This 1904 Thomas Model 27 Racer was offerred on eBay in April, 2008. I couldn't afford it.

Saturday we gave blood and got All Star Game tee shirts. I also got my two gallon pin.

I haven't seen much about the 100th anniversary of the New York to Paris round-the-world race. This ad from the 25-March-1908 San Francisco Call advertises that the only American entry, the Thomas Flyer, had arrived in San Francisco the previous afternoon, far ahead of its competitors. Edgar Preston Brinegar was a leader of the Lincoln Highway Association.

Thomas Flyer - August 26, 2007

San Francisco's Olympic Club sponsored a racing meet at Tanforan Race Track on Sunday, 25-August -1907. The Thomas Flyer won the "five mile Free-for-All race for runabouts", made the fastest mile of the day, and "won both twenty-file mile heats and the final in the distance race of the day."
