Prayers are answered

Remember when we wanted to move on with Wesley's schooling? We searched long and hard for a school that had a nursing program. It was frustrating and exhausting. But after many prayers and late night talks we felt that we should move to Ephraim. So we did. We took a step into the darkness. I was scared, scared to be so far from family, scared that we might not have a place to live and scared for the unknown. But it all worked out in the end.
This past year has been very hard and yet it's been the best for us. We have grown closer to one another and gone through some really hard times. But the other day all this paid off.
On May 1st Wes applied for the nursing program here at Snow College. We were nervously awaiting the letter that would decide the next year of our lives. Many days were filled with doubt and concern that we wouldn't get in. The long awaited letter came in the mail yesterday. I was so tempted to open it while Wes was at work but I waited until he came home.
Wes got accepted into the nursing program in Richfield, Utah. I can't tell you how overjoyed we are. Prayers are answered. Heavenly Father is aware of you and what your going through. He will help and bless you. I know this because he has blessed us tremendously in the 4 years we've been married. He will bless you as well, I know it.

Lucky

Today I feel so lucky. Lucky to have been married to my sweetheart for 4 years. Lucky to have met him when I did and lucky for so many other things. I love you Wes! Happy 4 year anniversary!

Temple Square

Last weekend we were able to go to my cousin's wedding up in Salt Lake. One of the things I miss about not going to school up there is sitting at Temple Square waiting for Trax. Soaking up all the beauty around me.

When we own a house we are having purple and white iris. Period.

I hope you all have a great week! Wes and I are off to celebrate our 4 year anniversary this weekend, while the grandparents watch Sophie. Here's wishing you and yours the best!

A Mother

Words can't express how I feel about being a mother. I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful daughter. She is my greatest joy. There isn't a time when I look at her that I don't smile and feel so happy.

I never knew that I would be so worried about a rash or a limp. I never knew that I would stay up late just crying because my baby was in pain and there wasn't anything I could do to help. I never knew that I would have to count the number of wet and messy diapers I changed in a day. I never knew how much I would kiss, hug and cuddle with something so small.
I never knew that I could love someone so small so quickly.
Being a mother isn't always easy. Some days are better than others. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Jessica is:

Jessica is so many things to me. She is beautiful, talented, Smiley, Positive,  a great teacher, a great mom,  a great wife, a pretty "decent" fisher woman, and above all else a choice daughter of God. When I met Jess I was the shy return missionary hanging out by the cookies at family home evening... She smiled at me and I was hooked and have been ever since. I even had a hard time finding pictures in which she wasn't smiling (she even smiles in here sleep). She always seeks for the best in others, and tries to include everyone. She is so friendly she can't help but to make friends and good ones too (you know who you are). She is a great sister aunt and daughter. she is always thinking of and praying for her siblings be it when they are looking for jobs a place to live or running a race. She is a great daughter of God and I love her so much. She is a great teacher (she even taught RS today on her birthday) and teaches me new things each and every day. I am better because of her. She is a great mother to Sophie. She is a great cook (I've gained 50 lbs since being married to her) She is even a better fisherman than I (but, don't you dare let that past this blog)

I LOVE YOU JESSICA

These pictures were taken last month. I went to check on Sophie and this is how she was sleeping.
