Run while the Pub is Closed free solo play Flintloque Scenario

I know it has been while since the last free content to play Flintloque.  I hope this solo play scenario set in the Bier War is fun for you all.  Go HERE for the massive amount of free files on our website for all game systems.

With a winnowing crack the musket ball blew chips of stone from the edge of the swall.  Soldaten Bruste pulled his head back rapidly and then tentatively removed the small stone pieces from his braided beard.  “Ze Rottes are closing in sir.  Your orders?”

Captain Krass considered his response.  All around him the blue coated soldiers under his command were busy reloading their muskets looking around for enemies.  His sergeant was at the very solid looking door of this huge building his axe in both hands. Krass briefly wondered what had possessed the Dwarves of Fassbier to construct such a mighty public house on the outskirts of their town.  He was thankful they had.  It would be a fantastic strong point and they needed that right now. “My order are such.  Sergeant Luncke get that door staved in so that we may enter.”

Run while the Pub is Closed:  A free solo play three page Flintloque scenario set in the Bier War.  Can your skirmishers reach a safe place before a larger force of infantry and cavalry overwhelm them?  CLICK HERE to download the PDF from our website storage.  Enjoy!

You can visit the Confederation of the Finklestein page or the Von Rotte Legion page on the website to see the miniatures.

This is our last new content for the month.  We do have a couple of announcements to come and a free article too before the end of July.

New Pummilig Pig, Boar and Dodo

Alternative Armies has replaced three riding animals in the Flintloque range with updated versions.  These new versions will, from now, replace the originals in all codes which make use of the Pummilig Pig, the riding Boar and the Dodo.  In the case of the Pig and Dodo these are newly sculpted purpose designed for resin with saddles which will fit any of the existing riders.  The Dodo, by request, is now in a running pose rather than standing.  Here follows a list of the packs affected and you can also purchase these animals on their own too if you desire.  Original Dodo by Elton Waters and new Pig and Boar by Sam Croes.

As we work towards the Bier Wars (see the article from April on our BLOG) our Dwarves needed snazzy new mounts.

52516M Pummilig Pig: The mighty Pummilig Pig is favoured by the Dwarves of Krautia and also some Dwarves in the tiny states of Finklestein such as the Von Rotte Legion.  It can also be eaten on campaign..well it might also just eat its rider.

52501M Riding Boar: Big and bristling this mount is used by the Dwarves of Finklestein as well as Krautia plus some of the Dogmen states.  The model is two piece with a separate head while requires assembly.

53507M Running Dodo: The Goblins of Al-Garvey and its Darke Age lands ride upon these flightless birds as it suits the rugged terrain of their nation.  A metal miniature which can also be used as battlefield interest and as an animal in its own right.

All of these are in each nation's army page as well as our Battlefield Bits and Others Range alongside lots of other animals, scenics and interesting things.

Here is a list of all the codes which from now contain these new versions of their riding animals:

5108C Fat Boris and Bacon

52506 Krautian Dwarf Command

52516 Uhlans Von Krautia

52007 Uhlan Von Krautia

52507 Finklestein Dwarf Command

52517 Von Rotte Command

52519 Von Rotte Cuirassiers

52520 Von Rotte Hussars

52501 Krautian Uhlan Lancers

53507 4th Al-Garvey Dragoons

53509 Al-Garvey Goblin Command

OH30 Goblin Knights on Dodos

In our next update we will show you all of the re-mastered and re-released classic Legion de Nain blister pack codes from the 1990's including a new foot officer as requested by players.  We will follow this up with the return of the updated Finklestein Dwarf Artillery Crew plus a Dwarf Messenger.  All of this will mean in June we can proceed with brand new Legion releases with all the troops lined up behind them ready!

Paddling with Pigs a Slaughterloo battle report from the USA

It is my pleasure to present to to you a brief battle report with images from the United States of America.  A game of Slaughterloo featuring the Dogmen of Pudigrochumsberg and the Dwarves of the Von Rotte Legion. Based on a scenario from the free army booklet for these forces the two players were Bob McAlister and Mike Messenger both long time players of Slaughterloo.  Read on for more and click on the composite images to enlarge them.  Thanks. GBS

Paddling with Pigs

"Those Pummilig Pigs..I wonder if they would be tasty in sausage form with morning tea?"

