Carcassonne unearthed!

Started a rediscovery of an old favourite this weekend. Hopefully, we can play a bit of this over the next few weeks

4 points for first place, 3 points for second...you get the idea. After some tutoring for the newbie-oldies, Day 1 point tally looks like this:

Man Cave - 4
SWMBO - 3
The Lad - 2
The Lass - 1

The Lass smashed all opposition after she built this city in a game of Carcassonne!

Carcassonne Tourney - Day 3

Big shifts afoot in this likely last sesssion. Final results are:

Man Cave +5 = 13

Gran +3 = 10

The Lad +1 = 10

The Lass +5 (equal first place) = 8

Pop +2 = 5

Quite a battle this one, I eventually triumphed and played very cooperatively with The Lass to deny the Lad some needed Tourney points. Just goes to show that old age and treachery will always triumph over youth and enthusiasm!

And now we can move on to trying out the "Inns and Cathedrals" expansion I picked up on the way home today!

Carcassonne Tourney - Day 2.1

I got home from work too late to play on Day 2, so here are the results after two games:

The Lad +4 = 9
Man Cave +5 = 8
Gran +3 = 7
Pop +2 = 3
The Lass +1 =3

Watch out Lad, I'm catching up!

Carcassonne Tourney - Day 1

'She who must be obeyed' is away for a week or and I have my in-laws to help me out with the domestics. What a great opportunity to teach them Carcassonne and start a tourney after dinner each night :-)

5 points for first place, 4 points for second...1 point for fifth. You get the idea. After some tutoring for the newbie-oldies, Day 1 point tally looks like this:

The Lad - 5
Gran - 4
Man Cave - 3
The Lass - 2
Pop - 1

This will be interesting...

Carcassonne

My kids just ganged up and whipped my butt in this game!

Good for them I say. Its a proud day for a wargaming dad and the next evolutionary step in my 'train a worthy opponent at home' campaign.

If you havent played it, Carcassonne is a great cooperative startegy game which is quickly picked up by kids aged 8 and up.
