Halloween also known is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers.

The Sexy Side Of UK Horror - The Vampire Lovers (1970)
In the 1950s and 60s the UK film studio, Hammer Film Productions, made a name for itself by making modern (for the time) remakes classic movies like "Dracula", "Frankenstein " and "The Mummy" along with numerous sequels, dinosaur films and an occasional sci fi epic.
These films turned both Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing into international icons.
As the decades passed, the market for campy horror began to fade and the studio found itself making their films racier and racier in an attempt to keep up with the times and lure more people into movie theater seats. These more erotic takes on classic horror themes, proved initially profitable, but ultimately lead to the studios demise. Seems that movie goers of the time preferred a good fright to naked women.

In 2009 Marcus Hearn cast a spotlight on the unsung heroines of these now iconic horror films in his book, "Hammer Glamour."
The cover of the book features a rather titular photograph of on of the most infamous of these UK scream queens, Madeline Smith, who's most iconic role was as lesbian blood sucker (yes, I said 'blood sucker') in the 1970 film, "The Vampire Lovers."
Tim Masters of the BBC caught up with Smith and interviewed her about time in from of the camera for Hammer.
Here are some excerpts from that interview:
That's a striking front cover photograph - what do you remember about it?
What I remember is hating that dress. I thought, 'I can't wear that - what on earth am I going to wear under it?'
I have no idea where we were, on a set or a commercial, it certainly wasn't a Hammer film. I remember being photographed in that, and I remember pulling these terrible expressions.
I used to get rung up from time to time by these photographers. Mostly they came along and took photographs of me on my bed in my bedroom.
What's your earliest memory of Hammer?
Taste the Blood of Dracula - wonderful - we made it in 1969. For that one I did audition, and was beyond joy to get the part.
I had secretly yearned to be in one of these horror films, but because I was so innocent, gormless and untried in every sense I had no idea what a bordello scene was, or why I was in that extraordinary little outfit... but I knew how to pull gormless faces.
Shortly after, I was given the part in The Vampire Lovers.
The Vampire Lovers was a much more adult direction for Hammer in 1970...
I have to remind you of my previous remark about being completely gormless and innocent - we've only moved on about three months.
I got a very worried phone call from the producer who said he was concerned about my lack of bosom. He said 'we like you a lot, but we don't think you are voluptuous enough'.
I reassured him, and then I scuttled off to Hornby and Clarke dairy round the corner and I bought every yogurt I could find and stuffed myself like you might fatten cattle, and it worked!
As you see [motions to book cover], need I say more?
Looking back at films like The Vampire Lovers, do you feel you were exploited?
I was a very willing exploitee - I didn't mind at all. My main point of existence is to make people laugh and I was able to use those bosoms later for comedy, I was the foil in a lot of comedy shows and sketches and I have absolutely no regret about being 'sexploited'.
Others I know take against it. I didn't mind looking womanly, that's not ever been concern of mine - but it is for others, and good for them.
Did you get much fan reaction when the films came out?
There was no great marketing machine or PR in those days. You did your photo session, but there were no videos or DVDs in those days. Your fan base was actually very small.
A lot of these films crept out with no premiere and because Hammer was very, very, very low budget there were no first nights. It's really TV that's brought about my fan base. It's wonderful - I'm ancient now and I've got far more fans and far more mail than I ever had.
The Vampire Lovers ... Did You Know?
In Styria, Austria, General von Spielsdorf gives a party and a countess explains to him that she needs to travel immediately to visit a relative that is ill. She leaves her daughter Marcilla under the care of the General. Marcilla befriends his daughter Laura and then the teenager has nightmares, where she is attacked by a dreadful creature. The doctor finds that Laura is anemic and soon she dies. Marcilla leaves the house and the countess fakes a carriage accident to leave Marcilla, now known as Carmilla, with the wealthy Mr. Roger Morton. Camilla befriends Emma Morton and soon she starts having nightmares. Her governess Madame Perrodot is seduced by Carmilla and helps her to be close to Emma. Mr. Morton travels and the butler Renton and the doctor suspect that Madame Perrodot might be a vampire but they do not suspect of Carmilla. Will Emma be saved from Carmilla?
James Carreras rejected a suggestion that Bond girl Shirley Eaton play the lead on the grounds that she was too old. Ingrid Pitt, actually older than Eaton, was eventually cast.
This film was given an R rating by the Motion Picture Association of America due to the vampire bites inflicted on the women's bosoms.
The role of the Man in Black was offered to Christopher Lee but he declined the role and John Forbes-Robertson was cast instead. Forbes-Robertson would also later replace Lee in Hammer's The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974).
While filming, Ingrid Pitt and the girls have a great deal of trouble getting through scenes without giggling. In the scene where Ingrid has to drink from Kate O'Mara, her vampire teeth kept falling out and into Kate's cleavage. She eventually had to steal some gum from one of the stagehands to stick the fangs back in.

