New Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray Video Shows Daisy Ridley Audition

Disney is continuing to tease videos that will be included in the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray. This time we get to see a little bit of Daisy Ridley’s audition.

Buzzfeed shared the new clip which will be in “The Secrets Of The Force Awakens” documentary. This documentary will be over 70 minutes long looking at how the big budget movie was made.

J.J. Abrams explained that they wanted to find an actress with a lot of range, but also someone that hasn’t been heard of before. Abrams said they saw a lot of good actresses, but Daisy Ridley was the one that was perfect for the role of Rey.

Universal has released a teaser for Doc Brown Saves the World, an exclusive short included in the 30th-anniversary re-issue of the Back to the Future trilogy, showing Lloyd reprising his role as the absent-minded inventor and getting out of the iconic DeLorean time machine one more time — although quite what he's up to beyond that remains unclear for now.

This is actually the second time Lloyd has played Doc Brown this year; in May, he returned to the character in a teaser for the multifranchise crossover video game Lego Dimensions. Quite where Mary Steenburgen's Clara Clayton is during all of this is a question no one has seen fit to answer just yet.

Prepare to have your minds blown by "The Warning" (comprised of sisters Alejandra, Paulina and Dany) three hard-rocking young ladies from Monterrey, Mexico who have the stones to cover the likes of "Metallica", "AC/DC" and "Twisted Sister". I think it's safe to say that these are not just covers, but from a technical standpoint, near mirror image reproductions of their original counterparts. This may be the most significant trio of rock musicians to come together since Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Pert. (That's RUSH, you dolt)

It's Godzilla vs. Minions In A New Toho Promo Video

It's thirty seconds long, cute, and very $#&*@#! cool!

Just in case you haven't seen this yet, the latest promo video for Toho Cinemas in Japan features the Minions from Despicable Me and everyone's favorite monster Godzilla. The clip is just too darn cute, and although it's in Japanese, I think everyone will get the gist.



My wife was quick to point out that the last Minion who follows Godzilla was actually me, and I agree. If I got that close to Godzilla, I would be more starstruck than if I had lunch with Harrison Ford (wouldn't that be cool!). Actually, come to think of it, Godzilla walked down the red carpet right behind me at the premiere of "Godzilla: Final Wars", so I kinda already had a moment like that.

... and YES that was friggin awesome!

The Minions will soon star in their own theatrical film, entitled Minions, to be released in the United States on July 10, 2015.

Toho Studios plans to release a new Godzilla film in 2016, with principal photography beginning during the summer of 2015.

Bigfoot filmed in Canada went viral

Two new videos that claim to document recent encounters in Canada, with the Bigfoot garnered over 1 million views. But more than a few viewers are wondering if the videos are legitimate or part of a larger marketing stunt.

The videos were posted to YouTube about two weeks ago after a Canadian app company PlayMobility, issued a call-out for footage of such legendary creatures as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster.

In one footage a group of Chinese tourists comes across a shadowy creature in the woods near Mission, British Canada, and grab their cameras to get a shot. The camerawork in the video is shaky and zooms in on the dark figure standing close to a lake.

It certainly looks like it could be Bigfoot and people say that the movement this creature makes in the video does coincide with a wild creature as opposed to a human, but the key to this video is that it is taken from far away.

Comic-Con: Godzilla Experience offers early look at new monster design

If the Godzilla Experience offers any indication of the scope and, well, sheer size of the upcoming Legendary Pictures’ movie directed by Gareth Edwards, then the film’s feature creature may be just as impressive as Guillermo del Toro’s kaiju in “Pacific Rim.” Add in a mix of nostalgia and who knows what kind of destruction Godzilla could wreak on the box office.

We lined up outside of a nondescript (except for the picture of a huge creature painted on it and symbols in Japanese) building in the Gaslamp Quarter to await our guide. During what starts out to be a tour of Godzilla memorabilia inside the building on a small set, complete with a malt shop/diner, our group was suddenly whisked from the showroom to the behind-the-scenes headquarters where it seems scientists are tracking Godzilla’s movements and all heck has broken loose. It was also at this point that we were conveniently told to turn off our cameras and recording equipment. People are in a severe panic mode because, wouldn’t you know it, it seems the monster has come ashore in San Diego. That’s a long swim from Tokyo.

