STRIP CLUB SLASHER World Premiere Info!

It was way back in June of 2009 when we first brought you news of NFTS Productions "girls gone wild" horror movie "Strip Club Slasher", and now, finally, the film is set to have it's world premiere.

Don't start packing for Hollywood just yet, the debut of "Slasher" will take place at the Mounds Theatre in St.Paul, Minnesota, not in Tinseltown.

For those of you not in the loop here is the lowdown on "Strip Club Slasher":

A seedy, small town strip joint takes a down and dirty donkey punch after one of the girls get's brutally murdered. Fearing that the killer may be targeting the local talent, the authorities shut the place down while they investigate the crime. Sad and scared, the other girls decide to spend the weekend together to reflect on the loss of their friend and to keep each other safe. Sex, drugs and rock and roll ensue before everything comes to a scream filled halt when a madman starts picking them off in a brutal display of blood drenched depravity!

Strip Club Slasher features some of today's hottest up and coming Indie horror scream queens like Scarlet Salem, Elske McCain, Rachel Grubb, Lindy Starr with first timer's Saint DeVille and Corrine Manning alongside sick and twisted horror actor/writter/author Joe Knetter and veteran B-movie horror actor Joel D. Wynkoop from such classic movies as Twisted Illusions, Truth or Dare, Killing Spree, Wicked Games, Creep, Dirty Cop No Donut and many many others.

Frame by frame Strip Club Slasher is loaded with gratuitous blood, boobs, babes, sex, drugs and rocknroll... No holds bared, this movie aims to deliver what slasher fans want to see!!!

I think ya had people at "boobs, babes and sex".

As stated above, "Strip Club Slasher" stars MIN favorites, Rachel Grubb, Elske McCain and Scarlet Salem ......... or as I like to call them the "holy Trinity of Scream Queens."

Scarlet Bloody Scarlet

I know that everyone out there is starting to go through some kind of Scarlet Salem withdrawal or something, because I haven't posted anything about her in few weeks. Don't worry, your prayers have been answered, and your favorite scream queen was kind enough to send us the info on her latest project, a little Sci Fi/Fantasy/Horror/Comedy called 'Potpourri'.

As you can see from the photos Scarlet let me post, she gets covered with a fair amount of blood in this one. If ya like blood on blonds, well, this may be the film for you.

Here is the plot:

A group of students at a liberal arts college in Minneapolis is faced with expulsion if their final papers in philosophy class are not satisfactory. As a result, the inept group of friends decides to experiment with a series of illicit drugs, in an effort to expand their cognitive horizons and help them better understand some of the mind-bending concepts of the course. Each is taken on a different adventure as the students begin to realize how severely they've underestimated the effects of the drugs.

In the film, Scarlet plays Courtney, a friend of one of students who gets more than she bargains for when she comes to see him at a party.

The actress explains, "...my role is a cute girl at the party, Courtney, who only showed up to see this guy who she had a crush on, Preston. Instead of hanging out with him, she gets beer spilled on her and gets accidentally locked in a basement with some guys she doesn't know... the night ends up worse than it already was, and takes a very bad turn for Courtney and all hell breaks loose!"

Let this be a lesson to all of you out there....say no to drugs. You could end up wearing someone elses beer and getting locked up in a basement with some nut job you don't even know, who covers you in blood or some other bodily fluid.

I don't think that I have to go into detail about that......right?

New Poster Art And Website Info For 'Strip Club Slasher'

Over the past year, three of indie horrors top actresses have become regulars here at Monster Island News. Scarlet Salem has blessed us with some awesome photographs, Elske McCain has given us insight into the sometimes turbulent life of a modern scream queen, and Rachel Grubb has contributed to the sight with a handful of insightful articles about pop culture and comic books.

All three of these lovely ladies made it into our "Hottest Women of 2009" list, without any favoritism, I assure you, which means that this sites readers really have fallen for them.

In NFTS Productions upcoming horror, "Strip Club Slasher" you will be able to get all three of these heavenly women in one film. Yes, Scarlet, Rachel and Elske will be strutting their stuff and getting chased around by a lunatic serial killer, all for your viewing pleasure.

NFTS has just released a series of posters for "Strip Club Slasher", each of which feature Scarlet, Rachel and Elske exclusively.

The studio has also just launched a new website for the film, and according to Scarlet, a trailer is on the way.

Now before I post the link to the site, I want to warn you that there is adult content there. If you look into the photo gallery you find a topless photo of Rachel in a hot tub and a very bloody image of two girls in a '69'.

Rachel Grubb - Eyes That Can Melt Your Heart - Film Making In A Uniquely Feminine Style

As most of you know by now, the lovely actress, model, producer and writer (I'm sure that I missed something there) has graciously joined the blogging staff here at Monster Island News. Her recent article, "What I Want From The Next Batman Movie", really got the fans thinking, and talking. I really can't wait to see what she writes about next!

