Asgard FM Fantasy Range 1980s returns second round

Alternative Armies is delighted to restore to the world a range which inspired so many which followed it. At the dawn of the 1980's Asgard Miniatures began their Fantasy Monsters (FM) range. We have worked hard to allow tabletop gamers, collectors and Asgard fans the chance to have these miniatures once more. 

 

 

The second round of releases is here. Consisting of ten codes from FM10 to FM20 which are fantasy monsters with some version 1 and version 2 as well as the Sacrificial Tree and first Undead of the range. These join the first dozen codes on the Tabletop Games and Asgard Fantasy Range page.

Each miniature is shown in a series of pictures and angles with a total height listed to help you know their size. Total height is from sole of foot to top of highest part of the figure. In the case of long creatures a total length is given the same way. 

 

 

The Sacrificial Tree with or without Victim is a code we were asked a lot about. Part of the FM range we have also placed it in the Torture Chamber Range as its nature suits that too. A great piece for your table. 

 

 

The Barbarians of the Wilds some of the finest character miniatures of the 1980's as singles and a value set. Sculpted by Jez Goodwin. 

 

 

Alongside the other collections we have restored there is the Tabletop Games and Asgard Miniatures Science Fiction Range which contains many aliens, robots, creatures as well as the mighty TSF01 Szithk War Bird pictured. Great in any game system and collectors.

The Whipping Post released final code and never seen before Torture Chamber 1980's set

It is our pleasure to present to the world a classic but basically unknown miniature set from the 1980's.  Now added to the Torture Chamber collection on the website the LAST code in the range which completes it; The Whipping Post.  Go HERE for the full range.  Please note the adult theme of these miniatures with censored pictures here and uncensored within each code on the website.

Never before seen online and not seen by almost everyone a classic 1980's code re-mastered and now restored to the Torture Chamber Range.  Your chance to get something which you could not get before!

TOR14 The Whipping Post. The final code in this classic range. This pack contains all the 28mm metal pieces needed to assemble the The Whipping Post. These are a stone column with lion head, a base for the column, hook for the victim, two different male victims to place upon the column, a man with a whip and lastly a kneeling bound female victim.  When assembled it is 50mm tall. Supplied unpainted and unassembled with no bases. You can select the whole set or the column parts, the two victims, the whip man or the kneeling woman using the menu on its page.

Never before seen online and not seen by almost everyone a classic 1980's code re-mastered and now restored to the Torture Chamber Range.  Your chance to get something which you could not get before!

TOR18 Trees of Death: This pack contains all the 28mm metal pieces needed to assemble the Trees of Death. These are two gnarled trees with chains and a nude female miniature shackled with chains.  When assembled this model is about 100mm long.  Supplied unpainted and unassembled with no bases.  Shown on a custom made base (plastic card and resin).  You can have the set or pieces from it on its page.

TOR18A Standing Nude Woman: This is a single 28mm scale metal miniature of adult theme. A nude woman looking up shouting while her hands are bound behind her back and her ankles are bound too. Expanded out from the TOR18 Trees of Death never seen online before code from the 1980's.  She is shown on a 25mm square resin base.

TOR17 The Guillotine re-mastered and released

We are continuing our project to bring classic ranges back to the world and this time we present the last of the commonly available 1980's Torture Chamber 28mm codes; the Guillotine.  As with all the other codes in this range it contains adult themes and single pieces from packs can be had on the page for that code.  Go HERE.

TOR17 The Guillotine. This pack contains all the 28mm metal pieces needed to assemble a guillotine as well as a resin platform for the machine to stand upon (eight pieces in total) and two other pieces those being the Executioner and the Victim. There is also a severed head in a bowl which can be placed as pleased.  When build the machine of death is 90mm tall and stands 30mm wide. 

Here are views of the models as you can see it is a rather special piece.  Great for fantasy or historical settings in wargaming or diorama (The Terror anyone?). The machine itself can fit any kneeling victim or it can be left without one; make your choice while assembling. The Executioner is standing next to a ground borne lever which will drop the blade.  The victim is a bound and kneeling nude woman.  A bowl contains a severed head.  You can have the machine on its own, or the executioner, the bowl or the victim select your option on page HERE.

We have now completed all of the released codes from this range.  There are a few more releases to come later this year which will be codes never before seen and have been dormant in molds for nearly forty years!

