The Patriots placed Brown (concussion) on injured reserve Saturday, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports. Brown will miss the last two games of the regular season after being placed in the league's concussion protocol following the Patriots' Week 16 loss to the Colts. He started at center in all 10 games that he played in and will enter free agency in the offseason.
Brown (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. Brown sustained a concussion in the Patriots' Week 17 loss to the Chargers and was unable to clear the NFL's five-step protocol in time to suit up for the team's regular-season finale Sunday. With Brown sidelined in Week 18, Cole Strange is expected to shift over and start at center, while Layden Robinson will likely fill the void at left guard.
Brown (concussion) was downgraded to out for Saturday's game against the Chargers. Brown has started New England's last 10 contests at center, so this is a significant loss for the Patriots' undermanned offensive line. Brown's loss potentially opens the door for Cole Strange to start at center.

Brown played every single offensive snap during the Patriots' 24-21 loss to the Bills this past Sunday and wasn't diagnosed with a concussion until after the game. He'll have to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols in order to play against the Chargers on Sunday. If Brown isn't cleared, Cole Strange (knee) would be the next man up to start at center for New England.
