I've previously shared some Justice Gang artwork by manga artist, Yashiro Manabu, herehere, and here. Today I found a few more I wanted to share.

Music Monday - Crash

I loved Wayne Static and Static-X when I was in high school and college. Sadly Wayne passed away a decade or so ago. This past week we got a new music release and music video featuring the man (and no it's not AI). I remember the song Crash from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. A Batman themed music video was shot, but never released, until now. Some bits of the music have been recorded/changed and the video has been given a 4K remaster.

DC Is Punk Rock!

You might not agree, but Dan Hipp seems to. Also Bruce’s sleeves are fantastic.

Clayface Teaser

James Gunn said the Clayface movie was going to be more like a horror flick. Based on this initial teaser it will be. The music just fits perfectly with the images to create something truly unnerving.

I Am Gotham's Reckoning

I probably shouldn't be into the femme Bane piece by manga artist, Yashiro Manabu, as much as I am, but damn do I love a muscle mommy.

Bob, Gun.

I've talked about my love for Bob in the past. This week I found a new Bob action figure and had to grab it. Technically the figure is Joker Goon, but Bob is the main goon featured. I've already statted him out for three systems, but DCC isn't one of them. Since DCC supers is one of my current focuses, I figured that should change today.

Bob the Goon: Init +2; Atk +d6+2 pistol (1d6+1) or +d6 combat knife (1d6+1) or +d6 unarmed (1d4+1); Crit IV/1d20; AC 12; HD 4d10+4; HP 30; Mov. 30'; Act 1d20; SQ Mighty Deeds, threat range 19-20 (16-20 if target is laughing);  SV Ref +4; Fort +3, Will +1; AL C

Just a reminder that my next Punch A Nazi Week will start tomorrow. Here's one more Joe Flanders Comics that is totally not related to the theme of the announcement

Truth, Justice, and…

Whether it’s “Truth, Justice, and the American Way” or “Truth, Justice, and a Better Tomorrow” Superman would absolutely be anti-I.C.E.

This piece by kevintranart_ and wanted to share.

Pathetic

Here’s another anti-I.C.E. piece I found. This time we get DCAU Batman expressing his thoughts. The piece was created by Jordan Gibson.

Happy Birthday, Eric!

Today is Eric Bloat’s birthday. Since he’s my favorite Batman fan, I thought it would be fun stat up Birthday Boy, the first costumed villain faced by Batman Earth One. Wish Eric a happy birthday and make it extra special by grabbing one of his games from the Bloat Games shop or DriveThruRPG.

Birthday Boy: Init +2; Atk +d6 serial killer knife (1d8+3); Crit G/1d20; AC 14; HD 4d8+12; HP 32; Mov. 30'; Act 1d20; SP +3 to sneak silently and hide in shadows (as thief), critical threat range: 19-20; SV Ref +2; Fort +4; Will +2; Path C

I Just Help The Little Guy

I’m a huge fan of Ollie and I think this piece by Conner Coker is true to his character. I also agree 💯 with the sentiment expressed.

My Adventures With Goku

This Ricardo Lopez Ortiz cover for My Adventures with Superman is a great tribute to Akira Toriyama’s classic Dragon Ball art. Considering Superman was an inspection for Goku it’s cool to see things come full circle.

I'm The Real Hero!

Dave and I have started work on Crisis In Infinite Zines #2. We are still waiting for approval from Goodman Games and our test prints, so I don't have a release date. That being said Issue #1 is one its way. As practice and to get my mind fully immersed back into the DCC mindset, I thought I'd do some random stats. Since I'm getting ready to start season two of Gen V, I figured I'd start with the main villain of the setting.

Superman and Homelander will finally fight later this year thanks to DC's KO event. I really want Clark to take him out in one punch (which based on power scale is what should happen), though I'm not holding my breath. The art with this post is an official promo piece for the upcoming confrontation.

Superman is beyond power levels I'm comfortable working with for DCC, but I think Homelander is doable. These stats are based on the Amazon Prime version of Homelander (mainly because I think the original The Boys comic is great in concept and trash in execution).