Taking inspiration from the Uniformation article for the Dogmen of Pudigrochumsberg which deals with the Silage War the 'Paddling with Pigs' scenario was upscaled to Slaughterloo and put on the table.  You can download this article by clicking through to their page above on the website.  The players expanded upon the text given.

The short and vicious Silage War.
The War of Silage was a minor part of the Bier Wars but it saw two small but professional armies go toe to toe and featured three major battles and dozens of skirmishes which set the soldiers of Pudigrochumsberg in good stead for the coming war against Ostaria and its murdering lunatic leader the Emperior Klaffenhund.

So playing out The War of Silage in Flintloque and Slaughterloo as part of the Dwarf Bier Wars. It is the goal of the Baron Von Rotte to capture the city of Saltzbark and thereby King Bonio to make the king wear the pink dress and to throw him in the pig pen. To that end a chain of scenarios can be assembled building towards this goal. I do hope to get at least some of these scenarios ready and published for free in the future.

The first scenario in the chain currently titled 'Paddling with Pigs'. This scenario sees a border incursion by Hussar light cavalry against an outpost of Line infantry with the aim of preventing the Dwarves from crossing the river until a rider dispatched to battalion can bring some Dogman cavalry forward to assist the Pudigroan.

The scenario was fought with two divisions using the standard rules of Slaughterloo.  Above you can see the set up of the table on a six by four layout with the stream running cross the middle and a bridge which will be the focal point of the scenario.

The two armies are set up and play begins.  Which units featured in each division?

Von Rotte Legion
52501 Krautian Uhlan lancers (10) used as the Hussars, since the riders had too much ale and fell off their pigs and had to be re-glued.
52503 Von Rotte Line Grenadiers (20)
52514 Von Rotte Line (20)
52504 Dwarf Landwehr (20)
52521 Von Rotte light infantry (12)
52519 Von Rotte cuirassiers (10)
LE042 Frederic Von Rotte (General)

Pudigrochumsberg
56589 Pudigroan Line (20)
56589 Pudigroan Line (20)
56588 Rache Carabiniers (12)
56587 Officers (2)
56590 Pudigroan Foot Artillery
56592 Cruellest Deville Cuirassiers (10)
LE046 King Bonio as an observer.

It was decided that we could bring on a total of six units out of the DAPS (Divisional Army Packs).

The two armies advance upon the bridge but with its nearer start and cavalry lead the Dwarves reach it first!

Von Rotte Cuirassiers thunder across the bridge with supporting musketry from the infantry.  The Dogmen form up on the opposite bank to meet their charge!

Amid the flash of swords the Von Rotte are broken and have to fall back across the bridge leaving the way open for the Dogmen to make the advance.  A 12lb cannon has been brought up to the edge of the stream and loaded with grapeshotte...

King Bonio looks on proudly as his orange coated infantry begin the march under the volleys of the Dwarf Militia and Von Rotte Line.  The game progresses and the Dogmen take the opposite bank and defeat the Legion!

Thank you to Bob McAlister and Mike Messenger for taking the time to shoot these pictures and provide core details of the game that was played. Good show!

The Von Rotte Legion free booklet to download for Flintloque and Slaughterloo

In the aftermath of the Severed Ears War the legions of the Von Rotte were exiled from Krautia along with their illustrious leader the Baron Frederick the Ales Von Rotte. Having tangled just once too often with Artur the ruler of Krautia the Baron had little choice but to throw in his lot with the Elves of Armorica. The newly formed Confederation of Finklestein, a loosely tied group of small Dwarven states, welcomed the Von Rotte legions with open arms. Finely drilled infantry, cavalry and gunners were thin on the ground and a general as talented as the Baron was rare indeed. Swearing an oath of fealty to the Elvish Emperor Mordred the Baron was given command not only of his own soldiers but also some of those belonging to the Emperor in his wars against Krautia and Ostaria. - The History of the Baron Von Rotte

Now online for free download our Army Booklet for players of Flintloque and Slaughterloo to add the Von Rotte Legion to your games.  Skirmishing and Mass Battle statistics plus profiles of main regiments and their uniforms.  To see this army from The World of Valon go HERE or read on for more and to download.

Army of The Von Rotte Legion
A five page booklet containing background for the most famous fighter on Valon and allies of the Emperor Mordred of the Ferach.  Flintloque and Slaughterloo rules and game statistics as well as information on the Bier Wars plus pictures. A great short read which will slot right into your collection of published titles such as 5028 Bier and Bones and 5030 Slaughterloo.  CLICK HERE to get the PDF from our online storage.

