Celebrating a year of Halcyon Minatures with mini event until 2nd June 2025

It has been just over a year since Halcyon Miniatures partnered up with Alternative Armies to produce their range of high quality metal and resin 28mm miniatures.  This sci-fi range has grown to over forty codes since with all manner of space adventurers, soldiers, knights and more for a space opera setting; even some mighty Warlouses and the hulking Gnawbuck Mutagen.  We felt a wee celebration was on the cards so until 2nd June 2025 these excellent offers apply to every ‘HAL’ Halcyon code.  Here we go!

Every 28mm miniature in the range requires a ‘slot base’ as they are on tabs.  Alternative Armies has created slot bases in resin and every one of Halcyon’s figures on foot comes with a free 30mm round resin slot base.

Offer Number One: If you purchase ANY three Halcyon Miniatures (infantry miniatures) or one Warlouse with Rider (HAL032 to HAL040) or the HAL042 Gnawbuck Mutagen you will automatically get HAL003 Helmet Homunculus with base in your package.

Offer Number Two: If you purchase ANY ONE of the Halcyon Miniatures Sets (HALP01 to HALP05) not only will you have a saving but also you will automatically get HAL003 AND you will also gain for free HAL002 Psi Operative with base in the package!

Easter ‘Bunny’...Halcyon Miniatures presents the mighty Gnawbuck Mutagen!

 

Created in the bio labs of Xarka Corp and then force grown with mutagenic injections the Gnawbuck is now marketed as a military grade expendable urban 'pacification' asset. Early trials have gone...well... 

It's Easter and for its weekend we present a mighty new code from Halycon Miniatures which is cute in a ‘really terrifying’ sort of a way. The Gnawbuck Mutagen is here!  Added to the recently Warlouse Cavalry as well as the sci-fi infantry and others in this 28mm range.

HAL042 Gnawbuck Mutagen:  One metal and resin kit.  You can assemble the supplied ten pieces into a 'rabbit' variant or a 'rat' variant of a heavily muscled behemoth. It is 50mm tall, 65mm wide and 50mm deep.  Shown on a 75mm round base (not included).  We show BOTH variants built and painted but ONE kit with all pieces is supplied; you will have parts for your bits box left over.

Will you make a Rabbit or a Rat?  Perhaps something else by assembling the parts differently...

Works in two scales shown with HAL015 Priest of Truth in 28mm by Halcyon and HOF132 SFA Scout Team (officer) from the HOF Range in 15mm scale.

Warlouse Cavalry nine new 28mm from Halcyon Miniatures

Halcyon Miniatures now adds its fifth set of releases to its growing range on our website.  Produced under agreement this range now has over forty poses of science fiction and now fantasy models and miniatures.  Nine different riders each of which fits upon any one of the three mighty ‘steeds'.

Take your pick of Knights with sword or lance as well as a Squire, a Man at Arms, Falconer and a Female Adventurer each supplied with one randomly of three poses of Warlouse.  Each Warlouse has a saddle and baggage upon it and is about 80mm long and 50mm wide.

These are not the only cavalry we make, oh no, we have a great many riders upon horses (such as the wonderful lancers of the Crystal Elf Empire) as well as some on some rather more novel mounts such as the Gnome on Baggage Turtle. These include, from our Orc and Goblin Horde Range, the Goblin Knights on Dodos.

Until 24th April the new AS031 Warbot III is free in all orders shipped out!  All you need do is order and we will put it in automatically.  Any amount of orders for anything and you can purchase it too and you will still get one free.  Use it in any scale and a lot of settings..four legged robotic fun!

Halcyon Miniatures releases set four 28mm Freebooters Mercs and more!

The boutique miniature range which came to Alternative Armies now makes its fourth round of releases! Halcyon Miniatures are manufactured by us in agreement with its Nottingham based sculptor. This round joins the other three in 28mm scale metal science fiction for a total of thirty one poses.

Got a star vessel?  Need some muscle on commerce jumps?  Ship Captain, first officer, ‘surgeon’ along with Freebooters, Bladesmen and Tech Gladiators. HAL022 to HAL031.  Useful in any game system.

All miniatures in this range are ‘tabbed’ meaning they use a slot base. Extra value is given by us in that we supply a resin circular slot base free with every figure purchased from Halcyon. All are on 59034 Wide Slot Base.  Base is included automatically.

The fighters in this release (HAL025 to HAL031) can all make use of HAL016 Assault Infantry Shields an accessories pack of ten mixed shields or choose single ones on the page. The boutique miniature range which came to Alternative Armies now makes its third round of releases! Halcyon Miniatures are manufactured by us in agreement with its Nottingham based sculptor. This round joins the first and second in 28mm scale metal science fiction for a total of twenty one poses.

On your knees serf your betters are here!  Noble Lords as well as their Servants plus a Merchant. HAL017 to HAL021. Useful in any game system.

The boutique miniature range which came to Alternative Armies this year now makes its second round of releases! Halcyon Miniatures is manufactured by us in agreement with its Nottingham based sculptor. This second round joins the first in 28mm scale metal science fiction. 

 

Following up on the Storm Troopers, Psi-Operative and others we have Assault Infantry with Shields plus their Commissar and the chainsaw wielding Priest of Truth. Useful in any game system.

As you can see they match up well. From the dawn of the golden age the classic Asgard Space Marines. Returned to the world with care these miniatures are singles and a value set of all with saving. Despite being more than four decades ago in the design they are timeless and great for any system.

Halcyon Miniatures joins Alternative Armies

A new boutique miniature range is now released on our website and manufactured by us in agreement.  We welcome Nottingham based Halcyon Miniatures with their first set of 28mm metal miniatures to the family!

What has been released?  The range begins with its first round of eight poses which are Storm Troopers in plate armour as well as their commander plus a homunculus and a psi-operative too.  Useful in any game system.

All miniatures in this range are ‘tabbed’ meaning they use a slot base.  Extra value is given by us in that we supply a brand new resin circular slot base free with every figure purchased from Halcyon.  These are the same bases shown in the painted examples.

We have a great deal of 28mm Science Fiction to offer including The Ion Age and Alternate Stars.  You can see here a scale comparison of the Shia Khan Perimeter Borg with a Grima Robot Trooper.

We have other ranges produced under agreement with us each of which has something rather special and unique about it. From the miniature madness of Grinning Skull (the shown Zargaliens) to the Space Raptors of Loud Ninja Games and the Space Monkeys and Psi-Knights of Ganesha Games.

Until the 5th of March every order shipped out from us here in Scotland automatically gets the FM62R Giant Tick which is great in any scale as well as sci-fi and fantasy plus dungeon crawl too.  It is from the Asgard Fantasy Range and you need do nothing but order to get it. Perhaps the new Psi-Operative can control it?
