Snowball Fight

The new challenge at the ABC Challenge today is N for Noel.  We're sponsored this time by Magnolia-liscious

I've used in The Snow Ski Tilda stamp for my inspiration.  I had a little whoops when I stamped the image - you might be able to spot it if you look closely ;)

Tilda has been coloured with ProMarkers and then the edges distressed.  I've also used some antique linen distress ink from Tim Holtz.
The design papers are from Maja Design, all hand cut and some distressed.  I've used three dies for this card from.  The tree one is from Marianne Design Creatables, the ice one from Joy Crafts.  The tiny snowflakes are from a Spellbinders label and are left overs.

On the edges of the trees I've used some Milled Lavender ink from Tim Hotlz.

The icicles and snowflakes as well as around the snow at Tilda's feet have had some DecoArt loose glitter added to give some sparkle.

The snow was one using Snowtex.  There are some white pearl gems, some pompom trim and a piece of lace to complete the card.  I think that's everything :D

Love to see you at the challenge

G for Grand

Start of another month! Another challenge at The ABC Chsllenge we've reached G and this month our theme is Grand.  We'd like to see anything but a card.

Our sponsor for the next couple of weeks is Magnolia-liscious.  I was very undecided for a while what to make for my inspiration this time, in the end I've gone for a tag.
I've used Tilda with a little present coloured with Copics and ProMarkers. I wanted a distressed background. To achieve this I've used inks from Tim Holtz.  Antique linen, vintage photo and spun sugar.

Before mounting the image into the tag I've used some embossing enamel.

At the bottom of the tag is a piece of cotton lace.  I then added the pink and white flowers from Hobbycraft.  The fabric fibres are various different ribbons and embroidery thread.

Looking forward to seeing your grand creations Andrea x

A is for Animals

AND we're back to the beginning of the alphabet at the ABC Challenge today :D

This time we'd like to see animals on your cards and our sponsors are Magnolia-licious and Marianne Design.
I've used Tilda with a seahorse for my inspiration, coloured with ProMarkers then fussy cut.

The background was created using acrylic paints and a mini ink foam blending tool.  I've also used a Dutch Doobadoo stencil and some interference paints.  Added to this is some crafting gauze with some wedding accessories to create foliage under the sea.

There are some sliver fish beads, Tim Holtz gears and a resin shell to finish off.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Thank Ewe

1st of the month and you know what that means people - we have a new challenge U is for Unlimited at the ABC Challenge sponsored by Magnolia-licious.  This mean it's an anything goes challenge :D

For my inspiration for you today I've done something a little different.  Usually when we think of magnolia Tilda comes to mind.  I've used three different Magnolia stamps to create this.

The stamps are Tilda's Sheep, Three Flowers and Tilda's Butterflies.  The image has been created using Copics.
I've got a close up of the sheep here.  the background of this is Copic with a sage polychromos pencil for the clumps of tufty grass.

As I was creating a scene I've also drawn in some fluffy clouds.
The whole scene has been mounted onto some black card stock before taping it to the white card.

The thank ewe sentiment was computer generated, cut out with a Spellbinders die, edged with purple and some black self adhesive gems added.

Hope you like my CAS card and we look forward to seeing in the challenge

M is for Magnolia

We're having a Magnolia challenge over at The ABC Challenge for the next couple of weeks.  You can use anything Magnolia in your creations!

The stamp I've used here is Tilda with a Bundle.  I've coloured it using Copics.  She's been cut out by drawing the interior of a Spellbinders die and hand cutting.  Once I'd done this I some pink paper with the actual Spellbiners die and edges it with pink Copic.

Papers are from Lili of the Valley and Craft Creations.  I've cut two lots of banners in pink and blue using a La La Land die then mounted one over the other.

The sentiment is computer generated then cut out with a Spellbinders die and edged with ProMarkers.  The final touch is some pearlised self adhesive gems.

We'd love to see your Magnolia creations over at The ABC Challenge

Bunny time

The new ABC Challenge starts today with F is for Festive sponsored by Magnolia-licious.

I chose to do an Easter card as it's not far off now.  Easter always make me think of spring when all the flowers are starting to come out so I've added cascading flowers to my card.  These were in two shades from Hobby House floral embellishments.

The image I've used is Bunny Tilda, she's in a sitting position so I decided to sketch in a giant egg for her to sit on.

I've coloured her in ProMarkers in light subtle shades to keep the card girly.  Shading has ben done with a black polychromos pencil.  Around the edge of the image I've used some Stampendous shabby white embossing enamel.  The image has then been mounted onto some plain black card stock to frame her.

This being a bunny/Easer card I decided Tilda needed a cute bunny sitting at the base of her egg.  So I decided to sketch my own then coloured and fussy cut it before mounting it onto the card.  Here's a close up if Tilda with her bunny.

The design papers are from Wild Rose Studio - Antique Library and Santoro Gorjuss - Neutrals.  I've added a sentiment from Lili of the Valley (coloured with prink ProMarker) some tiny brass butterflies and pink self adhesive gems.

OK it's over to you now to show us your festive cards - these can be Birthday/Easter/Christmas for example.

Happy crafting

Embellishing in white

I recently bought some Magnolia stamps, this one Tilda with a small present is the first one I've used. I used subtle colours because I wanted her to be mostly white.  I used ProMarkers to do this.  The image is cut using a Spellbinders die.

The papers are from Lili of the Valley and Raspberry Road Designs - Timeless Victorian and Lili of the Valley and NitWit Collections - Solids - Always and Forever.

Apart from some golden self adhesive gems all the other embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Flowers and leaf, lace, small organza rose trim and flat backed pearl string.  Most of the  embellishments are white.

I'm entering her into the following challenges
Ribbon Girl - colour challenge White
Addicted to Stamps - Anything Goes

All that's left to do is to load her up
Happy Crafting
