Bolletjesdieren haken

Toen dit nieuwe boek van Forte Creatief in de bus viel zag ik meteen dat leuke hondje op de voorkant. Die wilde ik graag maken! Dus vandaag meteen aan de slag gegaan. Het patroon is heel makkelijk leesbaar en het hondje had ik best snel gemaakt. Het hondje is niet heel erg groot, maar dat maakt niet uit. Zeker niet als je houdt van kleine haaksels zoals ik. Ik haakte dit hondje met Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald 3mm. Het enige wat ik verder gebruikte was een naald, vulling en een schaar. Al met al een superleuk projectje voor deze zonnige vrije dag. 

When this new book from Forte Creatief arrived in the mail, I immediately spotted that cute little dog on the cover. I really wanted to make it! So I got started today. The pattern is very easy to follow, and I finished the dog pretty quickly. The dog isn’t very big, but that doesn’t matter. Especially if you love small crochet projects like I do. I crocheted this dog using Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a 3mm crochet hook. The only other things I used were a needle, stuffing and scissors. It was a super fun little project for this sunny day off.

In het begin vond ik het heerlijk om te haken in coronatijd. Ik begon ook meer te bloggen en ik genoot eigenlijk wel van de energie die ik had doordat ik minder onderweg was. Maar langzamerhand begon dat anders te worden. Voorheen zat ik thuis veel achter mijn computer om te bloggen, haakpatronen te zoeken en gewoon inspiratie op te doen. Maar nu ik vooral thuis werk is mijn computer opeens een 'werkding' geworden. En de tafel waar ik altijd aan zat te haken is opeens een werktafel geworden. Dus 's avonds heb ik eigenlijk helemaal geen zin meer om mijn computer open te klappen of aan een tafel te zitten haken waar ik overdag aan zit te werken. Af en toe loop ik met een doos garen naar de bank en haak ik wat rijen van een grote granny square blanket. Maar soms blijft de doos alleen naast me staan en zet ik hem op een gegeven moment maar weer weg. Ik vind het wel jammer, want ik haalde altijd zoveel plezier uit het haken. Dus gisteravond heb ik eens een paar boeken erbij gepakt die ik vorig jaar had besteld en waar ik nog niks uit had gemaakt. Het gaat om Crochet Wreaths & Garlands van Kate Eastwood, Superzachte Knuffels van Eleonore & Maurice en Sweet Crochet Friends van Khuc Cay. Ik werd tijdens het bladeren toch wel weer enthousiast en ben nu begonnen aan een patroontje uit het boek van Eleonore en Maurice. Ik vraag me ondertussen af of ik de enige ben bij wie het haken anders is geworden. Haak jij meer? Of ook juist minder? Of heb je een hele andere hobby gevonden? Ik freubel ondertussen verder en ik hoop dat het fijne haakgevoel weer even blijft.

In the beginning, I loved to crochet during these corona times. I also started blogging more and I actually enjoyed the energy I had from being on the road less. But gradually that started to change. Before, I used to sit at my home computer a lot to do some blogging, looking up crochet patterns and just getting inspiration. But now that I work mostly at home my computer has suddenly become a 'work thing'. And the table I used to sit at to crochet has suddenly becomes some sort of office table. So in the evening, I don't really feel like opening up my computer at all anymore. And I don't want to crochet at a table that I'm working at during the day. Occasionally I walk over to the couch with a box of yarn and then I crochet some rows of a big granny square blanket. But sometimes the box just stays next to me and I just put it away at some point not having done anything with it. I do think it's a shame, because I always got so much pleasure out of crocheting. So last night I picked up a couple of books that I ordered last year and hadn't made anything from yet. They are Crochet Wreaths & Garlands by Kate Eastwood, Cute Amigurumi Animals by Eleonore and Maurice and Sweet Crochet Friends by Khuc Cay. I did get excited again while looking at all the pretty pictures and have now started on a pattern from Eleonore and Maurice's book. I wonder if I'm the only one whose crochet rhythm has changed. Do you crochet more? Or less? Or have you found a completely different hobby? In the meantime I continue to crochet and I hope that the nice feeling of crochet will stay for a while.

