WarCry. Again

More WarCry.

No Stephen again - he was meeting a man about a thing. Apparently.

So me against General B.

General B.'s crew seem to be almost exactly the same as my Crow Blokes, but just slightly better at everything.
This is my way of saying that I lost. Twice.

Looks pretty though.

Still more WarCry

The WarCry buzz hasn't left the Sherwood Hucknall and Ilko Team yet.
So it was over to Ballroom Manor once again.

First up Steve and the Cowardly Lion Crew took on The Ballroom Plate Head Massive.

The Cowardly Lion Crew claimed victory.

So I took on the victors with the Krow Kabal (but forgot to take many pictures)

I came second.

WarCry is fast and furious. It's also quite unforgiving. Make a mistake or lose a couple of guys early and there's no coming back.

Two games of WarCry

Steve is indisposed (actually he's in Crete, but apparently sat by a pool rather than climbing Hill 107, or walking across Tavronitis Bridge like a proper wargamer would) so General B. and I managed to get in two games of WarCry.

I took the Corvids and he had the blokes with the funny plates on their heads.

Game One saw us each having to kill the others hammer.

 Have some beak, frisbee guy!

 Plates and spears

 Caw!

C'mon then platey fella

 After you

 Swiiish

 Oh look, it's me dagger!

 The death of my hammer

Round one to the plate heads.
Second battle I had the treasure General B. had to come and claim it.

In the back!

 Leader v. Leader

 Crows in the doorway

Slightly different picture, honest.

Hampered by the set up the plate 'eads struggled to get close to the treasure and were cut down before they could fill their pockets. In the end the field belonged to the Crows.

Two fun little games. Second one felt a bit like General B. was undone by the random set up and scenario rather than my top wargaming skillz.
But WarCry is a fun way to pass the time.

Corvus Cabal for WarCry

Steve and General B conspired to but me a set of Corvus Cabal for WarCry in a thinly veiled attempt to get me to stop mithering about playing games set in the Age of Sigmar world.

In retaliation I speed painted them in under a week ready for our first campaign games.

Two pictures of this dude, just because.

The superglue I used on the tufts has frosted the bases (and a leg) on the previous two - need to go back and fix that.

Somehow one of them has gone missing from the individual shots, but you get the idea.

I used some of the Contrast Paints - Flesh, Black and Purple.
Ironically I think they lack enough "contrast" for my taste, so I doubt I'll buy any more (except perhaps yellow).
