HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Couldn't make up my mind which on to use
Ann does a terrific job on any picture she makes.
"Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday dear Casper
Happy Birthday to me."
Mom: Casper that isn't fair. This month is
Cleo, Patches and was Gizmo's birthday too.
So we are celebrating all of them, even Gizmo's
since he passed in his Birthday month. Don't
forget it was your Daddy's birthday yesterday
too. I estimated by the time all of you
came into our lives as kittens your
birthdays were in the month of July.
So Happy Birthday Sweet Kitties.

Temptation

Blessed is the man who endures temptation;
for when he has been approved, he will
receive the crown of life which the Lord
has promised to those who love Him. Let
no one say when he is tempted, " I am
tempted by God"; for God cannot be
tempted by evil, nor does He Himself
tempt anyone. But each one is tempted
when he is drawn away by his own desires
and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived,
it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-
grown, brings forth death.
NKJV James 1 12-15

Memorial to Gidget

Mom read in today's paper that
Gidget of the Taco Bell fame passed
this last Tuesday of a massive stroke
she was fifteen years old. No more
"Yo Quiero Taco Bell." She was a
cutie but we don't have a picture of
the real her so Mom took a picture
of a replica. Mom loved those
commercials as I am sure a lot
of others did too. I know she is a
woofie but she wasn't to much bigger
than me and she was the same age
as me.

Napping

This is what you do on a hot hot day. Just
bask in the air conditioning and nap. It has
been so hot here lately. It's been over a 100
for eight days now, it was between 106 -109
for a few days now it is between 101-104
Hope it eases up soon but they say no end
in sight. Oh Well, so thankful for A/C.
Today is the 40th Anniversary of those guys
in the weird hats who put their paw prints
on the moon. Wonder if their paw prints
are still there????

Sing Praises to God

Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth;
Oh sing praises to the Lord, to Him who rides
on the heavens of heaven, which were of old!
Indeed He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.
Ascribe strength to God, His exellence is over
Israel, and His strength is in the clouds. Oh God
You are more awesome than your holy places.
The God of Israel is He who gives strength and
power to His people. Blessed be God.
NKJV Psalm 68: 32-35

Hot Fudge Sundae

Mom woke up this morning and
called Cleo a hot fudge sundae.
She is vanilla ice cream with a lot
of hot fudge all over her. I don't
see that. She just looks like a
black and white cat to me. I
think Mom is getting a little
wacky.

Nap Time

Mom surprised me by posting a picture of me
taking my nap today.
&&&&&&&&
We have an update on daughter bean.
She saw her surgeon doctor today
and he told her things are looking good
for her. He said no other surgery required now.
He wants her to have three or four more chemo
treatments, which she doesn't like. He told her
you're body is responding to the chemo. She
also will be getting an appointment with a
radiation doctor soon.
Patches is doing a
lot better. She is picking but not eating
as good as Mom wants her to. Mom might
have to go back to feeding her. She is keeping
an eye on Patches as her outake is not as
good as Mom wants it to be.

Sons of Men and Animals

I said in my heart, "Concerning the condition of
the sons of men, God tests them, that they may
see that they themselves, are like animals." For
what happens to the sons of men also happens
to animals: one thing befalls them, as one dies,
so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath;
man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity.
All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all
return to dust.
NKJV Ecclesiastes 3: 18-20

Rest In Peace

Rest in Peace Sweet Peaches
Loa's sweet Baby

Thank You All so Much

All here would like to thank you oh so much
for all your condolences, purrs and prayers.
All of you out there make it all worthwhile
for blogging. It's been a great three years
and I have met so many new friends. It
really does my heart good!!
&&&&&&&&&&
Well, we have had another scare but it is not
all bad. Patches also stopped eating and
drinking. Called the vet and asked if their
might have been a disease between her and
Gizmo. She said no. She told me to put
Patches on an AD diet and force feed her.
It's working. Her intake and outake isn't
up to par but I have faith it will be. She is
behaving like a good girl and letting me do
it. Like Casper said in the July 5th post everything has changed around here and I
am trying to return it to normal for their
sake.................... and mine.
Again, thank you all so much.