Rammelaars en Knuffels

Van de week kreeg ik het nieuwste boek van Annemarie Arts thuisgestuurd. Het heet Rammelaars en knuffels, Haken voor Baby's. Ik kon niet wachten om ermee aan de slag te gaan, ook al had ik niet precies de materialen in huis zoals in het boek beschreven staan. Ik haakte deze bij met een haaknaald 3mm en Phildar Phil Coton 3 (in het boek wordt een haaknaald 2mm aangeraden). Er zit een rammelschijfje in waardoor hij heel lief rammelt. Hij is ongeveer 11 cm hoog.
In dit boek vind je nog veel meer leuke patronen van rammelaars. Van elke rammelaar in het boek is een patroontje met houten ring en zonder houten ring. Als ik goed geteld heb zitten er 14 patronen in het boek, maar in totaal kun je dus 28 rammelaars maken omdat elk patroon twee versies kent. Ik vind het een erg leuk en vrolijk boek. This week I received the latest book by Annemarie Arts. It's called Rattles and Cuddles, Crochet for Babies (only available in Dutch). I couldn't wait to get started, even though I didn't have the materials as described in the book. I crocheted this bee with a crochet hook size 3mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3 (the pattern says a crochet hook size 2mm). There is a rattle inside the bee so it rattles very sweetly. It is about 11 cm high. 
In this book you will find many more cute patterns of rattles. Of each rattle there's a rattle pattern with and without wooden ring. If I counted correctly there are 14 patterns in the book, but in total you can make 28 rattles because each pattern has two versions. It really is a nice and fun book. Speelgoed Haken

Oh kijk nou eens wat een leuk boekje ik heb gevonden! Het is het boekje Speelgoed Haken van de auteur Sarah Pawlowski. Ik had eerlijk gezegd nog niet eerder van haar gehoord maar met dit boekje met 80 (!) haakprojecten zul je haar naam vast niet snel vergeten. Je kunt het boekje hier bestellen. Cutest Crochet Creations

Onlangs kreeg ik dit hele mooie boek in de bus van de uitgever Tuva Publishing. Het boek genaamd Cutest Crochet Creations staat vol met patronen van de Engelse ontwerpster Alison North. Alison haakt en ontwerpt sinds een jaar of zes en dit is haar eerste boek. Wat opvalt aan het boek is dat de projecten zodanig op de foto zijn gezet dat je heel goed kunt zien dat er heel veel werk zit in het haken en het mooi afwerken van de projecten in dit boek. De foto's zijn eenvoudige van opmaak, en daar ben ik zelf erg fan van. Met de zachte kleuren die gebruikt zijn krijgt het boek een hele lieve uitstraling. In totaal vind je zestien projecten in het boek. Allemaal hele leuke amigurumi die ik stuk voor stuk graag een keer wil maken. Het konijntje met de indianentooi is een van mijn favorieten, die ga ik zeker een keer maken. Het boek is geschreven in US terminologie, maar in het begin van het boek vind je een handig schema met een omzetting naar UK terminologie. Dat is handig als je gewend bent om de UK terminologie te gebruiken. Zou ik dit boek aanraden? Jazeker, als je van amigurumi houdt is het echt een erg mooi boek als aanvulling op andere boeken. De patronen zijn weer net even anders en de patronen zijn heel duidelijk uitgeschreven. Als je het boek wilt bestellen dan kan dat hier. Ik wens je een hele fijne zondag!

Just recently I received this gorgeous book of the publisher Tuva Publishing. The book is called Cutest Crochet Creations and it is filled with patterns by the English designer Alison North. Alison is a crocheter who has been crocheting and designing for six years and this is her first book. What I noticed when I opened the book is that the projects were photographed in a way that shows that Alison has spent a lot of time and efforts in making these gorgeous projects. The photography of this book is simple but stylish, a style I love a lot. With its soft colors the book has a really cute appearance. There are 16 amigurumi patterns in the book that I would love to make one day. The bunny with the little feather on its head is my favourite, I'll definitely make it one day. The book is written in US terms but on one of the first pages of the book you'll find a scheme with UK terms. That's very easy if you prefer crocheting in UK terms. Would I recommend this book? Yes, if you love amigurumi this is a great book to add to you collection. The patterns are different from other patterns and they are written in a very clear way. Bloemenpoppen haken

Wat een leuk boek! Het boek Bloemenpoppen haken van Bas den Braver, ook wel bekend als Zabbez, staat vol met prachtige kleurrijke patronen. In het boek vind je 17 patronen: een vlinder, een bij en voor de rest alleen maar hele mooie bloemenpoppen. De patronen zijn heel helder uitgeschreven met een leuke en handige verwijzing naar de kleuren die je moet gebruiken. Dat zie je vanzelf als je het boek bestelt of een keer doorbladert. What a great book! The book Bloemenpoppen haken of Bas den Braver, also known as Zabbez, is filled with gorgeous colourful patterns. In the book you will find 17 patterns: a butterfly, a bee and all other patterns are gorgeous flower dolls. The patterns are very easy to read and Bas invented a nice way to refer to the colours he has used. You'll see when you buy the book or when you scroll through it. From my book: Crochet in the City

Mijn nieuwe boek Crochet in the City is alweer twee maanden uit, maar het voelt nog steeds als de dag van gisteren dat ik 'm voor het eerst vast had. Het blijft een waanzinnig tof avontuur om een boek uit te brengen, en al het werk wat ervoor gedaan moet worden is zo ontzettend de moeite waard. De patronen van de kussens op de foto hierboven staan allemaal in het boek. Als je me vraagt wat mijn favoriet is dan kan ik moeilijk kiezen. Ik vond ze allemaal leuk om te maken en het is heel tof om deze kussens nu via bijvoorbeeld Instagram langs te zien komen in hele andere kleuren. Dus heb je ook een van de projecten uit mijn boek gemaakt, stuur me dan vooral een foto of tag me in een van je berichten want ik vind het heel gaaf om ze allemaal te zien. My new book Crochet in the City was published two months ago but it still feels like yesterday that I held the book in my hands for the first time. It's such a great and cool adventure to make a book, and all work that it takes to make it is so worth it. The patterns of the pillows on the photo above are all in the book. If you ask me which one is my favourite I don't think I can choose. I loved making them all and it's so cool to see these pillows in different colors on Instagram for instance. Dit hele mooie boek kocht ik een tijdje geleden toen het nog niet verschenen was maar al wel in de voorverkoop te bestellen was. Ik volg Mandy O'Sullivan - de maakster - al heel lang, eigenlijk sinds we samen in het boek Crochet to Calm stonden. De patronen in het boek 12 Months of Crochet with Crochetredagape (klik op de titel om het boek bij Bol te bestellen) vind ik heel erg mooi. De deken op de voorkant is mijn favoriet, maar het bijtje is ook superschattig. Leuk om tussendoor te haken en iets groter dan ik dacht voordat ik er aan begon. Met de bijtjes kun je een heel mooi mobiel maken voor een babykamer. Hoe dat moet kun je lezen in het boek. Het boek bestel je hier. Het is nu nog alleen beschikbaar in het Engels maar het zou me niet verbazen als er nog eens een Nederlandse vertaling van komt. I bought this book some time ago when it wasn't printed yet but available in presale only. I'm a follower of Mandy - the author - for a long time. Actually I met her because of the book Crochet to Calm in which we both have patterns published. The patterns in the book 12 Months of Crochet with Crochetredagape (click the title to go to the book on Amazon) are simply gorgeous. The blanket in the front is my favourite, but the bee is super cute too. It's a fun project to make in little time. The bee turned out being a little bigger then I thought. You can make a very lovely mobile of a set of bees. It is all explained in the book how to do this. You can purchase the book here. There is only an English version available at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if the book will be printed in more languages anytime soon. Crochet in the City

