A new species of Digimon that was discovered recently. As a survivor of a species that flourished in the Genesis of the Digital World, it is able to perform "Armor evolution", a "pseudo-evolution" using the Digimentals. Among others, V-mon is an excellent Combat Species, as it possesses hidden power, and demonstrates tremendous abilities by Armor evolving. Although it has a mischievous, prank-loving personality, it has another side with a strong sense of justice. Its Signature Move is swinging both of its arms in circles, striking the opponent (Bunbun Punch). Its Special Move is knocking down the opponent with an intense headbutt (V-mon Head).

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

After clearing the side mission "From Pegasmon to the World", Pegasmon in Central Town asks Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan for a Digimental of Friendship for a V-mon who wanted to be able to avoid any kind of attack. With the Digimental, V-mon evolves into Lighdramon. Pegasmon also asks the Agent for a Digimental of Courage for another V-mon who wants the power to help others. With the Digimental, V-mon evolves into Fladramon.

The Agent meets another V-mon in Gear Forest Sanctuary in the present day in the side mission "V-mon's Growth". This one was heavily implied to be a Magnamon of the Royal Knights deployed into Iliad by Yggdrasill to help out in the final battle against Chronomon, but was affected by the firewall and devolved into a V-Mon. He was talking to a Were Garurumon who was wary of humans, which V-mon disagreed with. Were Garurumon left him to talk to the Agent, a human, so he could understand just how dangerous humanity truly was. However, V-mon wanted to find out for himself, so he asked the Agent to take him to the human world. The Agent took him to the underground, where V-mon wanted to check the restaurants. The Agent recommended him the super-sweet ice cream, which V-mon loved. They then returned to the Sanctuary so V-mon could talk normally. There, he told the Agent that he now knew he had to do what he could to defend humanity, then evolved back into Magnamon, his original form, thanks to the delicious ice cream.
