This is Elizete Cardoso and Moacyr Silva "Sax Voz" (1960), for Copacabana, featuring 14 tracks with Elizete performing with Moacyr on the vocal tracks and Moacyr Silva and his Conjunto performing instrumental renditions of American standards on seven tracks. Moacyr Silva brought a constellation of Brazilian musicians in this session, including his favorite pianist Chaim Lewak, Jorge Marinho, Aurino, Julinho, Waltel Branco, among many others. This is one of those albums were nothing goes wrong, especially if you are a fan of Elizete Cardoso or Moacyr Silva. For those who are members of both fan clubs this album is real treat. What can go wrong with a record that brings together the voice of one of the greatest Brazilian divas and the awesome Moacyr Silva tenor sax? "Sax Voz" has a continuation titled "Sax Voz Nr. 2", released in 1961 for the same Copacabana label.