En hier is 'ie dan, de cover van mijn nieuwe boek! Het boek is vanaf vandaag in de voorverkoop in mijn webwinkel. Het boek komt begin juni van de drukker, dus als je nu bestelt ontvang je het boek begin juni. Een exacte datum maak ik zo snel mogelijk bekend, en natuurlijk zal ik de komende tijd meer foto's laten zien van wat er allemaal in het boek staat, maar ik zal nu vast wat meer vertellen over het boek.Ik heb het afgelopen jaar heel hard gewerkt aan alle patronen (meer dan 20) in dit boek. Op de foto zie je de Burst of Bloom blanket. Dit was het eerste patroon wat ik maakte voor dit boek.
Ik heb me bij het ontwerpen van de patronen laten inspireren door datgene wat ik de afgelopen acht jaar het meeste heb gehaakt: bloemen. Dat thema zul je in elk patroon in dit boek terugzien.
Het boek is geschreven in zowel het Nederlands als het Engels, precies zoals je gewend bent op mijn blog: eerst de Nederlandse tekst, dan de Engelse. In het boek staan uitgeschreven patronen en haakdiagrammen.
Bij het kiezen van de kleuren van de projecten ben ik uitgegaan van wat ik het mooist vind. Als je me langer volgt dan weet je dat ik van kleurrijke projecten hou, en dat zul je zeker terugzien in dit boek. Ik gebruikte in het boek mijn favoriete garens (Phildar, Paintbox en Durable) maar in het boek zul je een lijst vinden met alternatieve garens die je kunt gebruiken.
Zoals je aan de voorkant misschien al kunt zien zijn de foto's in dit boek rustig en kleurrijk. Mijn uitgever (Loes van Freubelweb) en ik heb nog voordat er ook maar één patroon op papier stond tegen elkaar gezegd waar onze voorkeur qua stijl naar uitging: Japanse haakboeken. Ik denk dat het ons heel goed gelukt is om bij die rustige stijl te blijven. Op Freubelweb kun je overigens ook lezen over Crochet in the City (klik hier).
Het boek ligt nu bij de drukker en begin juni zal het boek verschijnen. Het is nu hier al wel verkrijgbaar in de voorverkoop. Een hele spannende tijd, niet alleen voor mij en Loes, maar voor iedereen die bij het maken van dit boek betrokken is geweest. Hopelijk hebben we een boek kunnen maken waar jullie net zo blij van worden als wij!

And here it is, the cover of my new book! The book will be in presale in my webshop as of today (click here). The book will be all ready and printed at the beginning of June, so if you order now you will receive the book in early June. I'll announce an exact date as soon as possible, and of course I'll show more photos of what's in the book in the near future, but I'll tell you more about the book in this blog post.
In the past 12 months or so, I worked very hard to make all the patterns (over 20 pieces) in this book. The picture of the cover shows the Burst of Bloom blanket. This was the first pattern I made for this book. I have been inspired by what I have crocheted most over the past eight years: flowers. You will see that theme in every pattern in this book. 
The book is written in both Dutch and English, exactly as you are used to on my blog: first the Dutch text, then the English text. The book contains written patterns and crochet charts.
For all projects in this book I picked the colors I love most. If you have been a follower for some time, you will know that I love colorful projects, and you will certainly see that in this book. 
I used my favourite yarns (Phildar, Paintbox and Durable) in the book, but in the book you will find a list of alternative yarns that you can use.
As you can already tell from the cover, the photos in this book are quiet and colorful. Before I started working on the patterns in this book, my publisher (Loes from Freubelweb) and I said to each other that we wanted this book to have the style of Japanese crochet books. I think we have managed very well to stick to that style. 
The book is now being printed and it will be available at the beginning of June but now in presale here. A very exciting time for me and Loes, but for everyone who has been involved in the making of this book. Hopefully we've been able to make a book that will make you as happy as we are!

