Not been able to get much done model wise of late but the ruins have progressed a bit.
I added more rubble to the bases as well as add in some resin bits, basically bit of the ruins I had cut off.
I also attacked the walls with the dremel to add some more damage from small arms fire etc.
The insert above shows one of the resin off cuts I added in to the rubber. Not sure they worked as well as I hoped but oh well.
I am thinking of adding in some flooring to a few of the corner pieces including this one.
Managed to get them all undercoated today...
Even though I am going to (almost certainly) be adding some floors in I still wanted to get them undercoated at this point as it will be far easier to undercoat without the floors in.
Next up i'll look at adding some floors.

Terrain Time - Ruins 2 & Scatter Terrain 19
Things have been quiet but I have been (slowly) plugging away. As such here is an update (small it may be however).
Ruins 2
I cut down the bases of the ruins, added some foamboard to what would be the inside of the building then added a layer of sand.
I put together a couple of more pieces, rather than corners again I did a couple of straight walls.
Picture below was taken before I did some more GS work to the join.
Tonight I started to add the rubble. This is just the first pass, once the glue has dried i'll knock off the excess and add some more. I will also add in some resin pieces.
Scatter Terrain 19
I finished adding the stores to the last of the pallets:
The last few pallets used the new, larger crates:
Next up I will give these a coat of undercoat before I start adding the tarps. Progress will thus be dependant on the weather.
So don't expect progress on them any time in the near future.

Terrain Time - Ruins 1 & Scatter Terrain 18
You may remember some time ago I did a mould for a long gone GW ruin. I used a cast of this on the second Blight Drone base and also a part on the Jabberslythe/Giant Spined Beast.
The plan was always to do more casts and use them as terrain.
Finally got round to starting these.
Ruins 1
As you can see this is very early in the build. I need to build the bases up next with some foamboard (as I did on the Blight Drone base). The Finnboard is just cut roughly to shape at the moment.
Rubble will cover the gap between the small 'islands'.
On the last piece I did a second cast of the wall with the arch then added this to the first piece. Was a bit tricky but overall very happy with it.
Scatter Terrain 18
I've cast more pallets and stowage but for this update just a quick post as I decided to do a new crate. Basically I wanted a bigger cast, so I took two cast crates and with a bit of fiddling ended up with one big cast which was then turned into a mould...
One of the best things with these stores moulds is that it allows me to minimise any waste resin. Any excess mixed up can simply be poured in, then bits of scrap resin from pour vents, sprues etc can be chucked in as well...
And half hour later we have the first cast:

Recalcitrant Daze - Bit quiet & Realm of Chaos!
For me it's been a pretty long break between posts. This isn't down to me not doing anything it's just that I haven't had anything to do a post about.
First off though some news. Over the years of doing this hobby (since the late 80's) I have made mistakes by not buying certain things that I have spent the years since wishing I had. One of these was Jes Goodwins sketchbook (the Gothic and the Eldrich) which I managed to pick up just before Christmas. One of the other things was a set of books...
I finally managed to get hold of a set last week and they arrived today. Included in those pages are the articles on Beastmen Warbands and Minotaur Warbands that I first read in the very earliest White Dwarfs I bought (if only it was still worth buying) and hooked me into this hobby (along with the Jes Goodwin Eldar sketches in WD#127).
So anyway, over the last week I have mainly been doing moulds and casts.
At the moment I am halfway through casting a couple of gun emplacements - one bought and one for the Rivet Off competition winner.
I have also decided to redo all of my pillar casts. You may remember I did a full set of pillars to try out Zone Motalis, I later did a much improved design of pillar to sell moulds of. Well I have decided as it will be a while before I have time (or room) to do a 'proper' Zone Mortalis board I thought I would do myself a couple of moulds of the Mk II design and cast myself a full set. The Mk II is more user friendly and easier to store. The old casts will be recycled.
I now need to rebase the Mk II master, after doing so many moulds it is ripping free of its styrene base.
The project that took up a lot of time this week was taking this GW ruin from an old Edition of 40k (4th Ed?), filling in the majority of the sculpted damage and then doing a two part mould for it:
And the result is the four casts below:
One of the ruins will become the base of the second Blight Drone, the rest will be used in various states as terrian pieces. Breaking some of them up will allow me to produce larger ruins. My gaming board currently lacks something like this as the scatter terrain currently is just hills and trees (not including fortifications). When I eventually build the Chaos Warhound I am sure the base of that will feature some ruins as well.
That is about it for now. I have more casting to do, this time in plaster so I doubt there will be another update for a few days. I hope to get some more Nurgle stuff in soon though so you never know what may appear.
Also coming in the next couple of weeks another Ork commission, the base vehicles are on order so it shouldn't be long before they start appearing on RD.

That GUO looks so cute.
Chaos Squats! Ah the memories...
If you could still take units like this in a Nurgle 40k army I would be over it like, appropriately, a rash.
