Christmas Greetings

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine Window Shaker Weihnachtskarte für Euch. Ideengeber für die Kartenart war, mal wieder, Jennifer McGuire. Ende Oktober hatte sie ein Video für dafür gepostet und ich wollte sie unbedingt ausprobieren.

Today I have a window shaker christmas card to share. Once again I've seen this type of card in a video of Jennifer McGuire. She postet it end of october and I really wanted to try it.

 

 Wie der Name schon verrät, ist hier ein Shaker in die Karte eingebaut. Allerdings ist der vorne und hinten durchsichtig, so dass man, wie durch ein Fenster, das Innere der Karte sehen kann.

Ich habe hier einen oben gefalteten Kartenrohling aus weißem Cardstock als Basis verwendet und aus ihm sowie einem etwas kleineren Stück olivgrünen Cardstocks jeweils das zweitgrößte der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames  von WaffleFlower ausgestanzt. 

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich mit etwas Distress Ink Forest Moss gewischt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

As the name says already there is a shaker included in this card. But it's clear on the front and back so, just like through a window, you can see the inside of the card through it.

I used a top folded white note card for my base and cut the second largest Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower from it and a slightly smaller piece of olive green cardstock.

I shaded the green cardstock lightly with Distress Ink Forest Moss and then splattered white acrylic paint onto it. 

 

 Auf die vordere Folien-Lage des Shakers habe ich die Ilexblätter aus dem Vintage Poinsettia Stempelset von WhimsyStamps mit silbernem Glitter-Embossingpulver aufembosst - einmal oben und einmal unten. Die Beeren habe ich von der Rückseite her mit einem weißen Acrylmarker ausgefüllt.

Ich habe den Shaker mit klaren, hellgrünen und silber-weißen Mini-Perlen gefüllt. 

Die untere Lage der Folie versteckt sich unter dem grünen Cardstock, als oberen Abschluss habe ich einen weiteren der Ticket Frames aufgeklebt. Den habe ich aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. 

 

I heat embossed the holly leaves from the Vintage Poinsettia stamp set by WhimsyStamps with silver glitter embossing powder onto the top acetate layer of the shaker - I stamped the image once onto the top and once onto the bottom of the acetate. I filled the berries with a white acrylic marker, putting the paint onto the back of the acetate.

I filled the shaker with clear, light green and silver-white micro beads.

The bottom acetate layer of the shaker is hidden behind the green cardstock, as the top layer of the shaker I cut another of the ticket frames from silver glitter cardstock.

 

 Ich habe den Ticket-Rahmen nicht ganz mittig aus meiner Karte, sondern etwas nach unten versetzt gestempelt. So blieb oben am Rahmen genug Platz für eine große Schleife. Die ist eine Kombi aus einer der Schleifen aus dem Geschenkbänder und Schleifen Set sowie den Enden der Großen Schleife, beides von Charlie und Paulchen. Die kringeln sich so schön nach unten und verdecken auch das obere Motiv nicht so, wie die zur Schleife gehörenden Enden.

Ich habe die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics schattiert und auf den Rahmen geklebt. Die Schleifenteile habe ich dabei etwas mit dem Finger gerundet.

 

I didn't cut the ticket frame centered from my card but moved it a bit down. Now there was room for a bow at the top. The bow is a combination from one of the bows from Geschenkbänder and Schleifen  and the ends of the Große Schleife set, both by Charlie und Paulchen. Those ends curl up so nicely and they also don't cover as much of the holly leaves at the top as the regular ends, coming with the bow die, does.

I cut the pieces from white cardstock, shaded them with Copics and adhered them to the frame. Before putting the bow together I rounded the pieces slightly with my fingernail.

 

 Im unteren Bereich habe ich quer über den Shaker meinen Text geklebt.

Das Wort Christmas ist aus dem Stanzenset Christmas Season von Altenew. Ich habe es einnmal aus weißem und einmal aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile aufeinander sowie auf den Shaker geklebt. Den I-Punkt habe ich durch eine weiße Perle ersetzt und zwei weitere, kleinere darüber angeklebt.

Das kleine Greetings darunter ist aus dem Set Itty Bitty Holidays von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

In the lower half I adhered my text all across the shaker.

The word christmas I from the Christmas Season die set by Altenew. I cut it from white and dark green cardstock, stacked them and adhered them across the shaker. I replaced the dot above the I with a white pearl and added two more right above the first one.

The small greetings is from Itty Bitty Holidays by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Es ist wirklich schwer, die glitzernden Motive auf dem Shaker zu fotografieren, er reflektiert wirklich stark. Aber ich denke, Ihr könnt es erahnen.

Mit einem silbernen Gelstift habe ich noch einen Rahmen entlang des äußeren Bereichs des grünen Cardstocks sowie des Shakers aufgemalt.

 

It's really hard to take a picture of the glittery images on top of the shaker, everything is just reflecting the light too much. But I'm sure you can kind of see it.

I used a silver gel pen to draw a frame along the outer edge of the green cardstock and also the shaker.

 

 So sieht die geöffnete Karte aus - und hier sieht man den durchsichtigen Shaker echt gut. 

Den weißen Ticket-Rahmen, den ich aus der Kartenbasis gestanzt habe, habe ich von innen gegen die hintere Folie geklebt, um das 3D Tape, das ich für den Shaker brauchte, zu verdecken.

 

This is the opened card - and you can see the see-through shaker pretty well here.

From the inside I glued the white ticket frame, that I had cut from the front of my card base, onto the back acetate piece of the shaker to hide the foam tape I had used to create my shaker.

 

 Den Cardstock, der durch den Shaker sichtbar ist, könnt Ihr hier sehen.

Ich habe ein Stück hellgrünen Cardstocks mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint schattiert und dann mit weißer Pigment-Tinte den Christmas Background von MFT aufgestempelt. 

Im unteren Bereich habe ich ein weiteres Ilex-Motiv aus dem selben Stempelset wieder mit silbernem Glitter-Embossing-Pulver aufembosst und die sichtbaren Beeren weiß ausgefüllt.

Auch der Text im Inneren ist aus dem Itty Bitty Holidays Set von MFT. Ich habe hier das Wort Christmas, das sich ja schon auf der Vorderseite befindet, durch ein Season eines anderen Texts ersetzt. 

Den schwarzen Streifen mit dem weiß aufembossten Text habe ich dann quer über den grünen Cardstock geklebt. Er ist durch den Shaker ein wenig zu sehen, wird aber doch recht gut from gestanzten Wort verdeckt.