Memorial To Gizmo

Gizmo passed away at about 4:15 this afternoon
and now sleeping a very peaceful sleep. Mom
took him to the vet at 11:20 and left him there
until the vet could do a sonogram on him. His
urine test was not good and his blood test was
fairly positive but the creatine reading was
kind of high. When the vet felt him she could
feel a hard mass where the kidney was suppose
to be. The other vet in the office could feel it too.
They thought it was the kidney but the sonogram
proved it was a tumor. His weight went down to
5.3 pounds and he was in a very weakened
condition and might not have made it through
surgery. The decision made by Mom is that he
has been through enough and put him down.
The vet and Mom discussed it for a length of
time. Mom really didn't want to do it but
decided it was in his best interest.
Mom is going to miss rubbing his fuzzy
belly. He is the only one who would let
her do it.
Gizmo was a real good sport letting Mom
put the Santa outfit on him this past
Christmas.
Gizmo loved boxes like the rest of us. He also loved to go outside in our yard at our other place and walk around and played like we did. Patches, Cleo and I will miss him a whole bunch but I think Mom will miss him the most.
Gizmo would have been fifteen years old
this month. 105 in cat years. Don't know if
we will be celebrating our (Patches, Cleo and I)
our birthdays this month. It won't be the same
without Gizmo.
Mom was also suppose to celebrate her third
Blogaversary July 9th.

Updates

Daughter bean is doing well. Her surgery
was deemed a success. The doctor said the
tissue around where the tumor was excised
looked like it was clear. He will know more
when the tumor has been evaluated.
He made an incision under the left arm pit and
said the lymph nodes are good. Guess that means
unaffected or he would have said otherwise.
Her next appointment will be on the 14th
and he said the next treatment will be
evaluated then. Mom has
been trying to get a hold of Son Bean this
morning but all she gets is a busy signal
on the phone. Gizmo is going to the vet in
an hour and ten minutes. More updates
later. Thank you so much for all your purrs
and prayers. Yes, Mom is needing them now
too.
&&&&&&&&&&
Update on Son Bean
He also is doing well.
Mom is really greatful
that Daughter bean
and Son bean are doing well.
But grieving for Gizmo.

A Good Morsel

Mom came up on this delicous morsel on one
of her walks at her sonbean's house in Michigan.
Don't you think that she could have brought it
home with her so I could play with it then eat
it??? Mom said she thought of me when she
saw it. She told me it probably would be dead
by the time she got home. Well, doggone, you
never know she at least could have tried it.
&&&&&&&&
Mom is in a bad mood today. Guess she has to
much on her mind. Daughter bean is going to
have her surgery tomorrow (Monday) and she
found out her son bean in Michigan will be having
surgery tomorrow too. He is going to have a tube
put in his ear. Mom said he was always playing
with it when she was back there. The ear was bothering
him so much. One thing Mom is grateful for, he
is finally doing something about it. Mom is also
worried about Patches and Gizmo. Gizmo is not
eating again. Week ago today Dad woke Mom
up and said "you'd better come and see this."
Patches vomited up blood in about four
different places, no food just blood with water.
But she hasn't done that since then.
Monday she took Patches to the vet and
she told Mom to keep on eye on her intake and
outake (whatever that means) It only has made
everything different around here. She reported
back to the vet Thursday and said that intake and
outtake was the same but sparse cause she is
nibbling. The vet thinks that when she was trying
to barf she might have ruptured a vein which
caused the blood. Anyway Mom is keeping an
eye on Patches and Gizmo. She will be gone all
day tomorrow to be with Daughter bean.

The Lord's Goodness

The Lord's Goodness to the Faithful
I will praise you with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to You.
Iwill wordship toward your holy temple,
And praise Your name for Your lovingkindness
and Your truth; For You have magnified Your
word above all Your name. In the day when
I cried out, You answered me and made me
bold with strength in my soul.
NKJV Psalm 138: 1-3
