More Tuberose Washi Cards

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I am really enjoying this Pinkfresh Studio Washi Tape!

We used some of the Dahlias in my class last week and they were a big hit.

I had to get some more and I think this Tuberose is the prettiest they have designed so far.

First up has some die cut leaves tucked around a foiled circle.

I stamped and embossed a sentiment and added a few of the die cut flowers.

Then comes my favorite so far...

I used Pinkfresh's Sparkling Diamonds coverplate for the background and
die cut a slim stitched rectangle for the sentiment. It was so easy to add a few of
these gorgeous flowers tucked behind and on top.

and I added another bloom to the previous card using these cuts.

Several of you have sent me some Washi die cuts and now that the class is over,
I hope to get some on cards.  They are so much fun to play with.  I love to color, but
sometimes it's nice to have the coloring done for you.

Beautiful Tuberose Washi

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

My friend Michele really started something when she posted these Washi tape cards.

One of the things I like the best about these Washi tape designs is that
there is so much of it that you really need to share!

Well Pinkfresh Studio came out with some new designs and I just had to
jump in and get this pattern...

Aren't these flowers gorgeous?

I sent some to Michele and she gave me just the push I needed to get some of
these flowers on a card.

I used the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches for this CAS card.

I believe Michele used a different sketch.
Let's go check it out...

More Washi Tape Dahlias

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm still working my way through this beautiful Washi Tape.
The rolls are so big!  There was enough for  friends, a class and still some left over.

First up....

Sometimes I get wrinkles when I mount the tape on cardstock so I die cut anyway
and can always salvage a few.  It worked out well so I could put two of this flower
on one card.  I hot foiled a diamond frame to bring out the gold highlights in the tape
and mounted it all on these pierced diamonds.

This card uses a background foiled with the Art Deco Hot Foiled Plate.
The piece was left over from another card that I intended to use the whole piece
for a background. I didn't mean to cut a smaller rectangle but it turned out to be
a happy accident as I got two cards from my foiling.

Here's the other Art Deco background...

The cardinal is a very old Stampin' Up stamp that recently got colored with Copics.

Inspired by Friends

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Last fall I was inspired by my friend Michele's die cut Chrysanthemum Washi die cuts.
She is so generous and sent me some to play with.  You can see the cards I made here.

I had so much fun with those die cuts that I couldn't talk myself out of ordering
some of  that beautiful Washi tape and the die.  I order the Dahlias and quickly sent
some die cuts to Michele.  I also sent some to Marcia and Bobby and
asked them to inspire me with their Dahlia Die Cuts.

I had to play too!

For my first card, I started with a base embossed with the Deco Hot Foil Plate
that's also from Pinkfresh Studio.

I added a gold diamond frame and just popped the largest image from the
Washi Tape on top.  I pulled out a foiled sentiment that seemed to work well.

Can you see the gold highlights in the Washi images?

This next card has some Hot Foiling done with the Essential Duo Lines Circle Plate
that was in my NBUS box.  After foiling, I die cut the card front and used some
scraps of foam to lift the frame.  I stamped and embossed a sentiment in the center
of the circle, and added another of these beautiful die cuts to the card front.

This Washi Tape and the dies make beautiful cards very quickly.
I'm eyeing some more of their designs and trying hard not to order more before
I use this roll up.  I think you'll be seeing more cards using this Washi very soon.

Now, I hope you'll go visit these wonderful, creative friends if you haven't
already seen their cards.

I can't wait to see what they did!

Washi Fun x Three

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A sweet friend recently sent me some die cut Washi Tape.
These colors are gorgeous!

She also included the embossed piece in the background.  She used a hot foil plate
to emboss it.  Very clever!  The flowers were laying on this sweet background and just
asking to be put together permantly.  I just added a snippet of gold foil, bow and tiny gold
beads for the centers of the flowers.

For the second card, I went more organic with some Natural cardstock from MFT
that's been embossed the normal way.  I found a snippet of coral that's a perfect match
for one of the flowers and ties a little piece of linen thread.

Lastly, and I think my favorite, I used the two single flowers on a mini slimline card.
I die cut the frame and embossed it to tuck the flowers in the top and bottom spots.

