Your Choice?

Found this at FB.
I will never get 10 million in cash but I do not regret anything, do you?

5 years ago or such a bulky man entered my Brother´s shop - we look very much alike, my Brother and I.
The man started to smile, knew my name - I hid behind my now taller Brother and asked, "who is this????" - "Pjotr..."

Uh-oh... pay-back-day?

I once and only once in my life hurt someone  physically badly - it was him.
Dad´d told me what to do if this neighborhood boy gets at me again (Dad had no idea I was wearing skates).
Pjotr went to hurt my little Brother - I went up a stair, so I was equally "tall", called him over and BOOM, with all force hit him on his leg (with the skate on) - he went down with a yell and never ever bothered any of us again.

Bonus: He learned that small people find ways to defend themselves (I was 7, I guess).
This was no mistake, if "wrong". I think I taught him a lesson he was thankful for.

The professor I showed off after he made a fellow pupil cry (I didn´t even like her, but make somebody cry I get mad)... he gave me such a bad grade for that I never made it into architecture (I got my diploma, though!). I do not regret that, either.
I would not change a thing!

Left a man who betrayed me. Quit a rich female friend who just called when I was needed.

Hey, I kinda want that 10 million cash!!!!

Which door would you chose?

I did make mistakes (many more than mentioned), yes.
But they led me to the life I have now and I love it (mostly).

I think without making mistakes we cannot grow.
Mistakes belong to development.

As a side note... the main door of our house is red (I still wait for the money!).

You?

Henry 🦁 sends Granpa....

I would not know him if my life took another turn... I would not have the people in my life I have and am thankful for.
Sure, breaking my arm or my foot, that was dumb. Would I care to use the blue door to avoid this? The trainee-doctors were so nice, so different. It hurt badly, yet they managed to make me smile!
It gave me the opportunity (1994) to see the real bad. Cancer-patients, people with AIDS.
I saw I am still lucky... Lesson learned.

Red door, please! Oh, wait, I just need to get out of our condo!
Here it is:

Money, please. I´ll invite ya all for a pizza! Let´s grow from our "wrongs"...

I did get things wrong. It's not that I suffer from that realization on a daily basis, but it would be nice to fix those things. On the other hand, with that much money, I could do a lot of good things. So: I don't know, I think I'd flip a coin.

As said, I invite you to a biiiig pizza. As in help others with the money. But I would not take the blue door....

I'd choose the red door, as fixing things I did wrong would of course make my consciense clear, but my life is also formed by a million mistakes made by me and by other people - so if everybody agred to choose the blue door, then maybe ... but then again, some other peoples' mistakes being fixed might harm someone I love or me ... or make it so that we were not even born.
At least with a million dollars I could fix some of the bad things that are consequenses of my mistakes and help a few other persons and me and my family carve out a better life here and now. Well unless everybody else go through the red door and get a million as well - inflation would see to none of us profiting. This is uferlos!

Thank you! You speak to my heart! uferlos, so yes, "LOL". To mistakes and the lives we lived so far! To be honest I thought the blue one would be the choice for most but then thought... nah.
Where is our money??? 😉

I'd go for the cash because life would be really boring without mistakes, and I don't feel like I've made any sooooo terrible that it really hurt anyone else. I might change a few things in life if I could go back, but not mistakes. But only if I could know what I know now. And I'll never get that much money either, but that's OK because there's more to life than money. Have a great rest of your Day Iris. hugs-Erika

Great choice!

Erika, so yes to all of that! No to a boring life and I have enough money so I can sometimes treat others or myself even! To a great day, hugs!

I so agree.

Thank you.

I once painted my front door red, didn't get the money though. I'm with everyone who says mistakes are part of life! So blue door no thanks! I come in the back door.

Still waiting for the money, too ;-) Back door sounds good as well!

I'd go for the red door. I've made mistakes but no real huge ones. The money would help a lot of people that I know.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes to that!

Mistakes already been handled and lessons learned. Red door, please.

I would choose the red door and share the money with my family. Going back to fix mistakes might alter the future, and maybe my son J would not meet S and then the twins would never get born. More drastically, maybe my grandchildren would never get born. Every mistake along the way has led to the life I now have and I wouldn't want to change that.

To pizza/money then! ;-)

So true - I am happy to read that in this community no one chose the blue door! We always learn and share, this is nice!