It gets even scarier when we are hurried inside of an elevator to escape the rampage that has reached our doorstep (why is it that we seem to be going up?). The rumbling lift stops and we are told to go through an office to go out of the emergency exit. And that’s when we see it. Through the office windows of our high-rise, Godzilla walks past the building. Massive, muscular and menacing, it doesn’t have the feel of the man-in-a-suit Godzilla many of us know.

Sally Hawkins Joins The Cast Of GODZILLA / New Action Video

The Made In Dagenham star will play a scientist in the sci-fi flick, according to Deadline.

Sally, 36, is the latest cast member announced for the remake of the cinema classic.

Other actors working on the film include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, David Strathairn, Bryan Cranston and Juliette Binoche.

The giant reptile action film is currently shooting in Canada and is due to be released next year.

Not much is known about what the exact storyline will be, but it's thought director Gareth Edwards wants to give the tale more of a human angle.

A Godzilla Video Extravaganza! - Vancouver Island Location Footage!

Residents along a disused Vancouver Island rail spur may have been justifiably spooked by the sudden appearance of a weapons train loaded down with U.S. ballistic missiles several days ago — although the train was nothing more than a movie prop for a big-budget reboot of Godzilla.

“Yes, those are large US Ballistic Missiles headed for CFB Nanoose,” read a March 21 email being passed around in Victoria by an aloof bystander, alongside a photo of backed-up highway traffic waiting for the train to pass.

By “CFB Nanoose,” the author is referring to Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges, a military facility located at nearby Nanoose Bay used for testing unarmed torpedoes.

Nevertheless, despite the missile’s “USAF” markings and faux armed escort, the missiles were simply set pieces for the first shots of the film, which stars Aaron Johnson and is set for release in May, 2014.

The missile train first poked its head into the Vancouver area on St. Patrick’s Day, where its arrival was documented by train spotters before it was loaded on a barge for Vancouver Island.

“As you can imagine these missiles turned lots of heads on its short journey,” wrote photographer Christian Vazzaz in a recent post to RailPictures.net.

The train in question ran along the E&N Railway, a Vancouver Island rail spur that has been closed since 2011. Use of the semi-abandoned rail line was reportedly a major draw to the island, as was the “industrial” look of Nanaimo, B.C.

A writer for the blog YVRShoots.com captured images of the set, including olive-green Humvees, dozens of armed, uniformed U.S. soldiers, a crashed helicopter and burned-out cars. More than 300 crewmembers converged on Nanaimo for the shoot.

Although residents were given ample advance notice of the production, the same may not be said for passing drivers who happened to sneak a peek at the train.

A YouTube video posted on March 28 shows the passing train interrupting a backyard gathering.

Godzilla is the second U.S.-made reboot of the franchise, after 1998’s Godzilla.

Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce along with Mary Parent. Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham penned the script. Production is (obviously) currently underway.

Compelling Video of Mass UFO Sighting

A squadron of sliver orb UFO balls of light was caught on video as they "danced" through a darkening sky with the onset of a storm. What are they?

The video, submitted to the destination site "Third Phase Of Moon" has been making the rounds on the web because of the unusual activity captured. The orbs fly around each other in a controlled pattern and several times dip in and out of the clouds.

That seems to rule out the most usual method of trickery: beams of light reflected off a mirror pointed at the sky.

The story begins with the inhabitants of Drakulon dying slowly due to the drying up of its blood. The last few lie dying when a spaceship from Earth crashes on the planet. Vampirella, sent to investigate, is attacked; retaliating, she discovers that the astronauts have blood in their veins. That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane

Well it looks like the end of everything is a mere fourteen days away ... or so the Mayans have predicted. To be honest I really hadn't been too worried about the fact that a calender that was created in 3372 BC couldn't go on for infinity. I mean really the thing had to run out of space right?

Today however, I think there may be something to this doomsday mumbo jumbo after all. First off look at the date, '12-21-12' it's a series of numbers that repeats. Isn't that odd? Secondly the prime minister of Australia, Julia Gillard, recently went on television in the land down under and stated the end was indeed near.

Julia Gillard is a pretty and intelligent woman who seems to be on the ball about things, after all she was elected by the people of Australia, the same people who brought us INXS, 'Mad Max' and Yahoo Serious. So you know she's not just another political nut job.