Traders and Entertainers return to the Torture Chamber range

Now re-mastered and back in the world more classic poses in the 28mm Torture Chamber range.  We have just about brought back every pose and set which was around in the 1980's and later this year we will unveil several codes which were made for this setting but were never released (yes never seen before!).  Today's news gives you characters which go along with the ladies in the Harem set and would go well with The Rack or The Whipping Beam for instance.

TOR15pt3 Harem and Slave Market Pt3 Trader and Entertainers

This classic pack is the third of several to bring you the Slave Market and Harem characters in the Torture Chamber collection. It contains five 28mm scale miniatures as follows. Dancing Girl (1), the Slave Master (2), Harem Eunuch Guard (3), Girl with Fan (4) and Sitting Musician (5). These miniatures are for use in dioramas or dungeon crawl type games and settings. Painted examples shown on 25mm square bases.

The Inquisitor on the Throne.  There is a lot in this range for both fantastical and historical wargaming.  All of the sets can be had as a pack or pieces from them if you wish to craft your own visions of the setting.  Go HERE.

Wizards Workshop 28mm classic scenics are all back!

 It is my pleasure to announce that the classic 1980's Tabletop Games wargame terrain collection called 'The Wizards Workshop' is now back in production at Alternative Armies.  Following up on Laserburn, Asgard Barbarians and the Torture Chamber ranges these models are back in the world.  See them all on the Guild Room page HERE or read on for more information.

 

Very useful for your wargaming table as well as for dungeon crawl and dioramas too.  Piles of books and scrolls as well as a magic mirror and ornate table and who does not love skulls topped with candles.  Twelve codes including a Cauldron on a fire.  Many uses in your games.

Kalene the Barbarian Priestess 28mm released and free too!

Sculpted by Sam Croes let me introduce you to Kalene!

"The tribe chose her for her strength.  Kalene had killed the fearsome one eared snow panther which had carried off old and young alike. Now she leads the warriors into battle with a stone blade and the skull of Dargara the maimed wrapped with fur from the panther. Her magics are growing and the blood of foes spilled feeds that growth!"

This female miniature is great in any 28mm scale game system or RPG system as a character.  Inspired by the classic 1980's fantasy films and the Torture Chamber range restored on our website. Half nude barbarian with stone dagger and skull standard.  Stands 28mm tall. This miniature is not supplied with a base (shown on a 25mm square cartouche base) and is supplied unpainted.  Other miniatures shown for scale only and not supplied below.  Go HERE.

This is the third miniature in the growing FL24 code following on from the Midsummer Druidess and the Witch Carline.  Useful character figures for fantasy or myth tabletop gaming for your collection.  We may indeed add further unique poses in this code during future events!  If you have ideas for a female miniature or any type please contact us; we would love to hear about it (plus if we make it, you will get some gifts!).

Further restored codes added to The Torture Chamber collection

We have now added the last of the originally released codes re-mastered into the Torture Chamber range.  This completes what was around in the early 1980's.  During our deep delve into returning this requested range for collectors and diorama makers we discovered and then confirmed a couple of further codes which were never released.  Yes, never released.  These are currently being re-mastered and will arrive later in 2020 effectively brand new!

TOR16 The Burning Pit
This pack contains one metal fire pit with victim. Suitable for 28mm and 25mm uses this scenic pack contains two components these being the fire pit with its base and two upright spit holders and a near nude female victim tied to a long spit with turning handle. Easy to assemble. You can purchase a pack, or choose the the pit pieces on their own or the victim on spit on her own. Choose on screen.

TOR7B Slave Girl
This code is a single metal miniature which suits 28mm and 15mm scale uses. Laying on her back she is 27mm from foot to forehead.  Cloth bindings on her wrists and ankles her back is arched. This miniature is expanded out from the TOR15 Slave Girls and TOR7 Snake Pit codes.

TOR15Pt3 Dancing Girl
This code is a single metal miniature which suits 28mm and 15mm scale uses.  She stands 25mm to eye line.  A dancing girl for any setting dressed in a two piece costume. This miniature is expanded out from the TOR15 Harem codes.

These Torture Chamber codes are our last 28mm fantasy releases for this month.  The rest of July 2020 is all about 15mm Science Fiction and of course Flintloque too!

