Third COVID-19 Booster -- November 20, 2023

I received my third Pfizer booster shot in one arm and my pflu shot in the other. The pflu side is pfine, but the Pfizer side hurts.

COVID-19, Vaccine, Masks, Church, Baseball and School -- December 30, 2022

COVID-19 infections are rising, along with infections from the flu and RSV. Some people say we are experiencing a "Tripledemic".

I had surgery in November and I am still recuperating. I hope I can return to teaching in January.

The Giants had a strange situation, pulling out of signing a free agent the day they were supposed to close the deal. There was concern after his physical. He made a deal with the Mets. People lambasted the Giants for their stupidity, but the Mets, concerned about his health, have not signed him, either.

Ukraine continues to fight the Russian agressors.

100 years ago a bunch of idiots in San Francisco formed an anti-mask league "Despite the evident benefit of the masks..."  Idiots today want people to stop wearing masks and want to do away with business closures and social distancing.

Governor Newsom has ordered bars and restaurants to close.  He is urging people to shelter-in-place unless going out is absolutely necessary.  During the Spanish flu pandemic, many people wore masks.  Now they tell us that the masks do not stop us from catching something, but may stop us from giving something to someone else.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco has cancelled all public masses. 

The San Francisco MTA announced that cable cars and the F-Market and Wharves line will be replaced by buses.

No Wine -- February 29, 2020


When we went to 5 o'clock mass at Good Shepherd, we found that there will no longer be cups used at communion.  This is because of flu season and the coronavirus.
