A Night with Old Friends

 This past weekend we met up with some old friends from Richfield. It was so fun to watch Sophie and Laura play together once again.

 Oliver and Lydia just kept staring at each other. :)

 We tried to get a picture of our kiddos together. 

 It didn't turn out as great as we thought.

 At one point Oliver had had enough. Laura and Lydia look cute though.

 They also had Pirate Night at the Hutchings Museum here in Lehi.

 The girls got to look at cool bugs and even touched the Tarantula!

It was so great to get together again. Thanks Langfords!

The Red Barn

 On Friday Sophie had her first field trip to the Red Barn. Here she is with her friends Lincoln, Kylie, and Cassidy.

 Once in the orchard they got to find a apple to pick.

 They also had some new slides this year. 

 They were awesome! I even went down. :)

Fishing at the Pond

 The other night we met at the pond to do a little fishing.

 We also got to feed the ducks leftover bread and crumbly wheat thins.

 Oliver even tried some fishing.

I think he caught something! :)

We ran a 5K..... yes it's true

 I would never have thought I would run a race. But I did. My friend's friend was trying to raise money for fertility. It was such a great cause we decided to give it a try.

 We finished in just 42 minutes. Not too bad for our first race.

 Oh and did I mention that Wes did the race after working a 8 hour graveyard shift? He was a real trooper.

A good day

Yesterday was the perfect day. 

The television wasn't turned on once.

I enjoyed listening to Sophie's stories and all the things she needed to tell me.

Oliver was content and went along with everything we did.

It made me count my many blessings and be thankful for them.

Today hasn't started off too great. 

I tried jogging and didn't even make it around the corner because of a screaming little boy.

Once home Sophie fell out of the stroller and get hurt.

Once Curious George was turned on both children were content.

But I'm trying to make today just as great as yesterday and to remember to slow down and listen to my children, to play with them and enjoy being a mother.

Hike to Donut Falls

In August we hiked to Donut Falls. We also brought along some donuts to eat when we got there. It was such a fun afternoon.