Stacey! She's A Very Private Detective!
Stacey is a 1973 exploitation film directed by Andy Sidaris. Half the budget was provided by Roger Corman for his New World Pictures the rest was raised by Sidaris. It was re-released in 1975 as Stacy and Her Gangbusters.
The film features an empowered babe in a masculinized action role. She is "a very private detective" in a crime-fighting film. This was the first attempt of Sidaris to produce a film with a female protagonist facing crime. The film thus serves as a precursor to many 1980s films, including those produced by Sidaris himself. In these films "soft" women adopt "hard" personae. It is also a precursor to 1990s softcore films where gender has little to do with a heroine's career, as by that point women's advance into the workplace was no longer an exploitable hot topic.
The protagonist is Stacey Hanson (Anne Randall), a private eye and race car driver. She is hired by aging heiress Florence Chambers (Marjorie Bennett) to investigate the close members of her family who live in her mansion. Stacey is to determine whether the members of Florence's family are worthy to be included in her will. They are three: Florence's nephew John (John Alderman), his wife Tish (Anitra Ford), and Florence's grand-niece Pamela (Cristina Raines).
As it happens, all three potential heirs have something to hide. John is a discreet homosexual, Tish is having an affair with the houseboy, and Pamela has dubious friends. Stacey uncovers some family secrets but a greater scandal is about to begin. The scheming houseboy Frank (James Westmoreland) is murdered. Stacey now has to find the identity of the murderer before he/she can kill again. Frank was sleeping with and/or blackmailing nearly all members of the family, so everyone is a suspect.
Stacey's investigation leads to a helicopter and car chase and gunplay. The murdered turns out to be Pamela who is a member of a cult reminiscent of the Manson family. She was planning to frame John and stand as the last viable heir to the family fortune. - Wiki

Dynamite Baby, Grindhouse Dynamite!
Written By: Terri Pressley
Grindhouse is an American term for a theater that mainly shows exploitation films. Named after the defunct burlesque theaters located on 42nd Street in New York City where 'bump n' grind' or striptease was featured.
Grindhouse films characteristically contain large amounts of sex, violence or bizarre subject matter. One genre of film featured were "roughies" or sexploitation, a mix of sex, violence and sadism. Quality varied, but low budget production values and poor print quality were common. Critical opinions varied regarding typical grindhouse fare, but many films acquired cult following and critical praise. Double, triple, and "all night" bills on a single admission charge often encouraged patrons to spend a long time in the theater. The environment was faithfully captured at the time by the magazine ‘Sleazoid Express’.
By the 1980s, home video and cable threatened to make grindhouse obsolete. By the end of the decade, these theaters had vanished from Los Angeles's Broadway and Hollywood Boulevard, New York City's Times Square and San Francisco's Market Street. By the mid-1990s, these particular theaters had all but disappeared from the United States and very few are in existence today.
The Robert Rodriguez film, ‘Planet Terror’ and the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Death Proof’, which were released together as Grindhouse, were created as homage to the genre. Similar films such as ‘Machete’ (also by Rodriguez) and ‘Drive Angry’ have appeared since. The video games ‘House of the Dead: Overkill’, ‘Wet and Shadows of the Damned’ serve as homages to grindhouse horror movies. The author Jacques Boyreau released the book ‘Portable Grindhouse: The Lost Art of the VHS Box’ in 2009 about the history of the genre. The genre is also the focus of the 2010 documentary ‘American Grindhouse’ directed and produced by Elijah Drenner. The film made its world premiere at the South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas on March 13, 2010.
Elijah Drenner’s smart, affectionate but clear-eyed history of American exploitation films combines commentary and well-chosen clips from movies that range from 1913s white-slavery “exposé” Traffic in Souls’ to the Nazi sexploitation classic ‘Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS.’
Drenner’s ambitious mandate for American Grindhouse is to simultaneously chart the development of exploitation pictures, which staked out a lucrative niche by gleefully tackling topics deemed too vulgar, shocking or disreputable for the tender sensibilities of middle-class moviegoers, and to situate them within the context of broader social and cultural developments.
Drenner covers the waterfront, from road-show birth-of-a-baby pictures, which staked their claim to educational value on live, post-screening lectures about sexual hygiene, to drug-scare movies like Reefer Madness (1936), to burlesque movies and wholesome nudist-camp “documentaries” which paved the way for ever-more-explicit depictions of onscreen sex. Blaxploitation, juvenile-delinquent dramas, naughty Nazi sexploitation, gross-out gore pictures, biker flicks and mondo movies are also represented. He taps a small but well-chosen cadre of film historians to handle the hard history, from the way Hollywood’s 1930 Production Code—which limited filmmakers by disallowing bad language, interracial relationships, violence and vice (including but not limited to drug abuse and “sex perversion”) to the game changing influence of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, whose success erased the line between high and low culture moviemaking.
Both informative and well made, ‘American Grindhouse’ is an enjoyable stroll down memory lane.