Mit einem silbernen Gelstift habe ich auch hier einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

 

This is the cardstock, that's visible through the shaker. 

I shaded a piece of light green cardstock with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and stamped the Christmas Background by MFT with white pigment ink onto it.

In the lower area I stamped another holly leaves image from the same set onto the cardstock. I heat embossed it with the silver glitter cardstock and again filled the berries white.

The text on the inside is again from Itty Bitty Holidays by MFT I replaced the word christmas, that I already used on the front of the card, with the word season from another text of the set. I  glued the black cardstock strip with the white heat embossed text across the green cardstock. It's slightly visible through the shaker but the die cut word hides it pretty well.

Again I used a silver gel pen to draw a frame onto the cardstock.

 

 Und wenn Ihr Euch jetzt fragt, wo denn hier Platz für einen persönlichen Text ist: auch daran hat Jennifer gedacht. Der grüne Cardstock ist nämlich auf einer weiteren, aber etwas kleineren, oben gefalteten Karte angebracht. Darin ist dann genug Platz für persönliche Worte.

 

And if you wonder where you can add a personal text here: Jennifer also thought of that. The green cardstock is adhered to another, slighliy smaller top folding note card. Inside of it you have plenty of room to write some personal words.

 

Eine Spieluhr-Box ohne Musik

Boxen kann man für Weihnachten immer gebrauchen, denn auch die Geschenkverpackung soll natürlich schön aussehen.

Die Idee zur heutigen Box kam mir, als ich kleine 3D-Häuser-Stanzen von Charlie und Paulchen gesehen habe, die auf eine runde Box  aufgeklebt waren. Ich musste sofort an eine Spieluhr denken und dachte mir, es wäre doch toll, wenn sich die Szene auch drehen könnte. Nun, hier tut sie es....

You can never have enough boxes for christmas because I like to have nice packaging for my presents, too. 

I got the idea for this box when I saw a 3D house die set by Charlie und Paulchen, that was glued on top of a round box. I had to think of a music box and thought, how nice it would be, if the scene could turn. Well, here it does...

 

Die Box selbst habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht. Auf die Seitenteile habe ich mit hellgrauer Tinte jeweils breite, etwas unregelmäßige Streifen aufgestempelt. Später habe ich noch einen Rahmen mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt.

 

The box I made from white cardstock. I used light grey ink to stamp some wider, a bit uneven stripes onto the sides. Later I also added a thin frame with a black fineliner.

 

 Die Deko ist auf allen vier Seiten identisch.

Ich habe jeweils einen Stern, gemacht mit einer älteren Stanze von SimonSaysStamp, aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt. Quer darüber habe ich dann ein dunkelgrünes Banner mit einem weiß embossten "make it merry" aus dem Elegant Christmas 2 Stempelset von WaffleFlower aufgeklebt. Drumherum habe ich einige silberne Perlen aufgeklebt.

Und weil ich die Sterne nicht mittig auf die Boxen kleben konnte, da sonst die Texte darüber hinausgeragt hätten, war die rechte Seite, vor allem oben, viel zu leer. Also habe ich dort noch schräg bzw. bannerförmig eingeschnittene Papierstreifen in zwei verschiedenen Grüntönen aufgeklebt und mit einem silbernen Sternkonfetti dekoriert. 

 

The decoration is identical on all four sides.  

I die cut a star from dark grey cardstock using an older die by SimonSaysStamp. Across it I put a dark green banner, onto that I white heat embossed a "make it merry" from Elegant Christmas 2 by WaffleFlower. Around the star I put some silver pearls.

I wasn't able to adhere the stars into the center of the sides because the text banners would have gone over the edges of the box. That's why the top right of the box seemed too empty. So I cut two strips from different shades of green cardstock, cut them into a bannner shaper/off slanted and adhered them there. As decoration I added a silver star confetti.

Auch den Deckel habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht.  

Um die Szene drehen zu können, habe ich in jede Seite des Deckels einen Schlitz geschnitten, durch den habe ich einen ausgestanzten Kreis gesteckt. 

Auch aus dem Deckel habe ich einen Kreis ausgestanzt, darunter befindet sich ein weiterer, etwas größerer Kreis aus grauem Cardstock, den ich auf dem großen Kreis mit 3D Tape angeklebt habe. Durch den großen Kreis und ein Cardstock-Quadrat, etwas kleiner als der Deckel, habe ich ein Brad gesteckt. Und damit der Deckel von innen schön aussieht, habe ich noch einen etwas kleineren, nur 0,5 cm hohen Deckel gemacht und innen in die Box geklebt. 

 

 I made the lid from white cardstock, too.

To be able to turn the scene I cut a slit into each side of the lid and put a larger circle through it.

I also cut a circle out of the lid, under it I placed another, slightly larger circle cut from grey carstock. I adhered that with foam tape to the large circle. I put a brad through the large circle and a cardstock square, that I cut a bit smaller than the lid. And to make sure the inside of the lid looks nice, too, I created another, slightly smaller lid, that's only 0,5 cm tall, and glued that inside the lid.

 

Auf den grauen Kreis habe ich erst Joy to World aus dem Stempelset Elegant Christmas 2 von WaffleFlower weiß aufembosst und es dabei an die Rundung des Kreises angepasst. Neben den Text habe ich  jeweils ein silbernes Sternkonfetti geklebt. Auf den Rest des Kreises habe ich teilweise Schneepaste aufgetupft und darauf kam dann meine Szene.

 

 Onto the grey circle I first white heat embossed a Joy to the World from the Elegant Christmas 2 stamp set by WaffleFlower, bending the stamp to make its shape match the circle. To both sides of the text I glued a silver star confetti. Onto parts of the rest of the circle I dabbed some white snow paste and then glued my scene on top.

 

Die Häuser sind eigentlich kleine Boxen mit Anhänger von Magnolia. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Fenster grau umrahmt und auch die Türen grau angemalt. Hinter die Fenster habe ich hellblauen Cardstock geklebt. Auf die Dächer habe ich gefaltete Streifen dunkelgrauen Cardstocks geklebt.

Die kleineren Häuser habe ich mit einem Kranz, das größere mit einer Türgirlande dekoriert und jeweils eine hellblaue Schleife angebracht. Die Türgriffe habe ich aus kleinen hellblauen Perlen gemacht, von denen befindet sich dann auch jeweils eine auf den Schleifen.

