7 Months Old
Sophie Rose turned 7 months old on Thursday. Here are 7 things you might not know about her.
1. Sophie is getting in her bottom two front teeth.
2. She rolls everywhere and gets into everything.
3. She loves to explore.
4. Whenever she is on the floor or in her crib she pounds her feet on the floor or her matress. It's very loud!
5. Dancing makes her laugh.
6. When we change her diaper she kicks the wipes off the changer.
7. If she is happy she bounces, smiles at you and then buries her face in your chest.

The Dream and then....
About a week ago I had a dream that we went to the Home Expo and entered a contest and won new bedroom furniture. The next day I got complimentary tickets in a e-mail. So I told Wes that we should go and just walk around. Because we didn't have to pay to get in. We went on Saturday and entered for the grand prize which was bedroom furniture. Then we left and came home. Sunday was just anouther ordinary day. We went to church and came home. Karla came over for dinner and to play games. While we were playing the phone rang. After finally finding the phone I answered. A lady asked if I was Jessica and I said yes. Then she told me she was from the home show and that they drew my name for the grand prize. I stood in the kitchen and said, "No way! Are you serious?" She assured me that this was real and I had won and that I needed to come pick it up. But I couldn't hear anything she said because Wes said, " Did we win? We won?! No way!" After all screaming and lots of smiles and disbelief I had to leave the room and get a hold of myself so I could talk to this lady. Since it was Sunday I couldn't go and get the furniture that night. That wouldn't be right. So she said that I could come and get it Monday before noon. So Wes moved all his patients ahead one hour so we would have time to get it. Thankfully my parents let us have their truck and my grandparents also drove up with theirs. It took us about 30 minutes to figure out how to take the bed apart. But finally we had everything loaded and ready to go. Part of me still thinks that I am in a dream. It doesn't seem real to me. I had a dream that this happened and then it really did. Some people might say that we are "lucky." But Wes and I know that we are "blessed." So enjoy the pictures and come back for more soon. The room is not finished yet. We do get a Interior Designer who will come to our house for a consultation and also a new paint job. :)

This bed is actually a King. It is so big! Wes doesn't have to tell me to move over anymore. Our bed before this was just on the ground but this one isn't. It feels so different! Oh and yes we got all the bedding, tons of decorations, a rug and other neat stuff. Of course it all won't fit in our room so we will just have to find a home for it somewhere else.
It is actually a canopy bed but we can't fit the top part on because our ceilings are too low. Is this my room? I feel like I'm in a dream and that I need someone to pinch me to wake me up.

Year in Review
January: Started to think about baby names. Work, work, and work. Reese Womble was blessed. President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away. Felt the baby move.
February: Found out we are having a girl! We finished our chairs. June Walters passed away on Valentine's Day. Got really sick and had to stay home from work for a week. Worried about the baby. Adam left for Afhganistan. Wes is 24! Finally has a birthday this year. Got new suits from the Wombles.
March: Starting to get tired of working. Can't wait for the baby to get here. Cook's came to Utah. Sophie got the hiccups.
April: Had a baby shower. Suzette came to Utah. Getting really sore and tired. Got a new washer! Washed everything. Won furniture from IKEA.

May: Jessica's 21! Got a mini rose bush for Mother's Day. Went to Castle Creek Inn for 2 year anniversary. Starting to have contractions. Stopped working at Alpine Elementary. Want to name the baby Sophie Rose.

June: Washed baby clothes and got ready. More baby showers. Sophie Rose finally arrives! 5 days early. Really tired.

July: Still recovering. Wes works in the yard all day with Karla. Jewel helps me and Sophie. Go out and see a movie. Finally have a path to my hammock. Got cable tv. CNA license expired. Wes gets job working in the office.
August: Adam comes home for 2 weeks. Sophie gets blessed. Wes starts school again. Sophie smiles. Bruce gets married. Took family pictures. Try to sell Wes' car. Watched the Olympics.

September: Campout with Scouts at Goblin Valley. Got called as Activity Day leader. Want to get school done. Kalra hits Wes' car. Got $ from insurance.
October: Had a Halloween party with friends. Sophie was a ladybug. Went to Gardner Village and saw the witches. Need a new car but realize we can't afford one. Drove to Price. Decided we don't want to move there.
November: Went to Yuma for Thanksgiving. Sophie laughed. Went to the play Into the Woods. We voted!
December: Got a real Christmas tree. Went to lots of parites. Sophie rolled over. Rolls everywhere! Spoke in Scarament meeting for Christmas program. Cried the whole time. Wes sang in the choir. Sophie starts babbling. Started applying to nursing programs. Want to go to North Carolina for the summer. Celebrated Christ's birth.
It's been a wonderful year. Our love has grown and we are so happy to have Sophie Rose in our family. We look forward to 2009. Happy New Year!

( While giving Sophie a bath she grabbed my toothbrush. I hope this means she will love to brush her teeth when she is older.)
