

Richard, who goes by Bisquitlips on RolexForums.com took this photo of his dog wearing what appears to be a two-tone Rolex Yachtmaster as a necklace. I knew Richard uses this photo for his avatar on RolexForums.com but I didn't realize, until I saw it full size that his chiwawa dog is wearing a Rolex as a necklace.

People take some pretty creative photos with their Rolex watches, but I must admit this is definitely the funniest photo I have ever published on Jake's Rolex Watch Blog!!! Also, Biquitlips is a pretty funny name!!! Thanks for putting a smile on our faces Richard!!!

P.S. Notice the Coke Zero on the counter?

Dynamic Duo: Milgauss Black and White Dials Side By Side...

Here we have a great comparison shot of the GV Milgauss with the green synthetic sapphire crystal with the black dial next to the white dial version.

I wonder what the white dial version would look like with the green crystal? If anybody has one please send in a picture to rolexblog@gmail.com.

The Milgauss family and the Captian Marvel family one in the same? All I have to say is Shazaaaaaaam!!!!!!!

Ever Notice? Starbucks Sub...

In Rolex nickname parlance we have the four Rolex Sodas: Pepsi, Coke and Rootbeer GMTs, as well as the 7up Sub.

Actually a friend of mine named Dennis and I coined the term, 7up Submariner.  I guess you could also call it the Sprite Sub as well.

One day I was walking past Starbucks and I could not help notice my LV Submariner looked very similar to the Starbucks logo, so I call it the Starbucks Sub.  For some reason, the LV Rolex Submariner has this extra energy the black one does not and in has everything to do with the green.

It is like the Green 50th Anniversary Submariner is Caffeinated.  I just noticed that somebody else referred to their LV as "The Incredible Hulk."  Many people also refer to it as "The Kermit."