Airline Pulls Playboy Bunnies for Flirty 2014 Flight Attendant Calendar
From Jaunted
Bought your naughty flight attendant calendar for 2014 yet? There are some solid options already, like Ryanair's bikinis and AirBaltic's beauties, but Nok Air's bunnies may take the cake.
Nok, a budget airline based in Bangkok, called up Playboy Thailand and collaborated with the men's publication to choose the "10 Hottest Bunnies" to star alongside Nok's colorful fleet of Boeing 737s (and ATR 72s) for a 2014 calendar. There's no word on the cost of the calendar, but it's safe to assume that passengers may buy them onboard Nok's flights.
This isn't the first time Nok has invited outside ladies to stand in for their actual staff. For their 2013 calendar, Nok partnered up with Maxim to shoot glamor models posing in and around their planes.
Want to see what real Nok flight attendants look like? We flew the budget airline on a brief flight from Bangkok to Phuket and filed a full review and photos.

Farewell to the King of Grindhouse
From B Movie Nation
It’s a truly sad week for cult cinema. Mike Vraney, founder of the era-defining Something Weird Video, died Jan. 2 at the age of 56.
Vraney’s importance in the preservation and celebration of exploitation, grindhouse, drive-in and z-grade movies can not be overestimated.
For music fans, the Pacific Northwest native may be most famous as a cofounder of Seattle’s The Showbox, and later as manager of punk bands including The Dead Kennedys, TSOL, and The Accused. But it was a film fanatic – in the truest and deepest sense of the words – that he made his biggest impact.
As a teenager, he worked in the Bel-Kirk Drive-In in Bellevue, Washington, then became a projectionist at Seattle’s Green Parrot Theater (a notorious 24/7 grindhouse and x-rated theater) and the Apple Theatre.
Then in the early 1990s he started hunting down prints: The obscure, the erotic, the exotic, the sleazy and the scary. It began with a collection of 16mm girlie arcade loops, which he edited together to form one of the company’s first compilation releases. As Vraney told the Chronicle in 2001, “I came up with titles and screened ‘em, thinking, ‘Boy, none of this is on tape, like naked girls just walking around on rocks in 1952.’”
After that first haul, he was lucky enough to get access to the archives of exploitation king Dave Friedman. That was just the beginning, as he unearthed over 2,500 titles. The massive collection he gathered and transferred to video and then digital became the Something Weird archive.
These were films that no-one cared about. Rough, often amateurish, scarcely likely to make it into the Cahiers du Cinema. But to Vraney they were “very pop culture, Americana, adult-oriented but soft, not hardcore, fascinating stuff.” He championed them, and gave them the life they deserved. He kept them on screens.

