Recalcitrant Daze...

...and a single tumbleweed bounces from screen right to screen left.

So things have been a bit quiet in here. I have been busy, just not with models. I have things I need to work on (Daemons, Deathwing and the first priority of the Junka), however the bit of freetime I have had I have needed a break, so it's been filled with reading and films instead.

The one thing I did do was pack up a couple of my models for them to be sent to the States...

My first Looted Vehicle...

Yep, i've sold the Storm'amma and Deffstrike Rokkit Launcha.

It was hard to see them go but in the end I have no inclination at all to do an Ork army. These just sit in boxes for month after month with no finished paint job in sight.

I decided it would be better to let them go to a home where they will be finished off and see a gaming table once in a while.

The money raised will of course go to good use.

I do however have another Superheavy sitting in a box without a home to go to:

I may be tempted to put my two Looted Wagons up for sale as well, along with the modified Fighta I did. I shall have to ponder this.

Defstrike Rokkit Launcha 3

The Rokkit is almost done. Still need to do a few details, especially on the Grot and his controls. I won't be adding much in the way of rust or oils as unlike the tanks the rokkit won't have been knocking around for long, it is afterall built to just blow up as soon as possible (preferably after it has been launched).

The exhaust and the direction thrusters will get some oils to darken them as I am sure the Meks would of done some test firings, just for a laugh and to cook some squig.

Deffstrike Rokkit Launcha 2

The basic colours are now on the Rokkit. Decided I am going to do the Rokkit first then work on the Launcha, seems a bit less daunting that way.

Decided to add some more colour by doing the cockpit in red, also added some white for the cheques and some glyphs on the underside. Don't want to add too much to take away from the black/yellow scheme, but it needed something extra.

For now here is my Looted Deathstrike Missile Launcher.

I started the model originally with the intention of it being a Deathstrike, purely for an objective as I thought having a Deathstrike in 40k, or even Apoc, was stupid...little did I think a couple of years later GW would put one in the Guard Codex.

Before I got anywhere near finished I decided to go off on a tangent and to instead do a looted version. Not long after that GW put out rules for the Pulsa Rokkit so when (if) this ever gets used in a game it will use those rules.

Rokkit is removeable and the launch ramp can be raised & lowered.
