New scatter scenics for Erin Celtic Myth 28mm Range

Three new scatter terrain models are now in the Erin Celtic Myth range for your collecting.  The first of what will become many these items populate your table or your dioramas or even the bases of such monsters as Morc of Chicol or Culach the Lord of the Fomorians.  They have, as with EVERY other code in the range, been added to the All of Erin Bundle which gives you everything in the range with a 5% saving built in.

These will work excellently with the warbands of Erin be they Fomorian, Sidhe, Firbolg or Milesian; pre-made with a saving built in.  All on the Erin Range page.

We have the 2005 Erin game book as a digital paid download.  We are working on a new edition but it is a long, long way off being ready as all the new miniature releases are working towards it.  Do not fret though as this 108 page download title will still be valid for your miniatures when it arrives.  Alternative Armies never outlaws previous versions of titles.

Kev Moon’s beautiful Erin miniatures for Of Gods and Mortals

Fir Bolg releases Hero, Spell Weaver and Warband in Erin range

The Fir Bolg have, as promised, now reached the size of a full faction in the Erin range with the release of two personality miniatures which complete 'CM27' and a value warband with ten miniatures in it has appeared too.  See the entire range HERE or read on for more information.

There are now 91 different miniatures in this unique range which was re-released at the start of this year and the Fir Bolg are no longer lacking in named heroes, magic users, missile weapon as well as war horn and war banner.  CM27-04 Gorman Fir Bolg Hero will lead your warriors and CM27-05 Tanai Spell Weaver will invoke the favours of the gods to aid them.

Saving ten percent (meaning essentially one miniature free) on screen there is the new CMB04 Fir Bolg Warband of ten miniatures (Hero, Champion, Warriors) which gets you a fighting force in a single set.  This forth warband joins the others for the Sidhe, Fomorians and Milesians.

If you are new to the Erin range then consider the CMM00 All of Erin Bundle which contains one of every miniature in the range with a built in 5% saving too.  This saving is on top of any discount code automatically or manually entered at checkout.  All 91 miniatures are in the bundle.

Five new Fir Bolg this year including the first female of this race as well as first missile weapon armed one and musician, banner bearer, hero and magic user; all in the code CM27.  It is our intention to keep on expanding the Erin range giving every faction such characters and types as time passes.

Until 1st April 2022 you automatically get ALT003 Alternia of Erin (our company mascot in her Celtic Myth outfit) in your package and she fits right in with Milesians in your collection.  See the Alternia Mascot collection on the website and also the useful VNT46-06 Skull Heap which is fantastic on your gaming table too.

Erin Celtic Myth 28mm range returns to the website

Alternative Armies is delighted to once more be able to offer our unique range of miniatures in the Erin range to wargamers and collectors worldwide. Sculpted by legends of the industry across the early years of the 1990's all the figures have been re-mastered and are now online as single choices (plus three warbands with savings).  They have returned to their original codes and their names from the Erin game also.  The Sidhe, the Fomorians, Firbolg and Milesians as well as many monsters and minor gods. 85 Different Miniatures. Great for any 28mm game system and wonderfully characterful.  Go HERE.

Currently we have brand new images of the Sidhe and of the Fomorians for you to see.  More will follow soon as we progress so it is well worth checking back over coming weeks as we get to the monsters and the Milesians.  All of the codes are now in the range though including three miniatures which have not been available in nearly three decades.  Can you spot them?

The Sidhe are a whimsical race. What seems trivial to a Man they find significant, what Man mocks they cherish. To a Sidhe Hero even the pursuit of a poignant tune can be a lauded quest.  Clan Warriors make up most of their warband alongside a couple of Champions and of course a Hero of legend.

The Formori are the sea dwellers who come to the land to conquer, with little in the way of lofty ideals, it is for avarice and cruelty that they quest.  Terror from the waters of Erin.  Fomori grow in stature as they age with Pucci being the smallest and the mighty elder Heroes the largest.

We are committed to the Erin range in the longer term which means it will grow from here.  There shall be more miniatures and it is our aim to release Erin 3.0 when we are able to among our other titles such as En Garde and The Bier Wars.  We have been delayed by a world event but the will is strong and these things will happen.  So if you wish to see certain heroes of legend or warriors of note appear then do please tell us who they are.  Do you want a horde of Pucci?  We may even create our own vision of the monstrous Balor!

Fomorians of Erin some new pictures of a project

This year has been something of a challenge as I am sure everyone reading these words will well know. Among the projects tentatively begun but postponed for 2020 by Alternative Armies was the overhaul of the Erin range of Celtic Mythology miniatures and the game.  We only got a tiny amount of this done by March but I thought it would be nice to show you what we had and let you see where we were heading.  This project will continue..when..who knows at this point..but it will.  Enjoy!

The Fomorians are commonly known as 'Sea Devils' or those who come from below, from the cold dark depths of the waters.  They are a magical race long at war with the Sidhe for possession of Erin. Laying claim to the islands and sending forth mighty heroes to do battle on the beaches and into the forests under a slate grey sky.  Fomori grow larger as they age and while the greatest such as King Culach and Balor of the Eye are monstrous most warriors are the size of a Man while the Pucci are smaller, weaker but very numerous.
