Our Halloween

This month has been tons of fun for us. We went to the library Haunted House, did the ward Trunk or Treat and attended the Snow College Halloween Carnival, and went trick or treating. It's been so fun watching Sophie absorb everything. Weeks later she is still talking about the haunted house and wants to put on her costume every night and go and get more treats.

Our Little Red Riding Hood

Sorting our treats

We hope that you all have had a fun month as well. We've decided that we like to dress up, go to parties and get treats from people. Halloween is fun!

Sophie's new toy

For Sophie's birthday this year Grandpa Womble gave her a piggy bank. We've been saving our "money's" for something special. Lately Sophie has been asking me for a bike. Everyday. More than once usually.
Wes and I talked about it and decided to count up her money from her piggy bank and see if she had enough to buy a bike. We dumped it all out, took it to the bank and counted it and left with $29 for our new bike. We had to chip in about $10 but Sophie couldn't be happier.

I love the look of shock on her face. "I can't believe I have a bike!"
We had a little meltdown while we put the bike together but it didn't last long.
I was trying to tell her to put her hands on the handlebars.
We still aren't quite sure how to ride it. She knows that you need to put your feet on the pedals but I'm sure that with some practice we will be riding around like crazy. Thanks Grandpa Womble for the piggy bank. We have one happy little girl around here.

Confused?

That's how life has been the past few weeks. Sophie and I have both been really sick the past few weeks. It started as the stomach flu, then a cold, croup, sore throats, coughs, and fevers. It hasn't been a very fun month for us but I've learned quite a bit.
I've learned that during the times that are hard is when we need to turn to the Lord. He is the only one that knows exactly how we feel and he will always be there to comfort us. No matter what. I'm grateful for him and that I have the gospel in my life. It's the only way I've been able to get through these rough weeks.

Day at the Lake

Last weekend after the Cattle Run we just had to stop by Fish Lake and do some serious fishing and see the leaves.
Yes, Wes caught a fish from the shore! Amazing huh? We had it for dinner that night and it was Delicious!

Thanks Fish Lake, you never disappoint us.

A blanket for Baby Brother

I finally got around to making a blanket for the baby. It's just hit me that I'm going to have a baby in just about 9 weeks. I'm not sure if I'm ready. The nerves are getting to me and I'm remembering what it was like during labor with Sophie. Tough. But worth it.
I'm getting excited to meet this new little one that will join our family in the next few weeks. I know 9 weeks might not seem that close to you but it sure does to me. Hence the blanket made for our sweet son. Doesn't it remind you of a dinosaur or a frog?

Wes is in the newspaper!

Before school started the city newspaper took a picture of all the nursing students. Pretty neat huh? To make it into the paper for being accepted into the nursing program. Can you spot Wes?

Cattle Run

This weekend we went to our first ever Cattle Run. For those of you who don't know what a cattle run is I'll tell you. Since it's getting colder the owners of cattle need to get their cows off the mountain for the winter. This particular cattle run was a few owners working together which included over 1,000 cattle.

They came over the top of this mountain.
Then they were herded into separate corrals. Depending on whose cows they were.
We also got to see the Cowboys on their horses.
And spend some time with our cousins.
I've never seen so many cows in one place before! It was very loud hearing them call for their friends or family that were lost. Now Sophie knows what noise a cow makes! Overall, a very cool experience.

Life at the Womble's

There is never a dull moment over here at the Womble's. Which isn't always a good thing. This last week our Carbon Monoxide alarm went off, Sophie was sick and throwing up, now I'm sick with the flu and Sophie has a runny nose.
This week is our fall break and I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I'm hoping this happens. But by the way things go over hear at our house it's not very likely. Here's to a nice relaxing fall break.

Our Saturday

This morning I got to spend a few hours with Sophie and Laura while Wes and Jay went fishing. We met Laura when we first moved here at Storytime and have been friends with the Langford's ever since. They both play so well together and are so cute to watch together.

I'm so glad that we met the Langford's. They have been such a blessing in our lives. It nice to know that you have friends to play with.
Also, on another note I'm loving my new portable dishwasher. Wes told me maybe Santa would bring me one for Christmas. But it came a little early. I found it on KSL this past week and only paid $50. It was SOOO worth it! I can't believe that I washed dishes by hand for the past year and a half. Dishwashers are amazing!

As I've been going through pictures I noticed we don't have very many with the three of us. There are hardly any of me and Sophie. Not to mention I don't have hardly any pictures of this pregnancy. So, while we were up north we had my family take some pictures of us.

I love this picture of Wes and I.
Sophie with her cousin Koda. I was surprised we got a picture with both of them smiling.
I told Sophie to sit down and put her arms like that. This has to be one of my favorites of her.

I have a ton more but these were a few of my favorites. What do you think?

Weekend Highlights Part 2

Going to the new park by Grandma Jewel's house
Trying out the slippery slide
Heading over to Uncle Clark's Pumpkin Patch and picking out some pumpkins.
Sophie walked right up to this one. So of course we had to bring it home with us. She calls Pumpkins, "Pum pums."
Then, getting together with my cousins and having our Pinkalicious Girl's Party while the guys were at Priesthood. It was great to catch up with everyone and to celebrate the color pink.

Weekend Highlights

This weekend was amazing! I was so glad that Wes and I were able to attend the Saturday Morning Session at the Conference Center. It's a Womble tradition. I hadn't been for a few years and was so glad that we were able to go.
I loved being in the same room as the apostles and Prophet. The spirit there is so strong during those sessions.

After Conference we headed up to "The Roof" restaurant at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for lunch. Which is also another Womble tradition. It was great to get together with Karla, Glen and Gabe and share in Conference together.