Und der Tannenbaum in der Ortsmitte ist mit dem kleinen Tannenbaum von Farbton gemacht. Auf die Spitze des Tannenbaums habe ich einen Stern geklebt, der aus sechs aneinander geklebten, mittig gefalteten Sternen besteht.

Ich habe alle Teile ordentlich mit Schneepaste betupft und dann alles auf den grauen Kreis geklebt.

Vor die beiden kleineren Häuser habe ich jeweils noch eine Straßenlaterne gesetzt.

 

The houses are originally little boxes with tabs to hang them on the tree or a gift. The dies are by Magnolia. I cut them from white cardstock, drew a grey frame around the windows and also colored the doors grey. Behind the windows I glued some light blue cardstock. I glued folded strips of dark grey cardstock onto the roofs.

 The smaller houses I decorated with a wreath, the larger with a garland around the door and also added a light blue bow to the decorations. The door knobs I created from tiny light blue pearls and glued one onto each of the bows, too.

The christmas tree  in the center of this little town is made using the small tree by Farbton. Onto the top I glued a star, that I made from six stars that I folded in the center.

I dabbed snow paste onto all the pieces and then glued them onto the grey circle. In front of the two smaller houses I added small stree lights.

 

 Die Gärten hinter den Häusern sahen noch etwas nackig aus. Also habe ich noch ein paar winzige Gartenzäune und kleine Tannenbäume ausgestanzt, ebenfalls beschneit und dort aufgeklebt. Die Stanzen sind, ebenso wie die kleinen Straßenlaternen, aus einem Set von Action.

 

The back yards of the houses looked a bit plain. So I cut some tiny fences and small trees, covered them with snow and glued them behind the houses. The dies and also the small street lights die are from a die set by Action.

 

Christmas Blessings

Heute habe ich eine weitere Weihnachtskarte für Euch - so langsam sollte man ja mal anfangen, damit kurz vor Weihnachten nicht die große Panik ausbricht, weil man feststellt, dass man doch nicht genug Weihnachtskarten hat.

Today I am sharing another christmas card with you - it's about time to get started to avoid the big panic shortly before christmas because you realize, that you don't have enough christmas cards at hand.

 

Auch wenn es ein wenig so aussehen mag, ich habe hier keinen Farbfilter über das Foto gelegt. Bis auf das Schwarz ist sie ziemlich Ton-in-Ton gehalten.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellem grau-blauem Cardstock. Auf den habe ich mit silbernem Embossingpulver den Outline Merry Christmas Background von SimonSaysStamp embosst. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

Even if it looks like it, I didn't put a color filter over my picutre. Except for a bit of black I kept it pretty tone in tone.

The background is made from some light grey-ish blue cardstock. I silver heat embossed the Outline Merry Christmas Background by SimonSaysStamp onto it, then added splatters of white acrylic paint.

 

 Für die Deko kam die Postage Collage Stanze von WaffleFlower sowie die Zusatzsetzs Postage Collage Gifts und die passende Coloring Stencil zum Einsatz. Auf die Zusatzsests hatte ich schon länger ein Auge geworfen. Auf dem Stempelmekka hatte die Stempelbar ein paar Artikel von WaffleFlower dabei - darunter eben diese beiden. Ich habe das als ein Zeichen gesehen und beides gekauft. 

Die Postage Collage Stanze habe ich aus moos-grauem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich die Geschenke erst mit weißer Pigmenttinte aufgewischt und mit silberner Tinte die Diagonal Stripes von MFT durch den Stencil hindurch aufgestempelt. 

Die Schleifen und Geschenkbänder habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Bundled Sage aufgewischt.

Das Postage Collage Gifts Stanzensets enhält Schleifenstanzen, die auf die gestencilten Schleifen passen. Ich habe sie aus cremefarbenem Designpapier mit grau-grünem Leinendruck sowie grau-grünem Designpapier mit weißen Pünktchen gestanzt und mit passenden Copics schattiert.  

Dann habe ich die Schleifen auf die Geschenke geklebt, den Postage Collage Bogen in einzelne Briefmarken zerteilt und die Geschenke - bis auf eines, das übrig geblieben ist - auf dem Hintergrund arrangiert.

 

For the decoration I used the Potage Collagedie by WaffleFlower and the add-ons Postage Collage Gifts and the matching coloring stencils. I had eyed with those add-ons since some time. When I attended the stamp fair back in september, a store had a few items by WaffleFlower with them, those add-ons among them. I decided, that's a sign and bought both.

I die cut the Postage Collage die from moss-grey cardstock. Then I inked on the presents with white pigment int and stamped on stripes through the stencil using the Diagonal Stripes stamp by MFT and silver pigment ink.

The bows and ribbons I stenciled on with Distress Ink Bundled Sage.

The Postage Collage Gifts set contains bow dies, that fit exactly onto the stenciled bows on the presents. I die cut those from cream patterned paper with a grey-ish green linen pattern and grey-ish green paper with white dots. I used matching Copics to shade the bows.

I adhered the bows to the presents, cut the postage collage sheet into individual stamps and arranged them on the background (except for one, that was left over). 

 

 Aus dem Stanzenset Postage Collage Mini Seals stammen das Briefkuvert, der Brief und das kleine Siegel. Das Kuver ist aus dem selben Cardstock gestanzt, aus dem auch der Hintergrund besteht, den Brief habe ich wieder aus dem Cardstock mit dem Leinenmuster gestanzt. Und das Siegel habe ich aus mattsilbernem Metallic-Cardstock gemacht. Da es eigentlich zusammengefaltet wird, mein Metallic-Cardstock hinten aber weiß ist, habe ich das Siegel noch einmal von der Rückseite des Cardstocks gestanzt, die beiden Teile jeweils aueinander geschnitten und aufeinander geklebt. So sieht man nur die silberne Seite und das Siegel bekommt gleich eine schöne Dicke. 

Kuvert und Brief habe ich wieder mit Copics coloriert. Auf den Brief habe ich dann noch einen Text aus dem Set Dear Santa aufgestempelt. Ich habe dafür das Portobello-Kissen von Versafine Clair verwendet. Nun, die Idee mit dem Text kam mir tatsächlich erst, als ich die Karte schon zusammengeklebt habe - teilweise mit 3D Tape. Ich war also mutig, habe einen Acrylblock benutzt und den Text aufgestempelt. Es kam, wie es kommen musste, der Abdruck war wegen des 3D Tapes, das an einer Stelle hinter dem Brief angebracht ist, nicht komplett. Also habe ich, so gut es mit dem Acrylblock ging, den Text ein weiteres Mal aufgestempelt und finde, das ist mir ganz gut gelungen. Auch das Wellenmuster links des Briefs, das aus dem Set Postage Collage ist, habe ich erst später mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt - dabei habe ich aber einfach den Stempel pur auf die Karte gelegt und mit der Hand angedrückt. Bei der Post sind diese Stempel ja auch nicht immer perfekt. 