Though Rachel has joined the crew here, she still feels a little hesitant to post items that have to due with her own publicity, even though I told her that would be alright. I kinda get her point though, when you write about yourself, or your own projects, you could be conceived as being 'self-centered' or something else erroneous.

So, that being said, Rachel was kind enough to pass along a set of brand-new photos of herself, taken by photographer John Donegan in Nashville, Tn.

These images really bring out Rachels eyes, they really look as if the can see into your soul, which in many cases, can be a very scary and confusing proposition. Well, in my case anyway.

Rachel also sent along a copy of the press release for the debut of her film, "Why Am I In A Box":

Included in the event are the feature WHY AM I IN A BOX, Written and Directed by “13 Hours in a Warehouse” star Rachel Grubb, as well as the three shorts YOUNG EYES, A BROKEN FAMILY, and A YOUNG HEART, Directed by Brooke Lemke.

Above all, Brooke Lemke and Rachel Grubb, stars of “Cave Women on Mars” and the producers of SILENT-BUT-DEADLY PRODUCTIONS, want to do things their way. Every frame will be distinctly their own. No compromise. No masculine middle man. Nothing between their minds and the movies they want to make. WHY AM I IN A BOX concerns a lazy writer and her deranged muse. YOUNG EYES and A BROKEN FAMILY look at family dysfunction, and the dysfunction between young women and their self-images.

The duo's first three films will debut on SEPTEMBER 24th at the RIVERVIEW THEATER, doors will open at 8:45pm, and screening begins at 9:30. There will be a Q&A with the Filmmakers and Company Owners until 11:30pm.

Many of you may recognize Rachel's signature pink dress in one of these shots. That particular garment, according to Rachel, is a photographer favorite. You can also see her with it on in "Strip Club Slasher", though I don't know how long she keeps it on in the movie.

Between Heaven And Hell - More Fantasy Photos Of Rachel Grubb

A little over a week ago I posted a couple of new photos of Rachel Grubb by Robert Odegard. Since that time a batch of new photos from that photo shoot have released.

If you liked the first two, one of Rachel as a winged demon, and the other of her as an angel, then you should really dig these.

As is the case with the prior pics, Rachel isn't wearing very much in these pictures, a fact that I am sure will be to delight of the male MIN readers.....or in this case, should I say, leerers.

This time around we have a warrior woman photo, more angel-like images and a soft one with Rachel in a white billowing blouse.

These photos will have to hold off you.....um.....fans of artistic photography for the weekend, but fear not, Rachel will off doing more modeling over the next couple of days so new photos should be popping up soon!

Vampire Girl & Fairy Girl - New Photos Of Rachel Grubb

Once again we are being treated to new photos of actress Rachel Grubb, and once again we are being treated to two very different kinds of images that portray her darker side along with her more angelic side.

These wonderful images are the work of photographer Robert Odegard who really let has imagination run wild when it came to coming up with creative ways to feature Rachel.

The first photo, which is in black and white, shows Rachel as a winged vampire girl....or is she a winged demon? Anyway it doesn't matter, because she looks hot regardless.

Rachel loves everything "Batman" related, now she's posed as a Batgirl. It makes perfect sense in the grand scheme of things......trust me.

Next we have her posed as a very angelic looking winged fairy. A very contrasting image to it's counterpart.

Of course, Rachel is once again naked as the day she was born.

I'm starting to see a trend here, photographers, and for that matter directors, seem to be very eager to get Rachel out of her clothes. They also like showing two sides of her. No, not right and left, dark and light.

Scream Queen Rachel Grubb Nude....Okay, Kinda, Sorta

Okay, I admit it, the title of this article is sort of a publicity stunt being perpetrated by yours truly to get your attention. Sometimes you really just have to flash up signs like "Live Nude Girls" just to get people to snap out of their comas and look at your stuff sometimes.

It may be a lie, but a little white one indeed, for you see Rachel is nude in these photos....only thing is the parts you probably want to see are covered by the lid of a hat box. I know, it's a tease.

Though the pics don't supply 'the big pay off', you have to admit that they are quite lovely.

Many of you may be wondering why news on the photogenic Rachel Grubb tailed off recently, well that has to do with the fact that she just got married.

Yes, she's off the market.

No need to worry though, Rachel is rested up from her honeymoon and getting right back to work preparing for her role as Desiree Diamonds in "Strip Club Slasher." I am happy to report that though she isn't completely nude in the photos that are featured here, she will be in the movie. Funny thing was, that her role originally didn't call for nudity, but the director had it written in at the last minute.

Rachel is also about to begin work on the film "Haunting Kira", a project that she is very excited about.

"Stripper Wanted!" For Strip Club Slasher Movie

Actress Scarlet Salem is presently helping NFTS Productions search for an actress for the film "Strip Club Slasher" needed for a shoot this weekend. Only thing is, the actress would have to get her butt to Minnesota by the weekend. Oh, and also the part requires nudity. From the title "Strip Club Slasher", you probably already guessed that.
