Out Of This World (1987)

Out of This World is a sitcom about a teenage girl who is half alien, which gives her unique superhuman powers. It first aired in syndication from September 17, 1987 and ended on May 25, 1991.  The images and the spacesuit are from the opening titles.

The same helmet is also featured in the 1987 Twilight Zone tv show and the 1994 Fantastic Four film

The Twilight Zone - Voices in the Earth (1987)

Voices in the Earth is the 19th episode of the second season of the rebooted Twilight Zone anthology sci-fi series.
In the far future an expedition returns to a desolate barren Earth where a scientist begins to see the ghosts of those who died years before.

These are indeed the same suits that can be seen in - (if you were ever unlucky enough to catch it!) - the 1994 Roger Corman version of Marvel's Fantastic Four film from back in a time before people realised that if you were respectful to the source material then you could have a big hit on your hands (Snigger! Yes I'm laughing at you 2015 version)
As a point of interest this episode also features the lovely Jenny Agutter who's semi and completely nude scenes, viewed at an impressionable age, in Walkabout, Logan's Run, Equus and An American Werewolf in London, launched more fantasies than all the spacesuits featured in this blog
...... Just saying.

Fantastic 4 (2015)

I'm not sure about this, but then I wasn't sure about any of the other versions of the FF on celluloid either. In fact, I'm not sure how I feel about the concept as a comic.  As a kid I loved guest appearances of The Human Torch in Spider-man comics and I adored Marvel Two-in-One featuring The Thing, but the Fantastic Four as a family superhero team felt old fashioned even way back when I was in short trousers!  So I'm probably not going to bother to go and see it but I promise to watch it on TV when they stick it on in a couple of years.
In the mean time here are some very nice looking spacesuits (Dimensionsuits?) which do have it going on however I feel about the movie they are featured in.

I'm sure one of you out there will go and give it a look so be sure to come back here and let me know if I'm missing a treat or not.

And as an aside, while having nothing to do with spacemen, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD_k5Y1cpsY is what I'm really looking forwarded to.

Fantastic Four (1994)

Roger Corman's unreleased super hero movie based on the Marvel Comics characters.  It's part stinker and part valiant attempt.  Ultimately its a big old fail but then I'd argue that the two later versions don't quite hit the spot either.  We'll probably get a reboot sometime soon but until then let us feast upon four fantastic shiny space suits... that look a lot like fire safety outfits to me.