Und dann brauchte die Karte noch einen richtigen Text. Also habe ich das Christmas Blessings aus dem Set Elegant Christmas 2 weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

 

The envelope, letter and small seal are from the Postage Collage Mini Seals die set. I cut the envelope from the same cardstock, that I had used for the background, the letter I cut from the paper with the linen pattern again. And the seal I made from matte silver metallic cardstock. The seal originally gets folded in the center, but my metallic cardstock had a white back. So I cut the seal again from the back of said cardstock, cut both in half and glued the pieces together. This way you only see the silver side of the cardstock and the seal also gets some dimmension. 

I used Copics again to shade the letter and envelope. With Versafine Clair Portobello I also stamped a text from Dear Santa onto the letter. Well, I only got that idea after glueing the card together, using foam tape behind a few of the elements. I decided to take the risk, put the stamp onto an acylic blog and stamped it onto the letter. And of course the stamp wasn't complete because there is a smaller piece of foam tape behind the letter. I did my best to line the text up again - always a task with an acrylic blog - and stamped it again. I think, I didn't do that bad of a job here.

Also the wavy cancellation  stamp on the left side was stamped with black ink after the card was put together. Here I simply put the inked stamp onto the card and pressed it on with my fingers - those cancellation stamps the post puts on the mail aren't stamped perfectly most of the times.

And then my card needed a real text. I white heat embossed the "christmas blessings" from Elegant Christmas 2 onto black cardstock, cut it out and glued it on.

 

 Hier sieht man die unterschiedlichen Höhen, die ich durch dickes und dünnes 3D Tape kreiert habe, ganz gut.

Als Deko habe ich einige aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzte Ilex-Blätter unter einige der Geschenke und den Umschlag geschoben. In die Mitte des silbernen Siegels habe ich ein silbernes Sternkonfetti geklebt und zwei weitere davon auf dem Brief angebracht. Außerdem habe ich einige silberne Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Here you can see the different layers, that I created with thin and thick foam tape, pretty good.

I tucked a few holly leaves, that I cut from black cardstock, under a few of the presents and the letter. Into the center of the silver seal I glued a silver star confetti and added two more of those to the letter. I also glued a few silver pearls onto the card.

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Eine Halloweenkarte in Buchform

Als diese Karte vor ein paar Tagen entstanden ist, war ich eigentlich schon durch mit Halloween. Aber dann fiel mir ein, dass ich mir im Sommer das Boo-Set mit dem süßen dicken Bären auf dem Besen bestellt hatte. Das wollte ich natürlich noch dieses Jahr einweihen.

When I made this Halloween card a few days ago I had thought that I am through with Halloween. But then I remembered that I had ordered the Boo stamp set with this cute chubby bear on a broom back in summer. And I wanted to use it this year and not wait until next.

 

Auf der Suche nach einer Idee, wie ich den Bären einsetzen könnte, fiel mir das Have a Spine Stanzenset von TheGreetery ein. Also ist eine Karte in Buchform entstanden.

Ich habe den Buchrücken aus grauem Cardstock, die Seiten aus matt-godenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Den Buchrücken habe ich mit Distress Ink Black Soot ein wenig gewischt. Dann habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver einen der Texte aus dem Itty Bitty Boos Set von MFT aufembosst.

Unten zwischen die Seiten habe ich einen Seitenmerker in Form eines Fähnchens eingesteckt, das ich einfach per Hand aus lilafarbenem Cardstock zugeschnitten habe.

 

Looking for an idea how to use the bear I remembered the Have a Spine die by TheGreetery. So I made a book shaped card.

I die cut the spine from grey, the pages at the bottom from matte gold metallic cardstock. I shaded the spine with Distress Ink Black Soot, then I white heat embossed one of the texts from Itty Bitty Boos by MFT onto it. 

Between the pages at the bottom I put a little bookmark in the shape of a banner, that I simply cut from purple cardstock by hand.  

 

 Das Buchcover habe ich aus lilafarbenem Carstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich mit einem Wolkenstencil und weißer Pigment-Tinte Wolken aufgewischt und goldene Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Aus der Mitte des Cardstocks habe ich dann eine Mondsichel gestanzt. Die ist mit der Over the Moon Stanze von MFT gemacht.

Den Bären und die weiteren Motive, alle aus dem bereits erwähnten Boo Stempelset von WaffleFlower, habe ich mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Mit der Boo-Stanze von PrettyPinkPosh habe ich den Text gestanzt. Er besteht aus zwei Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks und darauf, leicht versetzt, einer Lage matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock. 

Ich habe noch einige langgezogene Wolken aus Vellum gestanzt und auf der Karte verteilt. Die Klebepunkte habe ich mit kleinen Sternchen überdeckt.

 

The book cover I cut from purple cardstock. Using white pigment ink and a cloud stencil I stenciled some clouds onto the cover and then splattered gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.

From the center of the cover I die cut a moon using the Over the Moon die by MFT.

The bear and the other images are from said Boo set by WaffleFlower. I colored them with Copics and cut them out by hand.

The text I cut from gold metallic cardstock and put two layers of black cardstock a bit offset underneath. The die I used is by PrettyPinkPosh.

I also cut some thin clouds from vellum and adhered them to the cover. The glue, that's visible through the vellum, I've hidden behind some small stars.

 

 Die Motive sind mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Mit einem goldenen Gelstift habe ich einen Rahmen auf das Cover und das Fähnchen gemalt. 

Um das Buch geschlossen zu halten, habe ich orangefarbenes Twine um die Karte gewickelt und rechts zu einer Schleife gebunden.

 

I adhered the images with thin foam tape. Then I drew a frame onto the cover and the banner using a gold gel pen.

To hold the book closed I wrapped some orange twine around the card and tied it to a bow. 

 

 Die Sternchen auf der Kartenfront verdecken nicht nur die Klebepunkte unter dem Vellum, sie leuchten auch im Dunkeln. 

 

The stars on the card not only cover the glue under the vellum but als glow in the dark.