TOR13 Wheel of Death set added to the Torture Chamber Range

TOR13 Wheel of Death

Spin the Wheel for a prize..well maybe not. This pack contains the following pieces all in metal to make the complete Wheel of Death.  The wheel itself atop a pole, the naked and bound victim and the 'pusher of the wheel' with his pole plus robed and hooded inquisitor This pack is 25mm scale and not supplied with bases and you can choose to purchase one pack or parts these being the wheel itself only, the naked victim or the pusher of the wheel and the inquisitor.  Note the lead image is censored and other images are not.

TOR15 Slave Market and Harem Pt 2 released

Now released onto the website at Alternative Armies in the Torture Chamber range the second half of the Harem set.  Classic 28mm scale miniatures from the dawn of the 1980's once more in production.  Go HERE or read on for more. TOR15 Slave Market and Harem Pt 2 Carpets and Guards

This classic pack is the second of several to bring you the Slave Market and Harem characters in the Torture Chamber collection.  It contains six 28mm scale miniatures as follows.  The Harem Slaver (1), the Harem Guard (2), Harem Carpet (3), cross legged Harem Master (4), Padded Cushion (5) and Flying Carpet with flight base (6).  Pieces can be interchanged to ride the carpet, sit upon it and so forth. These are 28mm scale miniatures for use in dioramas or dungeon crawl type games and settings. Painted examples shown on 25mm square bases.

Guild Room 28mm returns with Wizard on Throne and Drunken Carousers

Alternative Armies is bringing the Guild Room back to the website and it starts here with two classic codes in new molds.  The Guild Room contains 28mm scale metal and resin scenery and characters great for historical or fantasy wargaming or simply collecting.  Go HERE or read on for more.

The codes in the Guild Room are the Asgard and Tabletop Games miniatures from the 1980's which have been brought back to the world.  Under this header name will be the Wizards Workshop (WW) collection, the Bar Room (BR) collection, the Marketplace collection and others as they were originally titled.  We are using original codes when possible.

WW1 Wizard on Throne

A classic 28mm scale scenic set for collections or dungeon crawl and adventures. Contains four metal miniatures these being Throne (with a demon perched upon it and a leering face on its rear 40mm tall), a sitting Wizard reading a spell book, the Young Apprentice in robes with a broom (28mm) and the Wizards Familiar a crouch hairy little creature (15mm tall). You can purchase the set or parts of the set. Supplied unpainted and without bases.  

BR23 Drunken Carousers

A classic 28mm scenic set for your townscape or collection. Contains two metal miniatures these being a chair and the carousing couple. When sat on the chair the models combine to 28mm tall. There is an element of female nudity in this code. Censored in main image. You can choose from the pack or the two elements from it. Supplied unpainted and without bases.

Three more classic codes added to the TOR Chamber range

Alternative Armies has been busy with many things this spring and bubbling away in the background has been the re-molding and readying of more classic codes from the 1980's Torture Chamber range in 25mm to 28mm scale.  As out last news for May we present to you three more codes returned to life meaning that we now have fifteen packs back in the world.  Great for dioramas, for dungeon crawl, for wargaming in fantasy and historical settings.  

The Pillory, the Stocks and the Ducking Stool join such things as the High Inquisitor, the Rack, the Snake Pit and slave girls.  Please note that this classic range contains items of an adult nature and while all images on our public posts and emails are censored the images on the site itself beyond initial image are not censored.  Go HERE.

Originating with Tabletop Games in the 1980's many have taken inspiration from these scenics over the years.

TOR10 The Stocks

This pack contains one complete set of The Stocks.  White metal 25mm to 28mm scale miniatures composing a Man throwing eggs and a woman imprisoned in the stocks (the lady, the base, the stock bottom half and stock upper half).  Easy to assemble.  You can purchase a pack, or three packs saving 10% or choose the egg thrower only or the stocks with prisoner only.  Choose on screen.

DE8 The Chaotic Column

This classic 28mm scale resin pack contains four of the same highly detailed columns as one piece resin models.  Covered in faces and twisted visages these Chaotic Columns are great for dungeon crawl and for dioramas for any evil setting.  No assembly required and stands 45mm tall with two flat ends making standing and use as building supports simple.  This pack is supplied unpainted and without any bases or other miniatures. TOR5 The Garrotte Chair added to the Torture Chamber range

As the winter draws near it is nice to be back in the dungeon next to the glowing coals and the roaring...pain..well fire. A classic code now returned to the Torture Chamber Collection at Alternative Armies.
