It's A Crazy World...

An excellent Westwood One Radio Broadcast here.
Not really sure where it's from
but it's the Scorpions in very fine form
from the Crazy World Tour.

I Want To Be Part Of It...

Back Street Crawler formed by legendary Free guitarist Paul Kossoff.
The band who took their name from his solo
album title unfortunately didn't last too long ending in 1976
with the well documented death of Paul.
Here is an incomplete Soundboard recording
of their blues and soul style Rock.
Recorded in Liverpool in 1975.

You That Hide Behind Desks...

Two legends touring together in 1986.
Bob Dylan and his pretty special backing band
Tom & His Heartbreakers.
Looks like it was value for money as it's
a mammoth setlist.
Of course Tom gets his fair share of tunes too.

Time Is Never Time At All...

Fine show from Alt. Rockers
The Smashing Pumpkins.
On the Mellon Collie tour,
a fine double album I'll still dig
out now and again.
Great sounding show from Vancouver '97.

The Last From The Past...

This one was requested by Jim in the comments recently.

As the cover title suggests its
Michael Schenker on his last tour with UFO
(for 15 years anyway).

A full concert from earlier in the tour at
Newcastle in the UK.
Unfortunately it has tape slips
But it's still an enjoyable classic Schenker Era UFO.

And his Last Show from Palo Alto, USA

Opening for Rush.

With an excellent performance by Schenker

And a very lively audience.

At The Mayfair in Newcastle

The LAST At Stanford in Palo Alto

 Excellent show from Heart.
Caught during their big hair days.
Hits,Glossy MTV videos and great music.
Radio broadcast from Japan '86.
With a super enjoyable setlist where they
don't forget to play some of their earlier songs.
Of course they finish up with a song
from their favourite band.

Your Dream Is Over,Or Has It Just Begun?...

Firstly I cocked up on recording...two sets tonight
1st set (Rage For Order).I had the levels set too high,Doh!
But thankfully I noticed it during the break
ready for the 2nd set (Empire).Which I prefer anyway.
The gig itself,Mr. Tate, even after all these years you
STILL have the voice.
Just hearing Silent Lucidity live,
is such a special moment that will go with
me to my grave.
Great show,great choice of albums...
See you next time...Enjoy,Ed.

Waving Your Banner All Over The Place...

Eddie's back and he's got somethin' to say!

Firstly I am a massive fan of their one and only album
these New Yorkers released back in 2016.
And I was so looking forward to this gig,
so what happens?they don't play a fecking track from it.
10 of the 11 tracks played were all new.
This being their first gig outside of America
they decided to start fresh with all new material.
OK I can live with that and YES it was good Melodic Rock.
Secondly I know it is important for bands to put on a show
BUT! when everything is dictated by a feckin' computer
that pisses me off.
I'm sure they played their own instruments and he was definitely
singing live but the harmonies on each and every chorus
were just too good to fool this old git.
I know it happens a lot these days even with the bigger bands
in a big arena. But in a small venue we expect things
not to be perfect that's why we cram ourselves into
these shitty little sweat holes!!
That's my moan out of the way AND yes I would
definitely go and see them again and accept what it is...

But It's So Hard To Pretend...

Another from EDDIE.

Another NWOCR (New Wave Of Classic Rock)
band that has a great following and some
really good tunes, reminding me of Canada's Nickleback.
Sound wasn't brilliant but I will put that down to the venue.
As it's more designed for clubbing and not really live shows.
So I might have to come back when it's club night
and have a Boogie!!...Nah it's not gonna happen.

It's Not The Same As The Last One...

They've been around for over 12 years but it's only now
they seem to be moving up the gig ladder.
Great band to watch live as Baz the frontman
is all over the place and they have some cracking tunes.
Good solid Rock with the important fun factor included.

Are You Gonna March?...

Another from Eddie and one to blow the cobwebs away.

The Hip Priests - Here's a couple of short sets from
one of my discoveries in the last couple
of years. They play 100mph in your face Dirt Rock.
They've been around since 2007 with little success
but as their song says "Zero Fucks Given"
they gained a few more fans tonight...great stuff.

Wanna Take To The Sky...

Eddie's back and I've doubled up on the shows.

The Karma Effect - Another new band making waves.
They've only been going a couple of years playing that 70's
Rock sound vibe I love so much.
You can always tell when something is happening with a
band when the bar empties and all
their fellow musicians gather round...
ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR!

I'll Never Let You Down...

He's back the man who's been to more gigs than
The Rolling Stones,EDDIE!!

I Feckin' love these Scottish Blues Rockers
especially with their last album going more commercial.
Live, they are a joy to watch with brilliant musicianship.
The gig just flew past and not once did I look at my watch
to plan my journey home.
Which doesn't happen too often...UP THE JOCKS!

Freak Out...

Unfortunately Eddie's back with another dose
of The Blues.Luckily it's the Rockin' Blues...
Let's Go!!

One of Sweden's finest exports in my view,
good solid Rock and in Elin Larsson they
have a powerhouse of a singer.
With amazing stamina on one of the hottest days of the year.
This little bundle of energy was all over the place
including a runaround into the crowd
at one point.I was knackered just watching
her.I hope they can make the next step up
as this gig was supposed to be upstairs
in the larger venue but downsized to
the Boston Rooms.
So we will see...they have to be seen and heard...
Great Band!

We're Going Down The Pub...

I remember seeing this lot on Top Of The Pops
in the late 70's and over 40 years later
I have finally got to see them.I love this style of
Punk Rock and are so pleased there are bands like
this still going.
Short headline set but all the hits are there...
Happy Days!

Stand Up,Sit Down Don't Do Nothin'...

All the way from L.A. to sunny Hackney on a
Tuesday night...Yeah it doesn't get better than this
Ha Ha.Seriously these guys are so good across
the pond they are already at the arena stage.
And you can tell why cos they are gonna be MASSIVE
and I can say I got to see them in a club, great songs
and quality musicians. The only down bit for me
was a Bass & Drum solo in a short set
was a bit 70's for my liking.
Quality American Rock for fans of Aerosmith,The Black Crowes etc.etc.
