Love, Death & Robots. Series 1 episode 11 - Helping Hand (2019)

Animated short in which a stranded astronaut must make some very tough decisions in order to survive. The episode was written by Claudine Griggs and based on the short story by Philip Gelatt.  The animation is of a very high, almost realistic style for this particular story but I would recommend the series as a whole for a variety of stories and styles.

Love (2011)

Just watched this for the first time today and have to say that I really liked it.  It's not going to be everybody's cup of tea but for those of us that grew up watching 2001 and Silent Running, it's a reassuringly slow and thoughtful piece of sci-fi that will stay with you as you try to make sense of it all.  For the record I agree with every quote on the poster above.