 

 Öffnet man die Karte, sieht man, dass der gelbe Cardstock, der hinter dem Mond zu sehen ist, im Inneren der Karte aufgeklebt ist. 

Den Mond habe ich mit Folie hinterlegt und dann schwarzen Cardstock, aus dem ich an gleicher Stelle einen Mond ausgestanzt habe, von hinten gegendas Cover geklebt.

Auch die Rückseite des Buches ist aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht.

 

When you openthe card you can see, that the yellow cardstock, that's visible through the moon, is adhered to the inside of the card.

I backed the moon with acetate and then put some black cardstock, that I cut a moon from as well, onto the back of the cover.

Also the back of the card is made from black cardstock.

 

 Für die Innenseite der Karte habe ich hellgelben Cardstock mit ein wenig Distress Ink Scattered Straw und Wild Honey gewischt. Dann habe ich per Second Generation Stamping den Ghoulish Greetings Background von MFT mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone aufgestempelt. 

Auch hier habe ich zwei Wolken aus Vellum aufgeklebt und einen Rahmen mit einem goldenen Gelstift aufgemalt.

Unten auf den Cardstock, so dass er bei geschlossener Karte nicht sichtbar ist, habe ich noch einen weiteren Halloween-Gruß aus dem Itty Bitty Boos Stempelset aufgeklebt. Er ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

For the inside of the card I inked a piece of light yellow cardstock with a bit of Distress Ink Scattered Straw and Wild Honey. Then I did second generation stamping and stamped the Ghoulish Greetings Background by MFT with Distress Ink Pumice Stone onto the cardstock.  

 Again I adherd two clouds cut from vellum and drew a frame with a gold gel pen.

At the bottom of the card, so it's not visible when the card is closed, I added another Halloween greeting from the Itty Bitty Boos stamp set. I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock. 

 

Mekka-Einkäufe die Zweite

Im heutigen Post zeige ich Euch ein weiteres Werk, auf dem die ein oder andere Errungenschaft des diesjährigen Stempelmekkas zum Einsatz kam. Und ich glaube, hiermit eröffne ich dann auch die Weihnachtsbastel-Saison. Wobei ich denke, Weihnachtliches wird sich hier noch ein wenig in Grenzen halten. Weil der Nussknacker von CreativeDepot für uns aber zur Mission wurde, musste ich ihn auch zeitnah verbasteln.

In today's post I am sharing with you another project that I used a few of my finds at this year's Stempelmekka on. And I think, with this card christmas craft season is officially here. But don't worry, I will keep christmas stuff very low for quite some time. This nutcracker stamp by CreativeDepot became a mission to us and so I had to use it as soon as possible.

 

Mission? Ich erzähle Euch die Geschichte, dann habt Ihr was zum Schmunzeln.

Das Nussknacker-Motiv war bereits als Vorschau für die am Mekka angebotenen Tüten-Workshops zu sehen, allerdings nur als Deko auf der Tüte. Deren Größe kannten wir nicht und somit auch nicht, wie groß der Stempel sein könnte. Im Lagerfeen-Schnack auf YouTube, in dem jeden Freitag (und somit auch am Tag unserer Anreise) die Neuheiten der Woche gezeigt werden, wurde das Stempelset auch nicht gezeigt. Wir vermuteten schon richtig, dass sie das erstmal nur auf dem Mekka verkaufen wollten - aber keine Angst, es kommt später noch in den Shop. Meine Freundin und ich waren aber so angtan von dem Motiv, dass wir immer weiter drüber reden mussten - und als dann die Neuheiten im Shop waren, konnten wir immerhin rausfinden, dass das Stempelset eine Größe von 10 x 10 cm haben müsste. Also haben wir unser Schul-Mathe hervorgekramt und mit Satz des Pythagoras sowie dem Abzug der nicht ausgefülten Ecken der Stempelfolie die vermutliche Größe errechnet. Übrigens absolut richtig, wie wir am nächsten Morgen im Hotel vom Team von CreativeDepot erfahren haben. 

Dieses Stempelset war dann auch das allererste, das wir auf dem Mekka gekauft haben. Erstens natürlich aus Angst, es könnte später ausverkauft sein und dann auch, weil wie beide absolute Stanzen-Junkies sind und die Messe für uns eher "Stanzen- und paar Stempel-Mekka" heißen müsste. Also wollten wir das Mekka bewusst mit einem Stempel beginnen. Tja, wir Stempler sind manchmal eben ein wenig verrückt.... ;)

So, nun aber zum Projekt. Das ist von der neusten Kollektion von TheGreetery inspiriert. Dort gibt es ein Capsules Stanzen- und Stempelset. Leider verschickt TheGreetery ja schon länger nicht mehr nach Deutschland und der einzige Shop in Europa, der die Firma anbietet, tut dies seit Anfang des Jahres auch nicht mehr. Ich finde das echt schade und ehrlich gesagt bin ich auch ein wenig sauer. Gerade wenn man schon Basis-Artikel der Firma hat, zu denen es immer weitere Erweiterungen gibt, an die man dann aber nicht mehr rankommt. Nun gut, dann probiere ich das Grundprojekt eben so gut es geht nachzubauen. 

Und da kommt schon die erste Mekka-Neuheit ins Spiel: das Fenster mit dem Muster samt Aufleger. Eigentlich ist das ein Fenster-Stanzenset für die Papiertüten von CreativeDepot, das wurde mir aber erst später bewusst. Ich habe es gesehen und dachte mir, es wäre perfekt für diese Karte. Damit habe ich dann das oberste Fenster gestanzt und seitlich je zwei ziehharmonika-förmig gefaltete Papierstreifen angesetzt, zwischen denen sich eine Lage Folie befindet. So poppt die Karte auf, wenn man sie aus dem Umschlag nimmt, lässt sich zum Verschicken aber recht flach zusammenfalten. 

 

Mission? I am telling you the story to give you a good laugh.

CreativeDepot did some giftbag workshops at Stempelmekka and those you had to book in advance. When booking them, you got a preview of the giftbag and some had the nutcracker on them. We didn't know the size of the giftbags and so weren't able to tell the size of the image. Every friday morning - that's the day we traveled to Dortmund - they post a video on YouTube, where they show this week's new products, but the nutcracker wasn't in them.  We thought, maybe it will only be available at the fair and we found out, that we were right. It will be available in the shop later in the year. My friend and I were so in love with the image, that we couldn't stop talk about it. When the new products of the week went online in the shop we found out, that the stamp sheet should be about 10 x 10 cm. So we remembered all the maths we learned back to school and with the help of the Pythagorean Theorem and by subtracting the empty corners of the sheet we thought to have found out the size of the image. When we went to breakfast the next morning some of the CreativeDepot team was there, too, and we had to tell them this story. Turned out that we were completly right about the size. 

