This past weekend, my wife and I decided to explore Lufkin, a charming city in eastern Texas. We arrived around noon, so naturally, our first stop was for food. We noticed the usual fast-food chains everywhere, and just as we were about to settle for a local Whataburger, I spotted a retro drive-in across the street. Have you ever sensed that the universe was sending you a message? For me, over the past three days, that message has revolved around the fast food gem known as Del Taco. It all kicked off when my wife reminisced about the delight of Taco Tuesdays, where three tasty tacos only set you back $1.49 (I remember when it was just 99 cents!). Then, just yesterday, while tuning into a radio station from Albuquerque, New Mexico (KDRF 103.3 eD FM), I caught a commercial touting that Del Taco now has twenty items priced under $2.
