With Love to Di

Hello friends.

Today is the start of a special event! Di's friend Darnell from across the pond has initiated a surprise Blog Hop to thank Di for the SEVEN years she has managed the Snippets Playground where we go to share our use of those bits of paper left over from past projects, and generally have an amazing and fun time!  Di and the gang are so supportive and it's always a pleasure to visit there.

I used an Inka Gold Smooshed background from my stash, cut it down and
used an old punch to get that decorative edge.

The hearts were left over from a project a couple of years ago and the die cut sentiment
was cut from another snippet of Inka Gold Smoosh.

I used two hearts and glued the center of one atop the other then lifted the edges
of the top one for some dimension.

The love is stacked for added dimension.

Thanks for doing this Darnell! What a wonderful idea to honor a
lovely and generous lady!

The Blog Hop for Di is over at Darnell's Blog
You can visit Di's Playground here.  Don't forget the keys

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

We are so excited at CAS Mix Up today.

Altenew invited us to join in their Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop.

I was honored to be chosen to create a card to represent CAS Mix Up.

Here's a collage of the challenge sites that are participating.
Links are at the CAS Mix Up site
We are honored to be among them.

There are prizes too.
Altenew will be awarding $35 gift certificates to 5 random winners.

And they are offering a free gift with orders over $50 through September 16th

Since our
I used a piece of marbled paper for this beautiful Altenew Painted Butterfly.

I also used this sweet flower from their Botanical Garden set.

The marbled piece is one that my grandchildren made using
shaving cream and food coloring.  The cardstock is coated.
It's something I bought from a local printing company.
It made for some awesome marbled prints!

I stamped and embossed the butterfly on a snippet they left behind.

My first card with this design went wrong and I had to do the front again.
I liked the flower better on the first card so I cut it out and
popped it over the painted flower on this card.
It adds some dimension.

I used stamping, marbling, heat embossing and watercolor.

There's a linky at CAS Mix Up so you can join in the Blog Hop
using your Altenew products.
They have a lot of gorgeous sets to choose from.

I hope you'll join in.

Use some marbling and join us at CAS Mix Up too.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!