There are ten different choices of troops in this Army. Above you can see core favourites 52521 Von Rotte Light Troops and 52520 Von Rotte Hussars which is where many players begin their journey with this force.

If you are wanting to get into Flintloque then of course you should begin by checking out 5024 Escape the Dark Czar in which there are miniatures which work well with the Von Rotte as those Dwarves are in the Witchlands too.  If you are keen on Mass Battle then check out Slaughterloo and the Divisional Army Pack (DAP) for these Dwarves (code 52603).  As with all codes in the World of Valon range you can select a pack, or a unit, or single trooper booster plus the option of purchasing painted and based ready for play when it comes to the Legion.

There are a great many other free files at Alternative Armies for download including a great deal for Flintloque such as the insert Uniformation Tuscani Skirmishers and the expansion scenarios for the Escape the Dark Czar beginners set.  Check them out HERE and just scroll down and click on what you want.

BS020 Flintloque Guns sprue released at Alternative Armies

Following up on a conversation on the Notables Yahoo Group about which missing firelocks they would like to see for Flintloque to personalise their miniatures we are happy to present this new sprue of guns.  These are 28mm scale and are the twentieth release in our Bits and Sprues range on the website.  Alongside Tankards, Carrots, Pies, Fruit, Meat, Pistols, Wine Glasses and a lot more we now have four new black powder fantasy weapons.  Go HERE or read on for more.

BS020 Flintloque Guns
Four different white metal 28mm scale black powder guns taken from the Flintloque universe for customising your characters or adding scenic interest to your gaming table.  They are from left to right.  1. Ogre Kannonderbuss (Hunvaria and K.G.L), 2. Repeating Air Rifle (Ostaria), 3. Seven Barrel Volley Gun (Greate Britorcn) and 4. Dwarf Blunderbuss (Finklestein, Krautia, Von Rotte Legion).  You can purchase a sprue or single guns from it by selecting your option on the menu. 2.00GBP per sprue. Go HERE.

This is an excellent sprue of four weapons for players of Flintloque and Slaughterloo.  The Kannonderbuss is a staple weapon of all the Ogres in the game and has been requested many times so that it can be slung from the back of cavalry on their Rhinos or on the shoulder of command elements with drum or standard pole.  The Ostarian Repeating Air Rifle is an enigma in the game just as it was in real life.  Our design is based entirely upon the historical Girandoni pattern and as such it could be used with historical 28mm miniatures too.  It is lovely to see it in reality now as it has never been on any of our figures despite being in the universe since near the beginning.  What can be said of the Volley Gun that is not known.  Used by Sergeant Harpy the hulking best mate of Captain Sharke this gun shoots seven pistol sized balls and can devastate a group of enemies but it will destroy anyone too weak to fire it properly.  Dwarves have two standard firelocks on Valon. One of them is the MkII Musket (which is in our Armourers Pack) and the other is the Blunderbuss.  Now the Blunderbuss can be added to characters or diorama pieces.

Flintloque in Pudigrochumsberg during the Bier Wars

With the release of the first codes in the brand new Pudigrochumsberg Army I wanted to let Flintloque and Slaughterloo players and fans in on what is going on here at Alternative Armies in the World of Valon.  For while the Von Rotte Legion and the Army of the ruined Dog Kingdom are both allies of the Ferach Empire and enemies of Ostaria..they were not always so.  Back before the formation of the Confederation of Finklestein and the Krautian League, before the Elves marched to victory across central Urop there was the time of the Unified Powers, the time of the Severed Ears War or to give it the name the Dwarves favour..the Bier Wars!

The Dwarven Beir Wars focused on cities such as Monich, Barlin and Cohol and was on the whole a conflict between a hundred tiny stattes of Dwarves but it did spill out to the Dutchy of Brewswick and involved the then thriving kingdom of Pudigrochumsberg.  Both these smaller lands bordering what became the Confederation of Finklestein and while Artur of Krautia came to blows with Brewswick over the theft of bier casks it was a personal feud between Frederick Von Ales the Baron Von Rotte and the king of Pudigrochumsberg.  King Bonio of the Dogmen was a firm friend of the Baron and even offered his troops barracking and rations within Pudigrochumsberg when the opportunity arose.  However over a fine meal at the royal palace in Saltzbark the king offended the Baron in a way that led to a short war between the two!

