Our Heavenly Dwelling

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is
destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal
house in heaven, not built by human hands. Mean-
while we groan, longing to be clothed with our
heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed,
we will not be found naked. For while we are in
this tent, we groan and are burdened, because
we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed
with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal
may be swallowed up by life. Now it is God who
has made us for this very purpose and has given
us the Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing what is to
come.

Good News

It's about time I get my blog site back. Mom has
been too busy with the geese that she wouldn't
let me post my good news. Mom took me to
the Vet a few weeks ago and I got a blood test
and I passed with flying colors. Mom and
Vet Sandy were so elated. Don't know why,
I Am Captain Casper.

The Lesser Light

And God said, "Let there be lights in the
expanse of the sky to separate the day
from the night, and let them serve as
signs to mark seasons and days and years,
and let them be lights in the expanse
of the sky to give light on the earth.
And it was so. God made two great lights
the greater light to govern the day and
the lesser light to govern the night. He
also made the stars.

Baby Geese and Ducks

Mom took this picture right after the babies
hatched. There is still another goose sitting
on a nest a little farther down river. Still
don't know if they hatched or not.
These are Merganser ducks. Mom sunning on
a log with her babies. She has more babies
probably playing not far from Mom. Last seen
all thirteen babies were with her.

Day before yesterday Mom saw another goose
that was all bloody. Mom has been keeping an
eye on it. This morning it passed right by our
mobile and it seems like it's the wing that has been
hurt. She got her binoculers and looked really
close and she can't see a wound under the wing. The geese could have gotten in a fight with another
goose and it got it's wing hurt. That can happen.
The goose is still roaming in the pack and is going
in and out the water. Goose Victory didn't go in
the water any more. Mom called the wild life
lady and Victory is still alive and seems to be
improving. She told Mom that she had to
find somewhere else for it to recuperate for now. Mom can't believe all this is happening. Such
a very hurtful spring for the geese and a
loved Muscovy duck.

Jesus Christ

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He
was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment
that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His
wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have
gone astray, each of us has turned to his own
way, and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity
of us all.

Hooray, Hooray, Hooray

Hooray, Hooray, Hooray, this baby made it. He
or she is alive and doing well. Linda (neighbor) called
the Wildlife lady (Karen)and told her she had some food for
her wildlife refuge and Karen told Linda the Goose
has made it so far but still has a way to go.
It is eating on it's own and walking around. Linda
called Mom and told her and Mom got so excited. Linda
said we have to name the goose. Mom said the name is
Victory. Prayers have been answered. But need more
for a complete recovery. Mom wants to thank you
all so very much for your concern over this
goose and Red Facey. She is trying to visit everyone
personally to thank you for your sympathies for
Red Facey like she did for Patches. She still has
a ways to go since she hasn't been on the computer
to much lately. Oh by the way Karen said she
wrote a letter to the editor also,
sure hope it's printed.
Way to Go Victory!!

Teach Me Lord

Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees; then
I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding,
and I will keep your law and obey it with all my
heart. Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight. Turn my heart toward
your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn
my eyes away from worthless things; preserve
my life according to your word.

Another Attack

We had another attack over this last weekend
This time on a goose, one of the babies from
last year. No one knows how this one was
attacked, as no one saw it happen.
Don't know if this is the same goose from up
above or not. But you can see the wing is held
out a little and it has a nasty wound under it. Mom
called the Tehama county wildlife rescue once
again and she was surprised that they came
out on Sunday and looked at the goose. The
lady put the goose in a carrier to take it back
with her. Our neighbor followed her back to the
refuge to help her with the goose, she cleaned
it while the refuge lady held it. The neighbor told
Mom after she got home that the goose had a
good sized hole on the side with part of it's liver
sticking through and they don't think it's going
to live. Mom prays that this will be the last
attack.