MONSTER PORN: Amazon Cracks Down On America’s Latest Sex Fantasy
From Business Insider
Author Virginia Wade's fiction debut follows a group of women who embark on a week-long camping trip to Mt. Hood National Forest. There, in the shadow of Oregon’s highest mountain, they are kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a mysterious woodland creature. "What the hell is that thing?" asks one protagonist.
“‘It's f---ing Bigfoot,’ hissed Shelly. ‘He's real, for f---'s sake.’ Horror filled her eyes. ‘With a huge c---.’”
The book, with the decidedly un-PG title "Cum For Bigfoot," is just the first of 16 fiction ebooks that Wade (a pen name) has written about the legendary beast sometimes known as Sasquatch, each detailing a series of graphic and often violent sexual encounters between the apelike creature and his female human lovers. Wade has made an exceptional living writing these stories.
It began in December of 2011. A stay-at-home mother from Parker, Colo., Wade had no ambition to be a published author and no real writing experience other than a few attempts at historical romance in the mid-90s. But then, she says, "I got this crazy idea for a story." So she sat down and wrote the entire book — more of a novella, at just 12,000 words — in a matter of weeks. She never even considered trying to sell it to a mainstream publisher. Instead, she went directly to Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing, an online platform for self-publishing with a 70% royalty rate for authors. (The average royalty percentage for authors with mainstream publishers is between 8 and 15%.)
"Cum For Bigfoot" wasn't an overnight best-seller. "The first month, I think I made $5," Wade admits. But over the course of 2012, the book was downloaded well over 100,000 times. "And that was just Amazon," she says. "That's not counting iTunes or Barnes & Noble or any of the other places that sell self-published books." With no marketing muscle, no bookstore tours or print reviews or any of the publicity that most top authors use to sell books, she started bringing in staggering profits. During her best months, she says, she netted $30,000 or more. At worst, she'd bank around six grand — "nothing to complain about," she says.

A big breasted Japanese girl bouncing around fighting monsters. - The Ancient Dogoo Girl revisited
Written By Ken Hulsey
In thinking about how to write this review, I was really torn on how, exactly, to approach it. On the outset, "The Ancient Dogoo Girl" delivers exactly what was advertised in the promo clip I posted to Youtube, that has been viewed 133,000 times, a big breasted Japanese girl, bouncing around fighting monsters.
Granted, that is the draw of the show, but to my delight, I am happy to report that there is more here than just T&A.
Now, that being said, the folks over at the MBS network know exactly what they have, the very busty 20-year-old Erika Yazawa, running around in a clay bikini, making their male viewers loose their mind, and they don't apologize for it.
They know that people are tuning into their series because of breasts and they go for it, all the way, in the second episode, called "Yōkai: Big Breasts". There is no way to dance around it, its an episode about boobs. The episode starts out with a male teen looking at an adult (non-nude) magazine featuring big-breasted women. One of his male teachers catches him with the magazine, takes it away from him, then runs off to look at it himself.
Needless to say, the monster in the episode is disguised as a busty school teacher who isn't shy about flaunting her cleavage. Oh, and she kills her victims with blades that pop out of her chest.
Pretty much what you would have expected, after seeing the trailer:
Though, I have to give the makers of "The Ancient Dogoo Girl" some credit. They went for the 'boob card' early, and moved on. From that point on, the series more resembles old episodes of "Ultraman" or "Kaimen Rider." Each episode featuring a monster of the week for Yazawa's, Dogu-chan, character to fight.
(More After The Break)
Here is the plot:
By chance, the withdrawn, and socially awkward teenage son of a bumbling archaeologist, named Makoto Sugihara finds a strange breastplate buried in the woods. When he places his palm on the breast plate, its design gets burned into his palm and awakens a girl named Dogu-chan, a hyperactive ykai hunter from the Jomon period. Because he had touched her breastplate, Makoto is now bound to Dogu-chan as she adapts to modern day life, forcing Makoto to go with her as she fights ykai in magic armor along with her animated Dogoo statuette companion Dokigoro while slowly prying Makoto out of his shell, whether he likes it or not.
Here is really where I'm torn. I want to say that "The Ancient Dogoo Girl" is a show aimed at teens, despite all the adult overtones. To be honest, when I was trying to think of a series, outside of Asia, to compare it with, all I could come up with was "The Sarah Jane Adventures" on the BBC.
I know that sounds really weird, but its like you took that show, removed Elizabeth Sladen, and replaced her with a busty woman.
"I know you've got a sonic screwdriver, Doctor, and it really comes in handy with fighting aliens, but I prefer to use these." That's when she opens up her blouse and exposes her cleavage.
A perfect analogy? No, but in my warped mind, that's what I came up with.
The other show that seemed to fit was "Xena Warrior Princess". The show seems to share the same campy flare, and though it features a lot a sexy women in tight leather, there is a very interesting story there.