So this stamp set was the very first thing we bought at the fair. Not only because we were afraid it might sell out, but also because we are both die-aholics. For us, the fair should be named "dies and a few stamps Mekka" instead of "stamp Mekka". So we decided to make a stamp our first purchase because of the name of the fair. I know, us crafters are a bit crazy every now and then... ;)

Okay, on to the project! It is inspired by the new collection by TheGreetery. They have a new Capsules stamp- and die set. Sadly they don't ship to Germany anymore since quite some time but since about a year the one and only european store, that is allowed to carry them, stopped shipping to the EU, too. I am really sad about it - and also a bit angry. Especially if you have bought some kind of basic die, that they come out with additions now and that you are not able to get anymore. Well, so I had to try to make my own version.

That's where the first Mekka-purchase for today's post comes into play: the window die. It's actually an additional window for the giftbag die, but I only realized that a lot later. I just saw the set and knew it will be perfect for what I had in mind. I die cut the top window with it and put two accordion folded strips to each side of the frame, putting a piece of acetate inbeween. The card pops up when taken out of the envelope but can be folded pretty flat for mailing. 

 

 Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit weißer Paste die Elemente des ersten Stencils des Poinsettia Layering Stencil Sets von WaffleFlower aufgetragen habe - übrigens ist auch das auf dem Mekka in meine Tasche gewandert - es war der allerletzte Kauf am Sonntag. Somit eröffnet und schließt diese Karte quasi mein diesjähriges Mekka....

 Die Lage 2 habe ich mit silberner Astro-Paste auf Acetate aufgetragen. Durch den Abstand zwischen den beiden Lagen - der ja durch den Cardstockstreifen seitlich entsteht - wirkt das Muster wunderbar plastisch. 

Hinter dem oberen Teil des oberen Rahmens habe ich zwei Pinienäste geklebt. Sie sind aus olivgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit etwas weißer Acrylfarbe  betupft. 

Auf den Aufleger mit dem ausgestanzten Fenster habe ich einen Rahmen aus olivgrünem Cardstock geklebt. Dafür habe ich das Fenster erneut ausgestanzt und entlang des gepunkteten Rands mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. So sind übrigens auch die schwarzen Cardstockstücke entstanden, denn die rechteckige  Stanze im Set - die ohne Deko - passt nicht genau zu der mit der Deko, sie ist ein wenig länger. Aber es ging auch so ganz gut.

Unten auf den Rahmen habe ich noch ein Banner aufgeklebt, auf das ich einen Weihnachtsgruß aus dem Set Wonder of Christmas von HoneyBeeStamps aufgestempelt habe. Das Banner ist mit der Elegant Folded Banner Stanze von MFT aus weißem Cardstock gemacht und mit Copics schattiert.

 

In the background there's a piece of black cardstock, that I stenciled the first of the two layering stencils from the Poinsettia layering stencil set by WaffleFlower onto using white paste. This is also something I bought at the fair - acutally it was my very last buy. So this card kind of starts and finishes this year's Mekka for me...

The second layer I did with silver AstroPaste on a piece of acetate. The distance between the layers, created by one of the cardstock strips on the side, makes the pattern wonderfully dimensional.

Behind the top piece of my card I put two pine branches. I cut them from olive green cardstock and dabbed some white acrylic paint onto them.

I glued a frame, made from olive cardstock around the window in the top layer. I simply cut out the window again and cut with my scissors along the dotted line. This is also how I made the base pieces - the plain rectangle die in the set with the giftbag window doesn't work for that, it's a bit taller. But it wasn't too hard to cut by hand.

To the bottom of the frame I put a banner, that I stamped a christmas greeting from Wonder of Christmas by HoneyBeeStamps onto. I die cut the banner from white cardstock using the Elegant Folded Banner die by MFT, then shaded it with Copics.

 

 Und jetzt kommen wir endlich zum Nussknacker, dem Star der Show - äh Karte. Ich wollte ihn weiß-silber colorieren. Also habe ich ihn mit grauer Tinte abgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Die dunkler grau colorierten Elemente habe ich mit einem Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert, bei den weißen Elementen habe ich die Outlines mit einem feinen weißen Gelstift nachgemalt. Sie sind durch das Weiß immer noch etwas erkennbar, trotzdem wirken die Elemente so wirklich weiß. Die Outlines der Deko auf der Brust und des Säbels habe ich mit einem silbernen Gelstift nachgemalt. Und die Augen habe ich mit einem scharzen Fineliner nachgemalt, denn die sahen in Grau komisch aus. Oben auf die Edelsteine am Hut habe ich silberne Perlen geklebt. 

Ich habe den Nussknacker mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und dann mit 3D Tape auf die Folie in der Karte geklebt. Dort habe ich dann auch noch ein paar grüne Perlen verteilt. 

 

And now let's finally talk about the nutcracker, who's the star of the show - ehm card - here. I  wanted to color him in white and silver. So I stamped the image with a grey ink pad and colored him with Copics. The darker grey colored elements I made shimmery with an Aqua Shimmer Pen. With the white elements I used a fine white gel pen to go over the stamped lines. They are still kind of visible, but this makes the white pieces appear really white. I re-drew the decoration on the nutcracker's chest with a silver gel pen and re-did his eyes with a black fineliner - they really looked strange in grey. On top of the diamonds on the nutcracker's hat I glued some silver pearls.

I cut the image out with my scissors and adhered him with foam tape to the acetate. Then I also glued some green pearls to the acetate.

 

 Könnt Ihr auf diesem Bild die Tiefe und die verschiedenen Lagen der Karte erkennen? Ich finde den Effekt grandios.

 Sicher  habt Ihr schon die Schleife aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock am oberen Rand der Karte entdeckt - und auch die Schleifenenden am unteren Rand der Karte. Nun, die ist nicht nur Deko, man kann damit ein weiteres Kärtchen, das hinter einem "doppelten Boden" hinten auf der Karte eingebaut ist, herausziehen.

Und diese Idee habe ich in einem Video von TheGreetery gesehen.  

 

For sure you've already spotted the bow, made from silver glitter cardstock, at the top of the card and also the ribbon ends at the bottom. This is not just decoration, you can pull out a card, that's hidden behind a doubled up layer at the back of the card,  with it.

