Snowflake

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's such a busy time of year!

I'm skidding in to Inspired By with this card.

I apologize for the photo.  This was the best I could do with the glitter and glare.

The snowflake was in my UFO box.  I'm not sure what I embossed the die cut
with but it has both color and glitter.

On top, I've popped a couple other snowflakes that were hanging around.
One is gold foil.  The other is white glimmer paper.

The sentiment was done with a Glimmer Hot Foil plate and

the embossed snowflakes are left over from my last class.

Snowflakes

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.  Sigh, I don't think we'll be seeing snow here.
So I made some of my own!

I cut a snowy embossed piece into thirds, mounted the pieces on silver foil,
silver heat embossed a greeting and added a die cut snowflake that was
heat embossed three time.  The little "gems" are actually glitter paper cut with
a paper punch.

Let it Snow

Hello.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I know those of you who get lots and lots of snow will not
want to see this.  But here in NC we don't get much snow and it doesn't
stay long if we get some.

So I say...

The elements of this card all came from my UFO box.

There's a background made with the contents of a Lindy's Magical Shaker
sprayed with lots of water.

The die cut front didn't work for the original intention
and neither did the snowflakes.

I think this will make a good thank you card for my
sister-in-law who loves snow as much as I do.

I see there is still time left at

Snowflake for CAS Christmas Reminder

Hello friends.

There's still time to join in at CAS Christmas.

I'm hosting the challenge this month and I chose

I am really enjoying all those beautiful snowflakes in the gallery!

I've cut both snowflakes from the Penny Black Snowflake Duo set from
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  I also cut a larger snowflake from a
piece of Neenah cardstock.

I found a piece of Inka Gold Smoosh in my backgrounds and popped
it behind the Neenah snowflake outcut that had been
subtly embossed and stamped with a sentiment.

Popped the whole thing up with a piece of fun foam
and it was done.

The Design Team along with our Guest Designer, Jane
have some awesome inspiration cards for you

Hope to see your snowflakes in the gallery.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Monochrome for Merry Monday

Hi!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned with some crafting thrown in.

It's been a busy week here but I managed to get a card done for
Merry Monday
thanks to my UFO (UnFinished Object box)

the challenge is hosted by Debbie this week.

I found this piece that I had done using the Embossing Folder Technique.

I rubbed Distress ink on the inside of an embossing folder, spritzed with water
and "stamped" it on a piece of cardstock.

My spritzer bottle and I have a running feud!
It wants to take control and send an over abundance of water to the project.

I was able to salvage a small piece of it that had white snowflakes
instead of watery blue.

A frame that was cast off from another project was the perfect size.

I actually tried to make a shaker card using some acetate from the back of a stamp set.
Nothing would stick to it!
I wonder what that stuff is actually make of?

I gave up on the shakers and stamped a sentiment directly on the image.

I've used this Holiday Snippets set many times and always wanted to
find a card to use this sentiment on.

Here's a close up in case you can't read it on the card.

You can also see the sparkle on the snowflakes.

I thought it needed something else so I winked it with Stella.
However, Stella seems to have lost her sparkle.
So I sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds on the wet Stella.
I'm hoping there was enough glue in it to hold the glitter.
Otherwise whoever gets this card will have an envelope full of sparkle.

Maybe that's not a bad thing!

The best part of today is celebrating our oldest grandson's graduation from High School.

It seems like yesterday he was a tiny baby.

Now he's a big strappin' young man!

We are so proud of him!

I'm hoping to catch him in his cap and gown later today.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Snowflake Ribbon with Inka Smoosh

It's really hard to get a decent picture of sparkle and shine!
This is the best I could do.

I found this piece of Inka Gold Smoosh in my background basket
and die cut this gorgeous snowflake ribbon and the sentiment
from some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

The center of the snowflake is punched from a snippet of silver Glimmer paper
with a punch from my stash.

Flat for mailing which is a bonus!

Poppystamps January Challenge
I think this snowflake is silent. It's been sitting on my desk for a few days
and I haven't heard anything.

And since the Inka Gold requires water to smoosh, I'm sharing this in the gallery at
Challenge closes on the 24th.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Snowflake Border Oops

I made this card for the Memory Box Outside the Box Challenge.

When I went in to get the link I realized I had not followed the challenge.

Oops!

So I used the same idea and did this.

I can't believe I missed that very important part of the challenge!

All is well because I changed the sentiment and I can share this with
Marcia's Merry Monday Challenge too.

Do check out the wonderful inspiration from the DT and galleries at both challenges!

Those snowflakes sparkle IRL.  Couldn't get the camera to see it.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Dazzling Snowflake for CAS Watercolour

It's time for another challenge at CAS Watercolour.

This month our challenge is

I pulled out my big Dazzling Snowflake stamp, stamped it with Whisper White Craft ink
on Mixed Media paper and heat embossed.

Then I sprinkled some Brusho crystals on it and spritzed with water.
I kept sprinkling more and spritzing until I was happy with the contrast.

A sentiment stamped and heat embossed on vellum and a few sequins finished it off.

I can't wait to see all the beautiful snowflake creations at CAS Watercolour this month.
I hope yours will be among them!

Sparkle, Shimmer and Bling for Merry Monday

It's Merry Monday time.

This week, Kathy is asking us to
Add Sparkle, Shimmer and/or Bling
on our Christmas cards.

Do you ever think a card looks great until you see the photo of it?

That's what happened here.

I put a Glimmer Paper snowflake over a Whisper White snowflake
and thought they were all lined up.

It seems that they're not.

But it has sparkle, shimmer and bling.

ANYTHING GOES

Now, I hope you'll pull your Sparkle out and join us at

Thanks so much for the visit and your lovely comments.
I know I'm behind on visiting and hope to catch up this week.

Enjoy!

Snowflakes for Merry Monday

Good Merry Monday morning!

This week's challenge is brought to us by Delightful Deanne.

I got some happy mail last week from my friend Loll (Stamping with Loll).
Not only was there a beautiful card, but some snowflake stencils.

How's that for perfect timing.

Thanks again, Loll.

I used the snowflake corner stencil and sponged with Soft Sky ink.

Then I raided my UFO box for some sparkly snowflakes to add,
stamped and heat embossed a sentiment with silver EP,
and added some rhinestones for a bit more sparkle.

I love this stencil!

I hope you'll find a stencil
(or cut one with your favorite Christmas die)
and join us at

Also sharing this with
HOLIDAY

Thanks for the visit.

Enjoy!
