Loening Flying Yacht -- May 1, 2013

Gover Loening's S-1 Flying Yacht seaplane was an advanced airplane for 1921.  The monoplane won the Collier Trophy and set an altitude record.  Loening sold three to an airline and 9 to the US Army Air Service.