Saltzbark is the capital of Pudigrochumsberg and then it was a thriving city famed for many fine goods and among those most to the fore was the tailoring of fine clothes.  As a gift for his friend Frederick Von Ales the king had several suits of silk clothes made and then presented them in person at the palace during the evening feast.  Smiling the Baron opened the ribbons securing the package of clothes and then as his face changed from jovial enjoyment to anger the chatter at the tables quietened and eventually even the musicians stopped playing. A passing Dogman servant looked over the Dwarf's shoulder and giggled. Standing the Baron threw the opened package along the full length of the table scattering food and drink as well as candles and cutlery.  The bundle skidded to as halt on the plate of the king who sat in open mouthed amazement at the other end of the great table.  The Baron roared in anger that he was no prancing Elf, no popinjay and that silver buttons fashioned thus were fit only for a Todoroni.  King Bonio stood and lifting out the garments from the strewn package realised with horror that they were actually meant for the queen.  A dress in bright pink silk with black lace and silver buttons in the shape of wine goblets.  Before anything else could be said the Baron Von Rotte rose and strode out of the hall and in a clatter of chairs his officers also rose and followed him.  At the double doors the now scarlet faced Baron shouted over his shoulder that Bonio should prepare for war.  That by the end of the year he would make the king wear that very dress and throw him in to the pens of the Pummilig riding Pigs.  And so began the short and vicious Silage War.

So playing out The War of Silage in Flintloque as part of the Dwarf Bier Wars.  It is the goal of the Baron Von Rotte to capture the city of Saltzbark and thereby King Bonio to make the king wear the pink dress and to throw him in the pig pen.  To that end a chain of scenarios can be assembled building towards this goal.  I hope to get at least some of these scenarios ready and published for free during the time that Alternative Armies is sculpting and releasing Pudigroan miniatures and of course all of the Von Rotte Legion is already released.

The images in this article are all taken from the early work for the first scenario in the chain currently titled 'Paddling with Pigs'.  This scenario sees a border incursion by Hussar light cavalry against an outpost of Line infantry with the aim of preventing the Dwarves from crossing the river until a rider dispatched to battalion can bring some Dogman cavalry forward to assist the Pudigroan.

These will be interesting scenarios as they are set before the current backdrop of the Beir & Bones book for Flintloque and are closer to the Ferach Revolutionary Wars than the Mordredian Wars. You can visit the Von Rotte Legion and Pudigroan Dogmen on our website. Input is most welcome by email and comment as always and I hope you enjoyed reading this article.

DH14 Dwarf Blunderbusses at Alternative Armies

“Those Dwarfs who choose to take up the exotic weapons of the runesmiths known as 'Blunderbusses' are viewed with some suspicion by other Dwarf warriors. While they are not avoided like the beserkers are or stood back from like the pig riders they are given a healthy distance due to their choice of armament. Few know the secrets of the magic infused powder that is the fuel of the Blunderbuss and while they see an echo of the mighty bombard in the little balls that are rammed into the mouth of the weapon it is sorcery and the axe is to be preferred. In battle these Dwarfs form a great line and wait for the enemy to draw near and this can give even a Giant Troll cause for concern. Standing still with their 'sticks' these Dwarfs seem frozen in fear. But they are not. As one they touch fire to their pans and with booming retorts the blunderbuss’s fire. As if a nest of iron hornets is raised in anger the foe is decimated by these exotic weapons.”

This code contains six different 25mm/28mm white metal miniatures approx 24mm average height. Great quality, great choice and great value too. Go HERE

Poses in this code are as follows:

DH14-01: Dwarf loading Blunderbuss in cloak and helmet.
DH14-02: Dwarf with Blunderbuss and slung Axe.
DH14-03: Dwarf with Blunderbuss holding helmet.
DH14-04: Dwarf in mail armour with Blunderbuss.
DH14-05: Dwarf with Blunderbuss and slung Spade.
DH14-06: Dwarf in cavern fighters gear with Blunderbuss.

These miniatures are not supplied with bases and are supplied unpainted. Select your choice from the drop down product menu. Choose from a pack, three packs with a 10% saving applied and single miniatures. Total choice! Assembly is required with some white metal miniatures.