That really is the point, once you get past the cleavage, you begin to understand that "The Ancient Dogoo Girl", really is a lampoon of Japanese society that even takes time to make fun of itself from time to time.
For anyone who has spent a lot of time watching Japanese cinema, and television, this becomes very evident from the start. For anyone who hasn't, the series would undoubtedly come off as a silly nonsensical affair.
Japanese pop-culture has been full of big-breasted heroines for decades. Just look at "Cutie Honey" for example. Manga, Anime, movies and TV shows, have been a haven for such 'boob worship', especially of late. "Dogoo Girl", in many ways, parodies many of these past icons.
In fact, Dogu-chan, is in many ways a direct spoof of "Cutie Honey."
She is vey sexy, but she is completely oblivious to it, like Honey. Though unlike her, Dogu-chan does notice the guys gawking at her. Her reply, "What?.....these?......they are for feeding young children.....what is the big deal?"
I honestly believe that while watching this series, I began to actually over-think things. I was left with thoughts of just to whom the show was marketed. It is so obviously a show for young adults, most of the main characters are in High School. A lot of the action revolves around the school, and many of the themes relate to teenage life and feelings.
But, the show centers around a 10,000 year old girl who uses her breasts to fight monsters?
Is this sort of thing okay in Japan? I certainly wouldn't let my fifteen year old watch it. Would a parent in Japan let theirs?
So many questions, I guess that I'm really trying to over-think this way too much.
As is the case in many Japanese movies, or series, the shows male lead, the shy Makoto Sugihara, played by Masataka Kubota, is ultimately terrified by Dogu-chan's sexuality. Ultimately preferring the company of fellow school-mate Kimika Shishido (Rina Kirishima), who is the exact opposite of the busty hero. Preferring brains to boobs, if you will.
This, of course, leads to a love triangle as the series goes forward. Dogu-chan, initially views Makoto as a servant, but discovers that she has feelings for him as he focuses his attention towards Kimika.
Nothing like a jealous super-hero, though the two young ladies butt heads, they ultimately come together to save Makoto from a pair of gothic cannibal girls.
As a hero, Dogu-chan, is a very interesting mix of almost cliche Anime and manga characters, who gets her power from her ever present companion, Dokigoro, who is an ancient Japanese clay idol who has an internal computer that can identify enemy yōkai (ogre or ghost) monsters.
In times of trouble, Dokigoro breaks apart to form Dogu-Chan's combat armour, consisting of a breast-plate that fires energy weapons and a wrist mounted device that she can insert any object into to modify. Example, if Dogo-Chan were to insert of photo of an arrow into it, it would shoot arrows, if she put a picture of a tomato into it, it would shoot tomatoes. You get the idea.
Oh, and check this out. The reason for Dogu-Chan's ample breasts, every time a yōkai is defeated it's energy is broken down and stored there.
The more monsters she kills, the bigger her chest gets.
Oh, and lets not forget the monsters. As is the case with most tokusatsu series, there are plenty of interesting bad guys for Dogu-Chan to go up a cup size fighting. Ranging from human-fish hybrids who feed on human emotions, a man possessed by a bicycle, ghosts, school girls who transform into animals plus a a pair of demons who are mother and daughter.
Dogu-Chan actually sparred the mother and daughter so that they could work out their relationship.
So, is "The Ancient Dogoo Girl" a teen show? An adult show? Both?
I still don't know, but I can say this, it's a a fun show, that certainly would appeal to fans of anime and shows like "Ultraman".
It also certainly will appeal to horny guys who like cute Japanese girls with big boobs.
Is it for everyone? No, like I mentioned before, a newbie to this genre, or Japanese forms of entertainment would certainly be lost and confused with what they are watching.
Ultimately, "The Ancient Dogoo Girl" is a lot of fun. It's camp, its parody and it's in your face, boobs, boobs, boobs. Which, I don't think any of the guys out there will complain about.

Naked lust that builds to a climax of death
The Big Doll House (1971) - Female prisoners in a Phillippine jail are being subjected to sadistic torture. Five of the women along with the help of two men plot an escape.
Director Jack Hill named the sadistic prison warden "Dietrich" after German producer Erwin C. Dietrich, with whom Hill had had a very unpleasant experience after Dietrich hired him to shoot a film in Switzerland.
In the sequence in which Judith Brown is tortured by having a snake dangled over her head, only a pane of glass separated Brown from said snake.
A graphic lesbian scene was shot, but cut from the final finished version of the film.
A Filipino porn actress was originally cast as Ferina, but left after the first day of shooting.
Roberta Collins' infamous "Get it up or I'll cut it off" line was improvised on the spot by director Jack Hill. - IMDB