I saw this idea in a video by TheGreetery.

 

 Die Schleife ist ebenfalls auf dem Mekka gekauft und aus dem Weihnachts-Countdown Stanzenset von Charlie und Paulchen. Statt der im Set enthaltenen Bandenden habe ich einfach gerade Cardstockstreifen aus dem silbernen Glitter-Cardstock geschnitten und unten Dreiecke herausgeschnitten. 

Die Schleife habe ich mit Polychromos ein wenig schattiert und dann mit 3D Tape zusammengesetzt, so dass sie nicht ebenfalls in die Tasche hinter der Karte mit hineinrutschen kann.

 

The bow I made with a die from another set I bought at Stempelmekka. It's from Weihnachts-Countdown by Charlie und Paulchen. Instead of the ribbon ends that are included in the set I simply cut two strips from the silver glitter cardstock and cut little triangles from the ends.

I shaded the bow with Polychromos and then put it together with foam tape to make sure, it doesn't slide into the pocket at the back of the card, too.

 

 Das Kärtchen hier ist übrigens mit der zweiten Stanze aus dem Set mit dem schnörkeligen Fenster, sie passt perfekt hinter meine Karte. Ich habe sie aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und dann ein olivgrünes Etikett mittig aufgeklebt. Auf das habe ich einen weiteren Text aus dem Wonders of Christmas Set weiß aufembosst und einen Rahmen aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock aufgeklebt. Das Etikett ist mit dünnem 3D Tape befestigt, so kann man dahinter eine Geschenkkarte stecken.

Und weil ich noch die olivegrünen Schnörkel vom Gestalten meines Rahmens für die Vorderseite übrig hatte, habe ich den kurzerhand als Deko aufgeklebt. Wie schon erwähnt, passen die beiden Fenster nicht genau auf-/zueinander. Aber ich habe einfach ein Stück in der Länger herausgeschnitten und die Enden passten perfekt in die Rundung meines Tickets.

 

I made this little card with the second die from the giftbag window die set, it fits perfectly behind my card. I cut it from black cardstock and then adhered an olive green label onto it. I white heat embossed another text from Wonders of Christmas onto the labe and then glued a frame, cut from silver glitter cardstock, around it. The label I adhered with thin foam tape, this way a giftcard can easily slid behind the labe. 

And since I had these green flourishs left from creating the frame on the outside of my card I simply used it to decorate the small card. As I already mentioned, the pieces don't fit onto each other. I just cut the sides a bit shorter and the rounded ends fit perfectly into the cut out corners of my label.

 

Herbstkarte mit Sommertouch

Bei der heutigen Karte bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher - ist das noch eine Sommer- oder schon eine Herbstkarte. Okay, der Text müsste für ersteres anders sein, aber vom Look her würde  sie als beides durchgehen.

I am not entirely sure, if today's card is still a summer or already a fall card. Okay, the text doesn't go with a summer card, but the overall look of the card would fit both.

 

Ich habe hier den Woodgrain Texture Background von WaffleFlower in ein Stück hell-türkis farbenen Cardstocks gestanzt und dann die dazu gehörigen Stencils zum Colorieren verwendet. Ich habe Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Broken China benutzt und auch die Ränder des Cardstocks etwas damit abgedunkelt. 

 

I die cut the Woodgrain Texture Background by WaffleFlower  into a piece of light aqua cardstock and then used the matching stencils to add the details. I did the details with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Broken China and also darkened the edges of the whole cardstock slightly. 

 

 Die Sonnenblumen sind mit der Sunflower Cluster Stanze von WaffleFlower gemacht. Auf die großen Sonnenblumen habe ich jeweils noch die obere Lage aus dem Sunflower Set gesetzt. Auch hier habe ich - bis auf die obere Lage der großen Sonnenblumen - die passenden Stencils zum Colorieren benutzt. 

Die Sonnenblumen sind mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber und Wild Honey, die Blumenmitten mit Gathered Twigs und Ground Espresso gewischt. Für die Blätter habe ich Shabby Shutters und Peeled Paint verwendet. 

Nach dem Einfärben der Stanzteile habe ich noch einige Schatten und Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt.

Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich eine Karte gesehen - und ich weiß nicht mehr, wo - bei der einer der großen Blumen-Cluster von WaffleFlower mittig halbiert und dann an die obere und untere Kante der Karte geklebt wurde. Das wollte ich ausprobieren. Also habe ich ganz mutig meine fertig colorierten Sonneblumen-Cluster halbiert und aufgeklebt. Das Ergebnis überzeugt mich absolut. 

Nach dem Aufkleben der Sonnenblumen auf den Hintergrund habe ich auf alles weiße Acrylfarbe  gespritzt. 

 

The sunflowers I made with the Sunflower Cluster die by WaffleFlower. Onto each of the large sunflowers I glued  just the top layer of the large sunflower from the Sunflower die set. Again I used the matching stencils to color the image - except for the top layer of the large flowers. I inked the flowers with Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey, the flower centers with Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso. For the leaves I used Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint.

After inking the image(s) I used my Polychromos to add some details and shadows.

A little ago I saw a card - and I can't remember where - where the creator cut one of the large flower clusters by WaffleFlower in half and adhered each half to one of the edges of the card. I really wanted to try that. So I was brave and cut my already colored image in half, then adhered it to the background. I really like the result.

After attaching the flowers to the background I splattered white acrylic paint onto the whole panel.

 

 Mittig zwischen die beiden Blumen-Cluster habe ich meinen Text geklebt. Das Wort fall ist Teil der Giant Happy Fall Stanze von LawnFawn. Ich habe hier eine Lage aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock und eine aus hellblauem Schimmer-Cardstock aufeinander geklebt. 

Das kleine Wort Hello ist  aus dem Bitty Holiday Messages Set von MFT und weiß auf dunkelbraunen Cardstock embosst. 

 

Into/over the empty space between the flower cluster (parts) I put down my text. The word fall is part of the Giant Happy Fall die by LawnFawn. I stacked one piece cut from brown cardstock and once cut from light blue shimmer cardstock.

The small hello above it is from Bitty Holiday Messages by MFT and white heat embossed onto dark brown cardstock.

 

 Die beiden Blumen-Elemente habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich auf die Mitten der großen Sonnenblumen jeweils ein weißes Herz geklebt, außerdem habe ich einige hellorange-gold irisierende Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

Dann habe ich den dekorierten Carstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I backed the flower elements with thin foam tape.