Gehaakte lappenpoppen deel 3

Na lang wachten viel hij deze week eindelijk in de bus: Gehaakte Lappenpoppen deel 3. De ondertitel is 'De wereld rond' en ik was meteen benieuwd wat ik daar van terug zou zien in het boek. Terwijl ik er doorheen blader zie ik het ene na het andere hele leuke patroontje. Een flamingo, een kerstman en een koala. Maar ook een giraffe en een koe, allebei met gehaakte vlekken. Ik heb al veel lappenpoppen gehaakt en ik ben absoluut fan van deze boeken. Ik vind het ook leuk dat van de meeste patroontjes weer een grote en een kleine versie in het boek staat. Het thema vind ik dit keer alleen wat minder geslaagd. Het lijkt een beetje bij elkaar gezocht op een of andere manier. Maar hoe je het ook wendt of keert, de patronen in het boek zijn allemaal gewoon superleuk dus ik ben hoe dan ook blij met mijn aankoop. Wil je het boekje aanschaffen of even inkijken? After a long wait I finally received it this week: the book Gehaakte Lappenpoppen deel 3 (Crochet Ragdolls part 3). On the cover it says 'De wereld rond' (which means around the world) and I was very curious to see what I would see of that theme in the book. While I browse through the book I see many cute patterns. A flamingo, a Santa and a koala. But also a giraffe and a cow, both with crocheted stains. I've crocheted many ragdolls and I'm an absolute fan of these books. I also like the fact that there are two versions most of the patterns: a normal version and a mini version. But what I think is less successful is the theme. I somehow feels a bit like a messy combination of patterns. But in the end, no matter how you look at it, the patterns in the book are all very cute, so I'm happy with my purchase anyway. Do you want to buy the booklet or have a look at it? Bloed, Zweet en Garen

Dit boekje kreeg ik onlangs toegestuurd, en omdat ik vergeten was dat het er aan zat te komen was de verrassing extra groot. Ik bladerde het door en werd er heel erg vrolijk van. Dat kwam eigenlijk allereerst door de titel. Daarna zag ik dat het boek een soort dagboekje is waarin je kunt opschrijven met welk project je bezig bent, welk garen je daarvoor gebruikt, welke haaknaald en ga zo maar door. En dat is best handig want stel dat je met meer projecten tegelijk bezig bent (ha, dat komt dus heel vaak voor bij mij) dan kan het niet misgaan met al die dingen. Ik vind het een heel erg grappig boek. Er zit trouwens ook blokjespapier in, zodat je zelf je patroon uit kan tekenen. Handig als je van corner-to-corner haken houdt en zelf je patroon wilt bedenken. This journal was sent to me recently, and because I forgot that it was on its way, I was even more excited when I found it in my mailbox. When I looked through the journal I got very excited. First of all, because of the title (the Dutch title means Blood, Sweat and Yarn). When I opened the book I noticed it is a diary in which you can write down which project you are working on, which yarn and what hook you are using and so on. And that's quite handy because suppose you're working on more projects at the same time (ha, that's what I always do) then it can't go wrong if you use this journal. I really think it's a very nice book. It also contains pages with tiny blocks, so you can draw your own pattern. This is especially useful if you like corner-to-corner crochet and you design your own patterns. The book is only available in Dutch. Magical Amigurumi Toys

Ik heb ze allebei: deel 1 en deel 2 van het boek Betoverende Amigurumi-knuffels van Mari-Lüs Lille. Ze is ook wel bekend als Lilleliis en heeft een hele mooie en overzichtelijke website. Alhoewel ik beide boeken ontzettend mooi vind spreekt het tweede boek me iets meer aan omdat de kleuren wat zachter zijn. Het eerste boek is een hardcover, wat heel fijn is want zo blijft een boek meestal mooier. De zachte kaft van het tweede boek past heel erg goed en eigenlijk is het niet zo erg dat de kaft zacht is, want het is toch wel een boek waar je heel zuinig op wilt zijn. Je kunt deel 1 hier krijgen, en deel 2 hier.

