On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

Musick that Needed Work - S: Susan Cadogan

Susan Cadogan is a Jamaican reggae / lovers rock singer who I have shared four times in the past: Hurts So Good 7“ (#1 UK reggae charts - #4 UK singles charts) & Hurts So Good bonus tracks as well as two Mad Prof joints: One Mad Professor showcase &  the Mad Professor produced Soulful Reggae during the Fems of Feb.

Check out any of those if you're not familiar, or this double has plenty to offere right now.

The Girl who Cried CD1 was a 2016 project started in collaboration with Canadian producer Mitch Girio. Throughout the process, there was only telephone contact between Susan & Mitch. He made the backing tracks in Canada, Susan recorded the vocals in Jamaica, overdubbing was done in Germany, & the final mixing took place in Canada.

Chemistry of Love CD2 was a JA only release. It was issued in very limited quantities, on the Mint label. It was produced by veterans Bubbler Waul & Noel Hearne, backed by accomplished musicians such as Sly Dunbar, Danny Browne, Robby Lyn, Scully, along with various members of Chalice.

 The Fems of Feb.

On an old Skin Flesh & Blood post I added all the 2003 bonus tracks from Susan Cadogan's Hurts So Good Trojan Records original 1975 release.

Some sweet reggae sounds from Ms. Cadogan.

Here I've added the bonus tracks from the Japanese version of Soulful Reggae.

In Cold Blood

I'm knee deep in it right now. Three genos of Kush & the Green Krack chopped so far. Three genos of Tomorrowland & Steve'a Sativa still to go. First time trying Aphrodite's Extraction, Flawless Finish, & Boveda 62%. So far, extremely excellent results. The terpenes are through the roof & the drying is much more controlled. Best ever. This has to be short but guaranteed sweet.

Back on March 19, 2015 I posted an entry called Essential. It was a dub mix of Essential tuneage for a Thursday to usher in the weekend. In a reply to a commenter I mentioned two Essential discs from Skin, Flesh, & Bones: Fighting Dub produced by Lloyd "Spiderman" Campbell; & Dub in Blood produced by Phil Pratt recorded at Channel One Recording Studio.

On April 26, I posted Fighting Dub as a birthday tribute to Brother Ib. I never seem to have got around to Dub in Blood, which leads full circle back to the beginning ala Finnegans Wake. Dub in Blood is IMO one of the most Essential & yet under-rated albums in Dub. Give it a deep listen for the REAL sound of Dub. I promised sweet...from the very first moments of "Dub in Blood" to the final fantastic surprise ending.  Jah Jah Jah Jah Jah RasTafari-i-i-i-i.
