Beautifully unusual!

When there is sensibility and love for nature it is possible for human beings to discover and admire all the creatures living with us, also in those that are normally considered ordinary and dull.
GREAT SHOT, my dear!
It's like a prayer: "LAUDATE SII MI SIGNORE CUM TUTTE TUE CREATURE....!!! (from "Il Cantico Delle Creature" di San Francesco d'Assisi" [The Canticle of Creatures by St Francis])
(God be praised for all His creatures...!)

This is an incredible shot of one of my favorite creatures! They are beautifully designed. The wings remind me of the stained glass windows I grew up with in church. (AND they eat mosquitos too)! What's not to love?

Thanks
Sue B.

where art imitates life - very art-deco.

It reminds me of stained glass with the lines before the color is added. Great macro

I showed this pic to my hubby this morning and he immediately began chattering about a red dragonfly he saw at our pond. Then he suggested I take pictures of it like yours. Funny guy he is.

Stunning macro. Gorgeous composition. You have a macro lens, right? But how to even get close enough to a moving dragon to capture this... amazing...
