Loving the yellow

I consulted with my hubby for what colour to do the car this time.  He suggested yellow, I must admit I was a bit skeptical - but do you know what I absolutely love it <3

I've coloured the image with Copics and a black polychromos pencil.  The birthday sentiment you can see here is from Make It Crafty.

Here's our sketch for this week.

I've used a selection of design papers from a Glitz Paper Pack called Cashmere Dame.  I've used some design paper instead of the lace on the sketch :)

No embellishments for this week!  I don't always use them ;)

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge.

The image has been coloured with Copics a while gel pen and a black liner pen.

I've layered black card with design papers from First Edition and Glitz paper.  I've offset quite a few, just to be different :)

The image has been finished off with one wood chip sentiment coloured with black Copic from Scrapiniec.

Adventure

I'm sharing a little inspiration with you today using Bryan's Baby.  This is only the second time I've coloured it.  You can get 10% off any of my images by quoting code SKIANDREA10 at checkout on Etsy.
I've used Copics to colour the image.  The background was created using a stencil Faye gave me as part of a recent colouring class.  I still need to improve the technique she showed us by the effect is fantastic and I love it.  You can find Faye's classes on here blog here

I've used Kraft card for my background, on top of that some design paper from Docrafts.  The birds were doodled on after I thought they added a nice touch to the sky.
The sentiment stickers are Tim Holtz ones.

Thanks for taking a look today.

Taking Pics

This image was released last week - I think (I've had a lot on recently and I'm having a bit of a time blur LOL!)

I sell this image with and without the little scene in the camera.  That way if you want to have a go at putting something into the lens you can.  This one with the tree I've just sketched in with my Copics.  When I was taking the close up photo I had the weird sensation of being drawn into the centre of the camera image (so I think I may have finally got something right with my art ha ha!)

I've coloured the image with Copics and also sketched in a background scene.  I've coloured that in lighter colours to make the image stand out more.

A couple of doodled birds finish off the scene.  I've then framed the image with black card.  Added some bright green design paper from Lemoncraft.  The final addition to add some depth I've added a wood chip embellishments which a I got at Scrap and Craft.

Hope you like my inspiration with my new image

Gamer Dude

I come form a family of gamers and if I wasn't spending so much time crafting I'd probable be doing it too :)

I've coloured the image with Copics, leaving it large to showcase the image and I wanted to do a CAS card seen as its a guys card.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing, the design paper is from My Mind's Eye and I've finished it off with a few white dots for interest.

Surfs Up

For the second half of the All Dressed Up inspiration for Wendy's new release images I've got to play with Surfs Up

The image was coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  Originally I coloured some water in the background, then changes my mind because I wanted to do the shark surfing the waves.  So I ended up fussy cutting him.

The design papers are from Studio Light and I've also used some plain red card.  I've used a Spellbinders die to cut the waves and then distressed them so they stand our more.

The sentiment is from two different word sets from Scrapienic.  I've doodles a few seagulls into the background.

And added a fish from Little B 3D Stickers (I found these in Hobbycraft)

Check out the Facebook group and the main challenge blog for the rest of the Dressy Girls inspirations today

A Little Steam Power

Yes I have finally drawn another boys image :D
I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I struggled a bit to do a quick colouring in these mediums.  I'm used to doing steam trains in water colour paint.  I sold a few paintings of them when I was in my 20's :)

The image has been framed with black card and I've added a Happy Birthday sentiment in deco art script from Scrapienic.  The sentiment was also coloured with ProMarkers.

Hope you like my boys card inspiration

Mum There's a Shark in the Bath!

Kids once they're into something new they want to do it all the time.  This is what I image the boy from my new image Jaws is doing.  He's learning how to snorkel so he wants to practice in the bath.  AND then there's their imagination ;)

This new image come in two forms one with the bathroom background and one without so you can use his as a beach / summer scene as well.

I've made a single layer CAS card to showcase the image for you.  It's been coloured with ProMarkers and poychromos pencil because I wanted to get the much paler washed out shades I can achieve with ProMarkers.

All I've done is a little simple doodling and hand written JAWZ 4 in the bottom right - because there are four shark fins :D

Hope you love my new image and we see you at either my SheepSki Designs Facebook Group or on my new SheepSki Designs Challenge blog.

Drawing Mine Craft

Today is the second time of the month when I'm honoured to be a Guest Designer at the Crazy Challenge - their theme for the next two weeks is LEAFY GREEN.

We had to use green leaves in our projects.  Now I could have gone down the normal route of doing something girly and flowery BUT my brother's birthday is coming up (tomorrow in fact).

I decided I'd draw something appropriate for him.  He's a BIG gamer and one of the most poplar games is Mine Craft.  If you've never seen the game (a lot of you will) you build environments / people / animals etc. using what look like lego blocks.

I took me forever to draw the tree using a grid to help me create the blocks.  Once drawn I coloured it in a combination of ProMarkers, Copics and black polychromos pencil.
The two sentiments are wood chip elements from Scrapiniec that I've coloured with black marker.  I've doodled a border around the edge of the image then mounted it onto some Kraft and black card for a frame.

Can't wait to see what he thinks of it :D

Think of a Film or a Song

Yeah well I wasn't actually aware I was thinking of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I started drawing this image Bryan's Baby which you can now find in my shop - click here :)

I started out drawing our friends Morgan, then I started to change the shape slightly as I went along.  It's ended up Steampunk style with wings LOL!

You can get this image and any of my others with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout on Etsy
I've used Copics and polychromos pencils to colour the image.  I've done it red on the recommendation of my hubby.  I wasn't sure it would work but I LOVE how its come out.
I had to do a CAS card to showcase the image for you.  I've framed it with black card and doodled a border.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.

Hope you love my inspiration with my new image.

Book of Little Monsters

Ok so that may seem backwards way round when you read it, but when you see my image it actually makes sense.

It's a Book of Little Monsters rather than a Little Book of Monsters.  My monsters are alive and coming out of the book, they cute and miniature :D

I've coloured up both versions of the image here so you can see what it looks like for some inspiration.  I'm only entering the first card into the challenges though :)

Coloured with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils I've tried to give the book an aged look.

The design papers for this card are from Studio Light.  I've also used some black and red card to break up the papers.

The edges of the image have been distressed, with with a Tonic solutions tool and with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Around the edges I've then doodles a border with pen.

To finish off I've added a sentiment from Scrapienic coloured with black Copic and then a few silver star charms for magic!

Here's the version with the boy.

Once I'd finished himI got out my Sizzix die letters to cut the work surprise into the card.  I've then mounted it onto some red card so the words pop and keeping in the the colour of the book.

The design paper is again from Studio Light.

I've again used the same inks to distress and doodled a border.  A few rhine stones and star charms finishing off the card for magic.

Hope you love my new image