As decoration I adhered a white clay heart to the center of the two larger flowers and also scattered some light orange-gold iridescent pearls on the card.

Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

 

Sommerkarte mit Gutscheintasche

Inzwischen haben auch in Bayern die Sommerferien angefangen und die Urlaubszeit ist da. Da kann man einen Gutschein ruhig mal sommerlich verpacken.

Summer break has finally also started here in Bavaria and everyone's going on vacation. So I decided, to make a summer-ish giftcard holder.

 

Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich Euch kleine Badetaschen gezeigt. Nun kam mir die Idee, dass ich die, wenn ich sie weniger tief mache, die bestimmt auch auf eine Karte kleben könnte. Und es hat tatsächlich geklappt - meine Tasche ist noch etwa 0,7 cm tief. Und es passt perfekt eine Geschenkkarte hinein, die Ihr auf dem Foto oben noch sehen könnt.

 

A little ago I shared with you some beach bag goodies. I had the idea of making it less deep to be able to glue it on a card. It really worked - my bag is about 1/4" thick. And the bag has the perfect size to put a giftcard into it, as you can see on the picture above.

 

 Hier habe ich die Geschenkkarte herausgenommen, so dass ma von der Karte mehr sieht.

Der Hintergrund besteht hier ganz einfach aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich von unten mit Distress Oxide Salty Ocean gewischt habe. Später habe ich dann mit Stanzen von Impression Obsession und Charlie und Paulchen noch drei Möwen aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auf den Himmel geklebt. 

Auf dem Himmel und noch hinter der Strandtasche befinden sich eine Lage Wellen aus hellblauem Cardstock und eine Lage Sand. Da man diese hintere Lage Sand kaum sieht, habe ich einfach das Stück, das beim Stanzen der anderen beiden Sandlagen übrig blieb verwendet. Die Sandlagen sind mit den  Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders von LawnFawn aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie mit Distress Oxide Scorched Timber gewischt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe sowie Distress Ink Vintage Photo aufgespritzt.

The background is simply made from a piece of light blue cardstock, that I inked from the bottom up with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean. Later I die cut some seagulls by Impression Obsession and Charlie und Paulchen from black cardstock and glued them onto the sky.

On the sky, and behind the beach bag, I added a layer of waves, cut from very light blue cardstock, and a layer of sand. Since this sand layer is barely visible I simply used the left over edge of one of the  sand layers. I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders dies by LawnFawn to cut the sand from light brown cardstock. Then I shaded it with Distress Oxide Scorched Timber and splattered white acrylic paint and Distress Ink Vintage Photo onto the cardstock.

 

 Diese Art von Strandtaschen kenne ich noch aus meiner Kindheit/Jugend - und momentan sind sie wieder total angesagt. Ich kann ich nicht erinnern, dass sie damals einen bestimmten Namen gehabt hätten, jetzt sind es "jelly totes". Ich habe die Tasche aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt. Und so, wie ich es früher hatte, habe ich etwas Designpapier als "Stoff" in die Tasche geklebt. So konnte nichts herausfallen und es konnte auch nicht gleich jeder sehen, was sich in der Tasche befindet. 

Dekoriert habe ich die Tasche, wie schon die als richtige Taschen gewerkelten von vor ein paar Wochen, mit dem Sonnenhut und einem Drink aus dem Woodland Critter Huggers Set von LawnFawn. Aus dem Designpapier, mit dem ich schon die Tasche hinterlegt habe, habe ich auch den Stoff am Hut sowie ein Halstuch gestanzt, das ich hier an den Griff geklebt habe. Alle anderen Teile sind aus weißem Cardstock und mit Copics schattiert. 

Um die Tasche herum habe ich zusätzlich noch eine der Happy Crabs sowie einen Seestern und eine Muschel aus dem Seashells Set von WaffleFlower sowie eine Sonnenbrille angebracht. Die Gläser der Sonnenbrille habe ich aus schwarzem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt, so dass sie schön glänzt.

 

I remember this type of beach bags from back when I was a kid/teen - and they are really in right now again. I don't remember those bags having a special name back then, now they are called "jelly totes". I die cut the bag from dark blue cardstock and, just like I had it as a kid, glued a piece of patterned paper as fabric inside the bag. This way nothing could fall out and also it wasn't as obvious what's inside the bag. 

I decorated the bag just like I did the "real" bags some time ago, with a hat and a drink from Woodland Critter Huggers by LawnFawn. From the same patterned paper, that I used inside the bag, I die cut the band on the hat and a hankerchief, that I adhered to the handle here. All the other elements I cut from white cardstock and colored them with Copics.

Around the bag I added one of the Happy Crabs and a starfish and shell from Seashells by WaffleFlwoer and some sun glasses. I cut the actual glass in the sun glasses from black mirror cardstock to make them nice  and shiny.

 

 Unten habe ich quer über die Karte meinen Text angebracht. 

Dafür habe ich ein "meet me at the" weiß auf braune Cardstockstücke embosst und dafür Stempel aus den Sets Christmas Before 'n Afters und Birthday Before 'n After von LawnFawn kombiniert.

Die Buchstaben für das Wort Beach habe ich wieder aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Hier auf dem Bild sehen sie fast schcwarz aus, es ist aber ein ganz dunkles Blau. Die Alphabet-Stanzen, die ich benutzt habe, sind noch von Whiff of Joy... 

Hinter dem Wort Beach habe ich dann noch eine weitere Muschel in den Sand gesteckt.

 

At the bottom I glued the text across the card.

I white heat embossed a "meet me at the" onto brown cardstock and used stamps from Christmas Before 'n Afters and Birthday Before 'n After  by LawnFawn.

The letters for the word beach I cut from dark  blue cardstock and shaded them with Copics. They look almost black on the picture, but in real life they are a very dark blue. The alphabet die set I used here is a very old one by Whiff of Joy.

Behind the word Beach I stuck another seashell into the sand.

 

 Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich die Elemente entweder flach hinter oder dann flach auf die Tasche geklebt, da sie sonst einfach zu hoch geworden wäre. Allein durch die Höhe der Tasche musste ich drei Lagen 3D Tape aufeiannderkleben, um die Sandlagen unten auf dem Hintergrund ankleben zu können.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I glued the elements either flat behind or flat on top of the bag. The whole card would have become way too bulky if using any foam tape in between the layers. Just with the thickness of the bag I had to stack three layers of foam tape to be able to adhere the sand layers to the background.

As the last step I attached the card panel to a white card base.