According to Gillard to end could come from any number of sources, “Whether the final blow comes from flesh-eating zombies, demonic hill beasts or from the total triumph of K-Pop…”

Don't laugh bath salts are turning upstanding citizens into flesh eating monsters, hill beasts are everywhere and undoubtedly K-Pop will be the end of us all. No, Julia is really onto something here!

The Monstrous Movie Clip Of The Day: Wabbits Wabbits Wabbits!

Happy Easter Monster Maniacs! Everybody loves rabbits right? They are cute, cuddly and make great pets. I'm sure that many of you gave a rabbit as a gift to innocent child this Easter didn't you?

Well you may want to rethink that gift after watching this clip from the classic (?) horror film "Night of the Lepus". It plainly illustrates just how vicious those cute little critters can become! One little science experiment goes awry and bingo ... you have a herd of giant mutant bunnies running around killing campers and chowing down on local cattle.

"Zillions and twillions of wabbits! Where are they all coming from?" - Elmer Fudd

Indeed there are "zillions and twillions" of real bunnies running around miniature sets in "Night of the Lepus" which was one of a group of "critter on the loose" films produced during the 1970s that included "Empire of the Ants", "Food of the Gods", "The Giant Spider Invasion" and "Kingdom of the Spiders".

In the end the residents of Tucson, which include cowboy actor Stuart Whitman, Psycho alum Janet Leigh, Star Trek doc Deforest Kelley, and the dashing Rory Calhoun, decide to electrify a set of railroad track like some giant Lionel train set and "fwicassee" (Fudd) them all. Of course the plan works and the world is saved!

Certainly it would have been in better taste to post a clip from a spiritual film like "The Ten Commandments", "Ben-Hur" or "The Greatest Story Ever Told" on a day like today, but that's not how we roll here at Monster Island News. Instead we like to leave you with visions of giant rabbits covered in fake blood running and running and running .....

The Monstrous Movie Clip Of The Day: Will You Believe It When You're Dead?

Happy St Patrick's Day monster movie maniacs! By now you are probably really drunk or watching March Madness basketball ... or really drunk watching basketball? Anyway today is a day for all things green so I have a clip from the greatest Irish sci fi monster movie of all time "The Green Slime!"

Okay it's a Japanese flick with actors from Europe produced by Americans but it does have the word "green" in the title so I declare it an honorary Irish movie ... as if I could do such a thing.

There has to be somebody Irish in the thing right?

It also wouldn't hurt if you were actually drunk while your watching "The Green Slime" because it is one of those "it's so bad it's good" kinda films which means yours truly really digs it and watch it every chance I get.

The clip I have for you today is fan made job combining action sequences from the movie with it's ultra groovy theme song.

History:

The Green Slime (ガンマー第3号 宇宙大作戦 Ganmā Daisan Gō: Uchū Daisakusen, aka Gamma 3: Operation Outer Space) is a 1968 science-fiction film produced by MGM in the United States and shot in Japan at the studios of Toei Company by director Kinji Fukasaku. The film was spearheaded by the same creative team who produced similar Italian outings including Wild, Wild Planet, Ivan Reiner and Walter Manley.

A group of astronauts set out to stop a giant asteroid on a collision course with the planet Earth. They land on the asteroid, plant explosive charges and destroy it. Afterwards they return to the staging area, a space station called Gamma 3 in orbit around the Earth. Unfortunately, a scientist from the mission has unwittingly carried a luminous-green substance on the leg of his spacesuit which quickly mutates into one-eyed, tentacled monsters with the ability to discharge lethal bolts of electricity. The Gamma 3 crew fend off the alien creatures with their laser-based weaponry, only to discover the creatures feed off the energy which, in turn, allows them to multiply rapidly, sprouting the new creatures from their blood. As the creatures overrun the station the crew continues to fight back against overwhelming odds.

In other words big globs of green space goo mutates into giant sausages with one red eye and tentacles that has an unquenchable hunger for electricity. You shoot one and it's blood turns into several more. People die and the space station goes boom!

The female love interest Luciana Paluzzi is also easy on the eyes ... you don't even have to have a few to think so!

In parting I want to share an Irish blessing with all of you:
