Something Divine

I came across this song a few days ago and loved the message behind it.

Brooke White sings “Something Divine” to remind us that we are all children of God who has given us talents and responsibilities. “Every star is different, and so is every child. Some are bright and happy, and some are meek and mild.”

But this is more than just a reminder that people are different. Our different strengths, talents, and gifts are God-given. They are an invitation for us to rise up to our potential and use them to bless lives: ours and others.

There’s something inside, the song reminds us. There’s something divine. We are children of a Father in Heaven who has a divine calling for each person. As we strive to be the best we can be, we are magnifying God’s plan and realizing the potential he has blessed us with.

“Sit with your face towards the sun and don’t give up until your work is done,” the song concludes. Let his light illuminate your path. Look to him for light and inspiration. “And in time, you’ll find something divine.

End of the year Kindergarten Program

Today we celebrated all that Sophie has accomplished and learned this year in Kindergarten. We are so proud of her and her accomplishments.

She became really good friends with Mrs. Bard who was a classroom helper and was there everyday.

Sophie with her teacher Mrs. Olsen. She was so amazing and was so great to help and work with Sophie.

Great job Sophie we are so proud of you!

Happy Easter!

For Easter this year we had a egg hunt and barbeque at Poppy and Grandma Jewel's. It always so fun to get together and play.

Counting her eggs

Catching bugs

Tried roasting peeps for the first time! They were delicious!

Oliver looking for his eggs. He was running everywhere and kept dropping eggs out of his basket. Those rain boots are tricky to run in! They have been the only shoes he has worn the entire week.

Two Months Old

Alice is such a sweet baby and happy baby. She has such a sweet spirit about her. I often find myself just snuggling and holding her in awe at her sweet little features. I still cannot believe that I brought her into this world without any modern medicine and have noticed a huge difference in both of our recoveries.
I also decided to do monthly pictures of her first year. Each month I'll post a new picture with her wearing the same onesie and bow laying on this blanket. It's going to be so fun to look back and see how much she has grown!

Kindy 500

For Kindergarten each year they do a kindy 500. You make a car out of a box and they
'drive" their car to different landmarks and learn something about each of them. They then have a parade around the school where they drive their cars around. Wes was the brains behind the building of the car and Sophie and I decorated it.

They did a little program for the parents and sang a few songs and each had a little part to say. Sophie did awesome with hers and said it super fast! " She's mighty and tall with a torch in hand, touring this country sure is grand!"

She even got her own driver's licence! Watch out roads, here comes Sophie!

Alice Mae's blessing

Today Alice was given a name and a blessing by her Father. This is always such a sweet and tender moment and I'm so glad we had so many of our loved ones and friends there to share this special day with us.

Alice has such a sweet spirit about her. I am so grateful I get to be her Mother and am so thankful she is doing so well.

I am so thankful for this little growing family of mine! They bring so much joy, happiness and purpose into my life!
