Easter is here!!

Happy Easter friends and family!

We've had a great Easter weekend. A neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt, a visit with the Easter Bunny, family time, enjoying goodies from the Easter Bunny, a delicious Easter Brunch......it's been great!

**I must add a quick update here**
If you've read the post immediately below about the girls dying Easter eggs.....Well......
We left those beautifully dyed eggs on the kitchen table to dry while we went out for dinner. We walked through the door, back from dinner, and Kate noticed the eggs were missing. After searching the house, we find egg shells in almost every room of the house. Bismark was the little thief! He ate 8 boiled eggs and probably a handful of dyed shells. In the words of my neighbor "Bismark will probably have very bad gas for a few days!" And indeed, that is true!

Eggs, Eggs, and more Eggs....

Don't you love watching children dye eggs at Easter! It's a highlight for me. They have so much fun doing it and I have so much fun watching them!

Unfortunately, Brent is battling a cold and allergies today. So while the girls are dying the eggs, the Morgan men (Brent and Bismark) are resting quietly...

And of course, this little guy has been hanging around outside our dining room window all day! Since it's Easter weekend, we won't run him off!

Easter Egg Hunt

Today was Ashlan's Easter Egg Hunt at school. What a beautiful day it was and what a great time the children had!

Our first move towards Kindergarten....

Ashlan registered today......for KINDERGARTEN!

Is this really happening? Is it really time?

She's excited! Me, not so much. My baby, my ONLY baby, is headed to school in the Fall!

Registration was laid back and quick. I was impressed. So honestly, I never even felt the tears coming on. I was proud of myself..
It wasn't until we left and headed to 7-11 for a drink and a donut. When we were checking out at 7-11, the cashier asked us how our day was going. I told her that we had just come from registering Ashlan for kindergarten. Bless the cashiers heart....She's so friendly and wanted to know all about Ashlan's registration and how she AND I felt about it. Ashlan told her she was excited and I told her it was bittersweet for me. The cashier asked if I had any other children in school or if this was my first... I told her Ashlan was my first and only. Then I started to feel the tears coming on..... At least I held out on the tears till we got to 7-11!

Metamorphosis

Ashlan did this craft at preschool yesterday. When we got home, I asked her to tell me about it.


This was our conversation:

Me: "Ashlan, tell me about your craft"

Ashlan: "It's about a butterfly. See, #1 is the egg, #2 is when it becomes a caterpillar, #3 is when it turns into a chrystallis, #4 is the butterfly."

Me: "So, overall, what is Metamorphosis?"

Ashlan: "Mommy, metamorphosis is just the spanish word for butterfly"

I laughed SO HARD!

Let's talk about Bismark!

Well, remember when we brought him home 6 months ago? He was 4 lbs and the cutest little dog EVER!
He could literally fit in the palm of your hand...

Today, Bismark is 8 months old! He is now 18 lbs and full of life, personality, and energy!
He is the PERFECT fit for our family!

Notice the brown growing on his chin...hehe

We are currently working on his Spring wardrobe. We seem to be focusing on 'nautical' attire!

We just got back from a 10 day Southern Caribbean Cruise....Life has been calling so I haven't done a post recently...