The Alternative Armies classic high fantasy range dates from the period of the early 1990's through to the end of that decade. Designed by leading names in the wargaming industry and highly successful in its day this range has been on hiatus. Alternative Armies, under the name 'Project Darkhelm' is dedicated to re-mastering, re-molding and re-releasing this entire range back onto the market. During and beyond this process Project Darkhelm will see the range continue to be expanded in the mediums of white metal and high grade resin using top industry designers in new releases. Every pose in each pack is unique with no duplicates making them perfect for skirmish wargaming, roleplaying and unit building for any battle system.

52521 Von Rotte Light Troops released!

Here it is the last Von Rotte new miniature code! This is fantastic and we want to thank everyone who has supported us during the development and release of these codes for Flintloque since December 2014. Adding to the Line Infantry, Artillery Crew, Command Set, Hussars, Cuirassiers, Casualties we have Light Infantry; the skirmishers of your Legion. This is our last release before the Spring Convention Season offers begin and I can confirm that we will soon be releasing the whole Von Rotte Legion DAP (Divisional Army Pack) for Slaughterloo players. Superb!

52521 Von Rotte Light Troops  22.00GBP
This is a set of twelve 28mm white metal Dwarf miniatures giving you the skirmisher light troops which range out ahead of your line units and the rest of the army on the battlefield. Meant for use with the Von Rotte Legion but they could be at home with any Krautian or Finklestein force. Adding to an existing four poses of Light Infantry Trooper armed with Dwarf Musket MkII there are four command poses. The command poses are an officer with pistol and sword wearing a periwinkle wig, a musician with pistol and drum slung on his back, a sergeant brandishing a knife with his musket slung and finally a standard bearer with a 'brewery' pole and musket on his shoulder. Three of the troopers wear the mitre and the forth is bare headed. A total of eight poses in a unit pack of twelve suitable for Slaughterloo or a Flintloque section and also a choice of a single trooper poses to boost your collection. As with all our Valon miniatures we offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland. Go HERE

If you want to look back at all of the postings about the Von Rotte up to this point then you can do so easily here on the blog. Look to the right column and the 'Labels' section. Seek out the 'Von Rotte Dwarves' label and click on it. This will bring up all of the posts.

Von Rotte Casualty packs released

We have two packs of casualties released today into the Flintloque and Slaughterloo range. Bring out your dead for the Von Rotte Legion and also any pig riding Dwarfs if your collection. Two packs of four 28mm white metal miniatures. Find them HERE

52015 Von Rotte Casualties 8.00GBP
This pack contains four 28mm scale white metal miniatures in two different poses. Dressed in the same uniform as 52514 Von Rotte Line these now dead infantry can serve as scenario objectives or casualty markers in play or even just as decoration on your table. A face up Dwarf mouth open with wounds and a face down Dwarf with wounds which you can paint up as bloodily as you desire. You could also use a pin drill to make additional musket shots upon the corpses if you desire or remove a leg or arm for more personalisation. These miniatures are well suited to conversions. As with all our Valon miniatures we will offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland.

52016 Pummilig Pig Casualties 8.00GBP
This pack contains four 28mm scale white metal miniatures in two different poses. Our first dead animals in many years added to the range and we think that if they prove popular we will add more too. This is the same Pummilig Pig ridden by the Von Rotte cavalry and command as well as Krautian Dwarves and Confederation of Finklestein Dwarves too so they have many applications in your collection. Both poses are laying on their sides, one with a saddle box and legs in one position and the other with a different leg position and stance. These pigs can serve as scenario objectives or casualty markers in play or even just as decoration on your table. As with all our Valon miniatures we will offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland.

Here is a nice scenic photograph showing miniatures from today's release along with the Gun Captain from the Von Rotte Artillery Crew, troopers from the Von Rotte Cuirassiers and a mounted officer from the Von Rotte Command Set. They are making an advance and those less fortunate have fallen at their feet riddled with shotte. We have just about completed the whole Legion and the final release of a unit code will be next week followed by the whole division box.

More news coming as I plan to being back something not seen in the realm of Flintloque for a decade or more. But more on that soon.

Thanks for Reading.

First Look at the Von Rotte Dwarf and Pig Casualties

Welcome to the last of the first looks for the Von Rotte Legion. We started in January and since then we have looked at and released Line Infantry, Command Set, Artillery Crew, Light Troops, Hussars, Cuirassiers and now its the turn of that most lamentable of needed units in Flintloque and Slaughterloo..the dead. Your troops might lose, they might win but some of them will likely perish in any event and these two blister codes give you the ability to show this in play on your table. I personally love tracking a skirmish or battle by the trail of corpses across the wargaming table.

