Slye agreed to a contract with the Titans on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The well-traveled Slye will catch on with eighth different organization since going undrafted out of Virginia Tech in 2018. After being cut by the Jaguars last spring, Slye quickly caught on with New England on a one-year deal and emerged as the victor over Chad Ryland in the battle for kicking duties during training camp and the preseason. Slye proceeded to play in all 17 of New England's games in 2024, converting 26 of 33 field-goal attempts and 25 of 26 extra-point tries. The 28-year-old is currently the only kicker on the Titans roster, but the team will almost certainly add some competition before training camp.
Drury recorded three shots on goal in 13:00 of ice time in Wednesday's 5-1 victory over the Devils. Drury is in the midst of an eight-game pointless streak, but he has now recorded seven shots on goal in the past three games. Despite the recent offensive struggles, an area that the former Hurricane has excelled in all season is in the faceoff circle. After going 9-4 on Wednesday, the 25-year old has won 57 percent of his faceoffs, the ninth-best win rate in the NHL among those with at least 500 draws.
Slye made all three of his field-goal tries and both of his extra-point attempts during the Patriots' 23-16 win over the Bills on Sunday. Slye hadn't attempted a field goal in the Patriots' last two games entering Week 18, but he was kept busy Sunday as backup quarterback Joe Milton led New England on five scoring drives. All three of Slye's field-goal attempts came in the second half, with his 43 and 50-yard field goals in the fourth quarter extending the Patriots' lead. Slye will finish the 2024 regular season having made 26 of 33 field-goal attempts (78.8 percent) and 25 of 26 extra-point tries. He signed a one-year deal with the Patriots in May of 2024 and will enter the offseason as a free agent.
Slye converted on his lone extra-point try during the Patriots' 40-7 loss to the Chargers on Saturday. It was another quiet day for Slye as the Patriots' offense struggled to move the ball down the field and were limited to 181 yards against a stout Chargers defense. Slye hasn't attempted a field goal over his last two games, and through 16 regular-season games he's gone 23-for-30 on field-goal attempts and 23-for-24 on extra-point tries.
Slye converted all three of his extra-point attempts in New England's 24-21 loss to Buffalo on Sunday. Slye did not attempt a field goal Sunday for just the second time this season as all three of the Patriots' scoring drives resulted in touchdowns. Slye was a fairly accurate kicker through the first 11 games of the regular season, going 19-for-22 on field-goal attempts and 15-for-16 on extra-point tries over that span. He's made all seven of his extra-point attempts in his last four games, but across that span he's also gone 4-for-8 on field-goal attempts, with two of those misses coming from within 50 yards. Slye and the Patriots head back to New England for Week 17 to host the Chargers on Saturday, Dec. 28.
Slye made one of his two field-goal tries and converted both of his two extra-point attempts during Sunday's 30-17 loss at Arizona. On the Patriots' first drive of the game, Slye hooked a 53-yard attempt wide to the left and extended his streak of games with at least one missed kick to four. Even when New England's sluggish offense has moved the ball this season, he's been inconsistent, making him an unappealing option for what remains of the fantasy playoffs.
Slye went 3-for-5 on field-goal tries while making his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Colts. Slye began his day with three straight field-goal makes from 35 yards, 31 yards and 54 yards versus Indianapolis. He then missed a chip-shot 25-yarder on the team's final possession of the first half before later missing a nearly impossible 68-yard attempt to end the game. The kicker has now made 22 of 28 field-goal tries while going 17-for-18 on PATs in 2024.
Slye missed his only field-goal attempt but converted his only extra-point try during Sunday's 34-15 loss at Miami. Slye's only shot at a field goal in Week 12 came towards the end of the first quarter, and he drove the 45-yard kick off the right upright. He has now missed a kick in three of his last four games heading into a Week 13 matchup versus the Colts.
Slye went 3-for-3 on field-goal tries and made one of two PATs in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Rams. Slye made multiple field goals for the second straight week after going five straight weeks without doing so prior. His longest make of the day came from 42 yards, while he did miss an extra-point attempt for the first time this year. Through 11 contests, the kicker has gone 19-for-22 on field-goal attempts and 15-for-16 on PATs.