Now I'm trying to talk myself out of getting some of this beautiful Washi Tape
and matching die. It sure makes for some quick and easy cards!
Oh and the three tiny flowers are tucked on the insides.

Thank you again, my friend.  You are always so generous!💖

Sending Thanks

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm past due on getting thank you cards out for Christmas gifts.

Here's a few.

Using some embossed and lightly sanded foil with a Glimmered and Stenciled Butterfly.

Two from last year's January Calendar.

I stamped more flowers on the first one.  So glad I wrote down what I used!

I won two packages of Washi Taper from The Peace on Earth Challenge in November.
One package had this beautiful glittery Washi.  I used a NBUS sentiment set to
stamp, emboss and die cut the thanks.  A very sparkly & shiny card!

On a happy note, my friend Bobby Hagen and her hubby stopped by for lunch yesterday.
We had such a nice visit and chatted so much that we forgot to get a photo.
Hopefully we can get together again while they're in NC.

Christmas Inchies

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm skidding in at the last minute for the Jingle Belles Challenge.

Steph and Lauren are asking for inchies or twinchies on a Christmas card.

I found one last strip of Alexandra Renke Washi tape mounted on a piece of cardstock in
my Christmas UFO box.  I punched 1 inch circles from some of the designs,
punched 1 1/4 inch circles from red cardstock, 1 3/8 inch circles from Champagne Foil
and layered them up.

I added a sparkly snowflake behind the middle inchie and put it all on a piece of
cardstock embossed with holiday words.

As a twofer....

I was able to punch 3 more inchies from the rest of the tape and
made them into a birthday card for one of the guys.

I'd better stop and get the Christmas card in before the challenge closes.

I'll stop in at Rudolph Days too.

Challenges:
Jingle Belles - Inchies
Rudolph Days - ATG Christmas

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Circle Piercing for Queen Stacy

The Queen at SCS this week is Stacy, aka twinshappy!  Stacy has a wonderful gallery, full of inspiration.  She's also very encouraging with her comments and has endeared herself to many, many of us at SCS.  I chose this card as my inspiration.  Here's my version....

Did you notice that I've jumped on that Washi wagon?  LOL, I wasn't going to get caught in that.  Then I was visiting Hobby Lobby and they had some on clearance.  And it was yellow!  So what was I to do?  It jumped in my hands and rode home with me.  Then I got the new Stampin' Up! catalog and saw that they have some.  That jumped in my cart too. So I guess I'm going to be using Washi!

The daisy is inspired by my friend Loll.  You may remember that I've used some of her beautiful, big daisies that she sent me.  You can see one of those cards here and another here.  Loll has also made some small daisies that fell in love with on her blog.  So while I was at Hobby Lobby, a daisy punch landed in my bag too. LOL, I need to stay out of that place!  I think I got it pretty close to Loll's.  Thanks, my friend, for giving the details so I could make some candy!

I punched 2 daisies from some scraps of Whisper White and folded each petal by laying my bone folder along the center and pulling the sides up with my fingers.  Does that make sense? Then I laid each on my piercing mat and used a large stylus to press the center.  This brings the petals up.  I punched a scrap of Daffodil Delight with the circle from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and added some Crystal Effects to the top of it.  After it was good and dry I glued one punched daisy on top of the other and added the circle.  And did a joyful dance!  It looked like I wanted it to!

Loll has a tutorial for her large daisy.  If my how to is clear as mud, check that out.  She did pictures and a wonderful, step by step tutorial.

Addicted to CAS is going in Circles this week

The CAS challenge at SCS this week is Tool Time-Use Your Paper Piercer!  The daisy is a circle with a circle in the middle and I've pierced a big circle all round.

Simon Says Challenge is still doing ANYTHING GOES so I'm taking this over there to join the nearly 1000 other cards in that gallery.

Pixies Playground is still in one piece despite the fact that Di is off celebrating elsewhere.  So I'll take my snippet daisy over there to play.

Wow, that's a lot of challenges for this super CAS card!

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps: So Happy for You (retired)
Ink:  Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Other: Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Scallop Edge Corner Punch (retired), Essenstials Paper Piercing Pack, Paper  Piercing Tool, Crystal Effects, Daisy Punch (Paper Studio), Washi Tape

I'm so glad you could stop by. I hope you'll come again soon.

Enjoy!
