Lilah Silver is a mess. She drinks too much, she smokes too much, and the less is said about her personal life the better. But despite Silver's flaws she has managed to carve out a career as a successful bounty hunter, and while she would like to think that her successes are solely because she has incredible intuition, the fact that she’s a werewolf doesn’t hurt.
Silver has been a werewolf for as long as she can remember.[5] She claims to have her Lycanthropy under control,[6] but the transformation can trigger by itself during the ritual.[7][8]
As a bounty hunter, Silver has brought Vyper into custody on several occasions and is after a bounty on The Troubadour.[9][10]
Silver is currently renting a place in New York.[4][11] Silver's accent implies she's originally from somewhere further south in America.
Silver has an unnamed ex-partner who accused her of pushing people away.[12]
Silver hates her life and is aware of her self-destructive tendencies.[16][17][18] She's often snarky towards her allies,[19][20] and is paranoid that they might steal her bounties.[21][22]
While Silver doesn't love being a bounty hunter, she believes she isn't good at anything else and would end up homeless if she didn't do a job that paid well.[23][24] Silver tries to take bounties in alive, although her methods usually end up killing them.[25] Silver's bounty hunting methods are also implied to never be subtle.[26][27] Even though she usually kills her targets, Silver doesn't want to take up a career as an assassin.[28]
Silver has a habit of spending all of her money on rent or alcohol.[11] She likes to drink whiskey, which makes her hair smell like Bourbon according to Rem.[29][30] She intends to go to a bar after the ritual.[31][32]
Silver implies that she used to be a lot more violent.[33]
Silver is a skinny white woman with a long blonde "wolf cut" haircut and tall gray wolf ears poking out, amber eyes, and big claw scars in her face and chest. She has a blonde wolf tail, and her left hand is black and furry. She wears an orange jacket over a low cut gray shirt, blue jeans, black belt, and brown boots with fur. Her clothes are dirty and ragged. She has a dog-like collar with a broken pendant in the shape of a crescent moon, and carries handcuffs, shotgun shells and wolf paws in her belt. Her weapon is a lever-action shotgun.
When transformed, Silver becomes a tall, muscular, androgynous wolf monster with gray and black fur, a long blonde mane, bigger tail, large 4-fingered hands with claws, and digitigrade feet with 3 toes. Her clothes are ripped, her jacket becomes an open vest and her pants become shorts.
The name of Silver's weapon, Hair of the Dog, is a shortening of the expressionHair of the Dog that Bit You, referring to alcohol consumed to lessen the effect of a hangover.
Silver loathes Shiv with a passion and refuses to believe he could change from his criminal past.[34][35] She believes he deserves a fate worse than death.[36]
An unfinished conversation with Grey Talon hints at Silver in disbelief that Grey Talon would support Shiv.[37]
How Silver and Shiv met each other and why Silver hates Shiv is currently unknown.
Silver offers to talk with Holliday about Holliday's self-destructive tendancies, as Silver claims to be an "expert".[49] She also tries to relate with Holliday as a fellow "trainwreck", although Holliday pushes her away.[50]