I have them both: part 1 and 2 of the book Magical Amigurumi Toys by Mari-Lüs Lille. She's also known as Lilleliis and she has a very pretty and well built website. Although I love both books very much, I prefer the new book because the colors are a bit softer. The first book is a hardcover, which is nice as hardcovers tend to stay prettier. But the soft cover of the second book fits very well and the fact that it is a soft cover isn't too bad because this is a book you'll handle with care anyway. New book!

Eindelijk is het zo ver en mag ik jullie verklappen wat mijn geheime project precies is: in 2018 komt mijn derde boek uit! Ik ben superblij en supertrots dat ik weer een boek mag maken, en dan ook nog precies het boek wat ik graag wilde maken. Een boek vol met garens en projecten die helemaal bij me passen. Kortom: een boek dat helemaal past bij Annemarie's Haakblog! Afgelopen week heeft de fotografie plaatsgevonden. Niet lekker in de zon jammer genoeg, maar op een koude en regenachtige plek. Maar dankzij onder meer Anne Poelmann (fotografie) en Claire Eversdijk (styling) waren het fantastische dagen waarin we met heel veel enthousiasme gewerkt hebben aan iets wat heel mooi gaat worden. En dat het dan af en toe regent, dat is dan helemaal niet zo erg.
Natuurlijk ga ik je via mijn blog op de hoogte houden van de voortgang. Dat zal ik ook doen via de nieuwsbrief die ik vanaf nu wekelijks zal versturen. In de nieuwsbrief vind je een kort overzicht van wat er de week ervoor gebeurde op mijn blog, kondig ik giveaways aan en deel ik elke week een gratis patroontje dat ik vond in de archieven van mijn blog. Inschrijven voor de Nederlandse nieuwsbrief kan hier. De eerste nieuwsbrief is gisteren verzonden, maar als je je voor vrijdag inschrijft dan krijg je 'm alsnog toegestuurd.

Finally the moment is here and I can tell you what my secret project is: my third book will be published in 2018! I'm super happy and very proud that I got the chance to make another book, and that it will be exactly the book that I wanted to make. A book full of yarns and projects that suit me. In short: a book that's totally in the style of Annemarie's Haakblog! Last week the photography took place. And unfortunately it wasn't in a warm and sunny place, but in a cold and rainy one. But thanks to Anne Poelmann (photography) and Claire Eversdijk (styling) and others, it were fantastic days in which we worked with a lot of enthusiasm on something that will be very beautiful. And the fact that it rained cats and dogs every once in a while wasn't so bad at all. 
Of course I will keep you informed about the progress of the book here on my blog, but I've also started sending out weekly newsletters. In every newsletter you will find a short overview of what happened on my blog in the week before, I'll announce giveaways and I'll share some free patterns that I found in the archives of my blog. You can subscribe to the English newsletter here. The first newsletter was sent yesterday, but if you register before next Friday I will send you the first newsletter also.

Crochet ragdoll

Het jaar 2017 stond voor mij vooral in het teken van het Grote Geheime Project waar ik binnenkort meer over zal vertellen. Het was soms best lastig om er niks over te zeggen, zeker omdat ik heel erg druk was maar niet kon laten zien waarmee. En ondertussen wilde ik mijn blog 'draaiende' houden en zo nu en dan natuurlijk iets haken wat ik kon delen. Ik haakte dan af en toe kleine projectjes uit een van de boeken in mijn kast, bijvoorbeeld deze ontzettend schattige lappenpop uit het boek Lappenpoppen 2. Het boek is zo fijn want de patroontjes zijn eenvoudig en leuk om te maken. Ik haakte deze lappenpop met Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald 3mm. Meer blogberichten over leuke boeken vind je hier. En oh ja, heb je de nieuwe vlog van Freubelweb al gezien? Ik geloof dat ik iets langs hoorde komen over het Grote Geheime Project. ;-)