The Von Rotte Division DAP box and its elements is nearing release and will come out as our Spring Offer month begins but more on that next week. Read on for details of the dead!

52015 Von Rotte Casualties
This pack contains four 28mm scale white metal miniatures in two different poses. Dressed in the same uniform as 52514 Von Rotte Line these now dead infantry can serve as scenario objectives or casualty markers in play or even just as decoration on your table. A face up Dwarf mouth open with wounds and a face down Dwarf with wounds which you can paint up as bloodily as you desire. You could also use a pin drill to make additional musket shots upon the corpses if you desire or remove a leg or arm for more personalisation. These miniatures are well suited to conversions. These miniatures will be offered in a pack suitable for a Slaughterloo division or a Flintloque section. As with all our Valon miniatures we will offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland.

52016 Pummilig Pig Casualties
This pack contains four 28mm scale white metal miniatures in two different poses. Our first dead animals in many years added to the range and we think that if they prove popular we will add more too. This is the same Pummilig Pig ridden by the Von Rotte cavalry and command as well as Krautian Dwarves and Confederation of Finklestein Dwarves too so they have many applications in your collection. Both poses are laying on their sides, one with a saddle box and legs in one position and the other with a different leg position and stance. These pigs can serve as scenario objectives or casualty markers in play or even just as decoration on your table. These miniatures will be offered in a pack suitable for a Slaughterloo division or a Flintloque section. As with all our Valon miniatures we will offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland.

Some wargamers really like to use casualties and others simply do not use them. This is all fine with us as its a personal preference thing that depends on your style of play. We take the approach of narrative especially with such as characterful game as Flintloque and corpses can add a really exciting twist to a scenario. For example perhaps your Elves are penniless and have to loot the dead during play or your Todoroni fancy a bacon sandwich and have to recover a dead pig from a contested hill side? Plenty to think about and a hoot as well to play out!

You can see the Von Rotte Legion page on our website HERE

We will be releasing the last codes in the Von Rotte Legion across the next couple of weeks before the end of March 2015. Its been great fun showing off these sculpts and reading your reactions and we might well do it again with the next whole army development for the World of Valon. You will have to excuse me now as I have a massive Flintloque scenario to write called 'Sharkes Farmhouse'!

Thanks for Reading

52519 Von Rotte Cuirassiers 18.00GBP
This is a set of 28mm miniatures which give you a group of heavy cavalry ideal for the charge and smashing the foe. Meant for use with the Von Rotte Legion but equally at home with any other Finklestein Dwarf army. Five different Dwarf riders in white metal and five identical resin Pummilig Riding Pigs. An officer with his hand raised in salute wearing a periwinkle wig and a monocle, a musician blowing a trumpet, a standard bearer with the 'bristle' flag pole and two poses of trooper armed with straight swords wearing tricorne hats. The riding pigs wear saddle and tackle with a cartridge box. This totals five cavalry miniatures. You can choose from this set of five or a full unit of ten with a saving or the option of purchasing a single trooper to add to your forces. We also offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland. Go HERE

52520 Von Rotte Hussars 18.00GBP
This is a set of 28mm miniatures which give you a group of light cavalry ideal for scouting and harassing the foe. Meant for use with the Von Rotte Legion but equally at home with any other Finklestein Dwarf army. We went crazy here and made seven different poses! In the set you get five different Dwarf riders in white metal and five identical resin Pummilig Riding Pigs. An officer with his hand raised in salute, musician with trumpet, standard bearer with the 'bristle' flag pole, a sergeant with arms at his sides riding hard along with three different poses of trooper with curved sabres (one random trooper supplied in the five figure set). All are wearing mirliton (dolman) head gear and a pelisse over one shoulder. The riding pigs wear saddle and tackle with a cartridge box. This totals five cavalry miniatures. You can choose from this set or a full unit of ten containing all seven poses with a saving or the option of purchasing a single trooper to add to your forces. We offer the additional choice of purchase pro-painted and based by our team of ladies here in Scotland. Go HERE

Other images and rear views of the codes are on the linked website pages.

These two codes have a sure place in a Dwarf players collection as he builds towards a full division giving both light and heavy cavalry. The whole division is getting nearer and nearer....exciting! There will be a DAP code with a saving for purchase of a whole boxed division at once and you will be able to order it unpainted or painted and based too. Makes you want to saddle up and ride man!
