"...Juan Rodó originalmente no era el titular, sino que el conde iba a ser Diego San Clemente, un cantante lírico, que según muchos de los que lo vieron en el papel, era perfecto, desde todo punto de vista: la actuación, la voz, y hasta el físico… Era mayor que Rodó (que solo tenía 26 años) y con una presencia escénica impactante. Pero parece ser que su ego era igual de grande y chocó con el de Cibrián, y 15 dias antes, quedo afuera del proyecto, asumiendo Juan Rodó (que era Jonathan), su papel, y en lugar de éste, su reemplazo: Martin O’Connor.
La obra original, fue recortada por Cibrián casi en media hora. Hubiera incluído caballos que entraban, puentes que descendían, la famosa escena del Manicomio de Whitby, y el ballet de las mascotas, entre otros. Muchas de ellas devueltas a la obra después de 20 años en su puesta del 2011 del teatro Astral..." nos cuenta nuestro amigo CRISTIAN.