The year 2017 was the year of the Big Secret Project of which I'll tell more soon. It was very hard not to tell you about it, especially because I was working on it so hard but I couldn't show anything of it. And in the meantime I wanted to keep my blog going and I wanted to crochet something I could share every now and then. So at times I made little projects from the books I love, for instance this very cute ragdoll from the book Lappenpoppen 2. The book is one of my favourites as the patterns are cute and easy to make. I made this ragdoll with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm. More blog posts about books are here. Oh, and if you speak Dutch, check the new vlog of Freubelweb. I think I heard something about the Big Secret Project in it. ;-)

Wat een betoverend mooi boekje: Zonnehangers Haken van Yvonne Rietel. Ik ben dan ook heel blij dat ik een boekje weg mag geven aan een van mijn volgers. In het boekje vind je 11 prachtige patronen. Book review

Als je drie prachtige boeken voor je hebt liggen die heel erg verschillend zijn, hoe ga je dan een review schrijven? Daar heb ik even over na zitten denken, en ik dacht opeens, ik maak er gewoon een mooi overzicht van. Met een paar steekwoorden hoop ik jullie dan te kunnen laten weten hoe ik over de boeken denk en wat ze bijzonder maakt. Je kunt het overzicht hieronder zien per boek. En weet je wat zo leuk is? Aanstaande zondag organiseer ik in samenwerking met Craftlab een giveaway waarbij ik twee keer een pakket met deze boeken weg mag geven. Zorg dus dat je zondag langs komt!

If there are three books in front of you that are very different, how to write a good review? Well, I've been thinking about that for some time, and then I thought it would be nice to make some sort of overview. So with a couple of words I would like to let you know what the book is all about and what makes the book special. You can read the reviews per book below, but as they are Dutch books I didn't write them in English this time. And do you know what's so exciting about all this? Boek: Pluis & haar vriendjes haken

Patronen: 15 patroontjes gehaakt van pluizig garen. Maar voor wie liever niet met pluizig garen werkt staat er een alternatief garen genoemd wat je later op kunt kammen, zo krijg je toch een pluizige amigurumi.
Wat ik vind: ik vind het een schattig boek. Dat is echt het eerste wat in me opkwam, en dat komt denk ik vooral door de pastelkleuren die gebruikt zijn in het boek. Het aapje is mijn favoriet, maar met de komst van de twee reuzenpanda's naar Nederland mogen die eigenlijk ook niet ontbreken op je to-do lijst. Het panda-patroontje in dit boekje is ook echt heel lief. Het pluizige garen vind ik geen probleem, maar omdat er mensen zijn die het niet fijn vinden is het genoemde alternatieve garen echt heel fijn.

Aantal pagina's: 96
Kaft: zacht
Patronen: 15 patronen waaronder bijvoorbeeld een sjaal, een omslagdoek, een vest, een deken en een konijnenknuffel. Het boek heeft een romantische uitstraling en het kleurgebruik (vooral blauwtinten) vind ik erg mooi. Bij elk patroon vind je ook een diagram, dus je kunt kiezen of je volgens het diagram haakt of via het geschreven patroon. Mijn persoonlijke favoriet is de kimono, en ik denk dat er voor iedereen wel iets moois in dit boek staat.

Boek: Monsters Haken
Auteur: Kerry Lord
Kaft: hard
Aantal pagina's: 96
Patronen: heel veel verschillende monsters, waarbij je door een ingenieus inklapsysteem in het boek je eigen monster kunt creeeren. De boeken van Kerry Lord zijn heel erg herkenbaar, en om de monsters te haken moet je het niet erg vinden om veel onderdelen te haken. Vind je dat geen probleem en vind je het leuk om zelf op hele eenvoudige wijze een patroon samen te stellen, dan is dit een supermooi boek.
