No More Full River

Mom is very sad today. At midnight tonight
the gates to the diversion dam will be opened
for the last time ever and we will never see
the river like this anymore. Bureau of
Reclamation and a judge down in Fresno CA.
which is a couple hundreds of miles from
us, has said that the poor salmon has trouble
making it up river, so the river that Red Bluff
has knowned for the last 40 years will be no
more. The fishermen up here says they aren't
having trouble catching fish, the salmon are getting
up here just fine. Dad saw one caught right in front
of him when he was sitting on the deck. The river
has been so full of boats for the last week trying
to get their last ride in. Oh well, guess you can't fight
the government, at least not in this day and age.
There will still be about a half river left on the
far side bank. It is just not the same.

The Time Is Near

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God
gave Him to show His servants what must
soon take place. He made it known by
sending His angel to His servant John, who
testifies to everything he saw-that is, the
word of God and the testimony of Jesus
Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the
words of this prophecy, and blessed are
those who hear it and take to heart what
is written in it, because the time is near
NIV Revelation 1: 1-3

Cleo and Book

Cleo has been doing some heavy reading and
she fell asleep. Shhh, we don't want to wake
her. She needs a little rest before she
continues. It looks like she wants to
improve her brain. She needs that book.
Wonder if it will help her???

Jesus Christ

Grace and Peace to you from Him who is and who
was, and who is to come, and from the seven
spirits before His throne, and from Jesus Christ,
who is the faithful witness, the firstborn of the
dead, and ruler of the kings ot the earth. To
Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins
by His blood, and has made us to be a kingdom
and priests to serve His God and Father- to
Him be the Glory and Power for ever and
ever....................Amen
NIV Revelation 1: 4-6

The Squirrel

Hi, Mom woke me up so she could take this
picture. She kept saying "open your eyes
Cleo." Oh well, I wasn't in a deep sleep any
way. Mom was reading outside this morning and
saw this squirrel climbing the pine tree out in the
back. She turned around and saw Spot our
next door kitty laying on the ground eyeing
it. The squirrel got to the edge of a branch
and fell off but quickly scampered up the
palm tree with Spot not far behind. Mom
went over and spoke to Spot as he was
again laying on the ground and told him to
please leave the squirrel alone. After awhile
he walked away in disgust. In the meantime
Mom got the trusty old camera out and took
a few pictures of the squirrel. Mom said now
she knows why there aren't many squirrels
around, duh, to many cats.
She was glad she got this picture.

Trust the Lord

But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on His unfailing love. He rescues
them from death, and keeps them alive in times
of famine.

You know I kind of like this. I was posing

House on a Rock

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine
and puts them into practice is like a wise man who
built his house on the rock. The rain came down,
the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat
against that house; yet it did not fall, because it
had it's foundation on the rock. But everyone who
hears these words of mine and does not put
them into practice is like a foolish man who built
his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams
rose, and the winds blew and beat against that
house, and it fell with a great crash.
NIV Matthew 7: 24-27
