Dark Elf Colour Party released and remastered Line and Gunners for Flintloque

“The Catalucian Army is split in two. Since Mordred signed the Treaty of Friendship with Mordred, many imperial regiments have flocked to the Elven banner. However, others still remain loyal to their King, and fight on the side of the now Grand Alliance. Years of neglect have left the Dark Elf army weak and disorganised. The Junta Council struggles to pay them, food is scarce, and but for a few notable exceptions, their training is almost non-existent. Keeping any form of cohesion and discipline within the ranks is near impossible. The Duke of Wheeling-Turn believes the normal Line Infantry to be incapable of standing their ground, and recent performances have provided proof that his belief has a solid foundation. It has to be said though that the Dark Elves have beaten the Ferach on a few occasions and they tie down a lot of Armoricans in tracking them down.” -

The World of Valon is a huge miniature range encompassing Flintloque as well as Slaughterloo and other titles set in the game world. Alternative Armies mantains not only new releases for the range but also remolding and remastering too across the twenty plus armies of the Mordredian Wars. While we do not tend to publically state this regular process we do on occasion and today is such a day. Alongside four brand new Dark Elves we have re-mastered the original line trooper poses and the gun crew too. Plus a line officer from an original code. For players of Slaughterloo we have 51521 Dark Elf Line with offers a unit of 20 with a saving or a section of 10 plus single trooper option. Composed of the new 51053 pack plus multiples of the troopers in the 51018 pack. As with all World of Valon codes we provide our resin cartouche style bases included for free. 

 

 

The new colour party sculpted by Sam Croes using the same parts as the original 51018 Regimenta del Nino Cisco so that the officer in a dashing pose of pistol and sword (excellent for duelling too) as well as the drummer, standard bearer and sergeant with a nasty halberd fit right in with the re-mastered troopers. Alongside the choice of single poses now in 51018 this is also the case in 51053 Dark Elf Colour Party too. 

 

As many long time customers know we often make new Flintloque releases from our 'asked list' with those things most requested being brought into miniature life ongoing. A command section for the Dark Elf Line was such an ask as was an officer to be used in many roles. 51007C Dark Elf Line Officer is the result. Taken from the original 51007 pack and remastered. 

 

 

51515 Dark Elf Artillery Crew: There is not as much in the way of guns among the Dark Elves as there is for the Army of Albion or the Ferach Empire to be sure but those crews who serve do tend to do so now much more well than before. Learning and surviving has led to nimble gunners. Remastered this artillery crew contains six poses of officer (51007c), gunner with musket plus gunners carrying ball, rammer, trailspike and match. Two limber horses are included. You can choose from the pack or a pair of horses on their own or a single random gunner. 

 

 

Our Summer Mega Event Month is August this year and we will tell you about that later this week. Faith in Flintloque

You can find full rules for the use of semi magicke characters of the cloth in 5027 Grapeshotte 3rd edition book (page 90).  Use these when playing Flintloque and add these characters to your scenario.  Grapeshotte is a fantastic resources and indeed read as it gives you the armoury and artillery for every nation on Valon and exotic equipment and rules such as faith, vehicles, exploring officers and more. Get this ninety six page book with added templates in print or as a digital download HERE.  Grapeshotte is not a game book rather it bolts right onto War in Catalucia, Death in the Snow or Bier & Bones.

5110 Regimenta del Sanna Annie

Something of a legend in Southern Catalucia is the once magnificent Regimenta Del Sanna Annie, an ancient and venerable regiment of Grenadier quality troops in the personal service of Fernando. Since those glory days the ‘Sannie’ as the Orcs call the battalions has taken part in many battles and survived them all almost intact. Accompanied by a priest on a donkey and gaudy officers along with a veritable train of women and hangers on the Regimenta is a spectacle on the move. It is organised like any other Dark Elf Line battalion with the same equipment. Elf 15mm Spearmen on offer and results of poll on next HOT Army sculpted

In our last miniature announcement before the Winter Mega Event 2019 begins on 18th November we would like to tell you the result of the recent Alternative Armies poll on our Facebook Group.  The poll concerned which next 15mm scale army we would expand or begin from scratch.  We have also re-molded HOT10 Elf Spearmen and have new images of these popular figures plus a wee deal on them too.  Go HERE or read on for more.

HOT10 Elf Spearmen

This pack contains sixteen 15mm scale miniatures in metal.  Four different poses of armoured High Elves armed with spears.  Great as single character or the pack can rank up intro four rows of four as a block of spears due to their poses (the pack contains four of each pose).  The miniatures require no assembly.  As with all our HOT packs you can also choose a 'sampler' option with just one of each pose which is excellent for fantasy skirmish.  Go HERE.

The recent HOT 15mm Fantasy poll on our Facebook Group gave the option of either a large expansion to our existing High Elf Army or the creation of a Lizardman Army from scratch.  The final result was close but the Elves too the victory!  As a result of this we now announce that in 2020 we will release at least twenty five new poses in packs with sampler option included.  With feedback there will be Heroes, Champions, Archers, Guard Infantry, Beasts and Flyers.  We thank everyone who took part. Design work is under way now!

Huge new Dark Elf releases for Flintloque and Slaughterloo

Hinted at and asked about it is now time for Alternative Armies to present the Regimenta del Sanna Annie a series of new packs and sets for the Dark Elf Army of Catalucia.  An entire line infantry unit plus skirmish packs and single characters too as well as a box set of all nineteen different poses with an insert.  May 2019's releases for Flintloque the Skirmish and Slaughterloo the game of Mass Battle.  Sculpted by Elton Waters, studio set painted by Mark Taylor and with the two page insert also here to download for free we hope you enjoy the travelling circus!  Go HERE or read on for more.

REGIMENTA DEL SANNA ANNIE

If you are playing in Catalucia or Al-Garvey with the Orcs of Albion against the Ferach Elves of the Emperor Mordred then there is something here for you.  If you are playing in the Witchlands then some of the characters are very useful as are the infantry if you use them as turncoats in the pay of Armorica just like the Al-Garvey Ferach Legion Goblins.

We hope you like this huge expansion to the Dark Elf Army.  We are in the process of writing up two different Flintloque scenarios for the Regimenta which will be published for free in the future.  Ambushed by Ferach Dragoons in an almighty exchange of musketry can Colonel Del Jaso hold off waves of the enemy long enough in 'I Thought these Barrels were for me'.  In a cat and mouse evasion scenario called 'Trot on Bacon' a patrolling section from the Regimenta under Captain Losa tries to lose Von Rotte Cuirassiers in the woods.