--------

John aka Homelander: Init +10; Atk +10 slam (3d6+8) or +8 heat vision (2d6, range 120'); Crit V/2d20; AC 16; HD 12d12+72; HP 134; Mov. 60', fly 90'; Act 2d20; SP fulcrum requirement, instability, overconfidence, regenerative healing, super strength, super durability, super speed, heat vision, supers senses, x-ray vision; SV Ref +12; Fort +12; Will +4; AL C

Fulcrum requirement: To properly utilize his super strength and speed, Homelander must have a solid surface and leverage. Without that his slam attacks only do 1d6 damage.

Instability: Mental attacks are super effective against Homelander due to his traumatic and cold upbringing. This is reflected in his low Will save. Additionally psionic damage die are increased by one against him.

Overconfidence: Homelander believes he is the perfect being which causes him to underestimate opponents.

Regenerative healing: Homelander's healing is greatly enhanced. He regains 1d12+8 hit points for every hour he rests.

Super senses: Like all V supes, Homelander can hear higher frequencies than normal humans. However, Homelander's senses are even more enhanced. He gets +10 on all rolls related to sight/sent/hearing. This also makes him vulnerable to sonic attacks.

X-ray vision: Homelander has low energy photon x-ray vision and can see through any substance except zinc.

A Real Wholesome Team-Up

This piece by comic book artist Dan Mora is fantastic. It combines two of my favorite paragons.

G.I. Robot Was Right

I found this while scrolling yesterday. I love GI and just ordered a “GI Robot Was Right” shirt yesterday.

I think it might be time for another Punch A Nazi week. Not sure the exact week I’ll do it but expect another one by the end of the month.

Music Monday - The Laugh Track

One of my favorite bands, Ice Nine Kills, is known for their cinematic videos (which feature an ongoing story) and horror based tracks. Recently they've shifted towards non-horror flicks. Their previous track, The Great Unknown, is inspired by The Matrix. Last week they dropped a video inspired by the Batman '89 version of the Joker. The song itself is a banger and the video is pretty awesome too. My favorite part of the song itself is how Spencer and crew worked in a bit of Tim Burton's Batman theme and a melody from Batman: The Animated Series
.

[Screeching]

I haven't posted much recently, though I have been writing. Dave and I are hard at work on Issue #1 of Crisis in Infinite Zines

I've really been enjoying Peacemaker Season 2. It's introduced a new dimension and new characters. Since I statted Peacemaker for Evolved, I thought it would be appropriate to stat out his best friend and sidekick, Eagly. But before that here's a silly trait inspired by the second episode:

Bird blindness: No matter the size or species of the bird this creature will always perceive them as a small bird. At the Judge's discretion that also applies to other avian creatures.

And now for Peacemaker's feathered friend. I started with the bird of prey stats and beefed them up slightly. Then I added the sidekick traits. Note, while the stats refer to PC mentor, he is Peacemaker's sidekick.

Eagly (0-level sidekick): Init +2; Atk +2 peck (1d6+1); Crit M/1d6 (special); AC 14; HD 3d8+3; HP 16; Mov. 10', fly 90'; Act 1d20; SP eye gouge, lucky, good luck charm; SV Fort +3; Ref +3; Will +2; Path WtL; Str 13(+1), Agi 16(+2), Sta 13 (+1), Per 10(+0), Int 6(-1), Luck 14 (+1).

Eye gouge: If Eagly rolls a critical hit on his attack roll, the damage also potentially ruins one of the victim’s eyes in addition to the rolled critical hit effect (a successful Luck check avoids). Having one eye means the victim has a -2 penalty on all missile fire attacks and for Intelligence checks for searching and spotting (active).

Good luck charm: For every 1 luck burned, Eagly gains +2 to his or his PC mentor's roll. Eagly's Luck score is restored each night by a number of points equal to his PC mentor's level. If Eagly dies, the owner loses 2 permanent Luck and any of hte good luck charm benefits bestowed (see Sidekick Benefits and Drawbacks, p. 392, EVOLVED RPG).

Lucky: Eagly grants his PC mentor +1 Luck and +1 to Reflex saves.
