Zidhe 15mm Space Elves updated and value pack HOF Range

Recently we remasted our Zidhe infantry codes and upgraded their imagery as well. Sculpted by Steve Young and Rob Alderman and a nice little array. In line with other pars of the HOF 15mm Science Fiction Range we added a new value pack of all the poses with a saving baked in.

As with all other codes in the now near 190 pack range every pose can be had as a single within the packs on their page; see the menu on each page and you can filter by group on the main page too.

Command, Infantry, Guardians, Androids, Bike and Portable Weapon. Great for many settings including Space Opera and alien encounters especially against their oldest foes the Octopods. Learn more about that on the USEME page in UMS02 Ziggurat of Clem IV complete starter set.

Here is a scale line up shot so you can see how the Zidhe Space Elves match up next to SFA Human, Cultist Human, Octopod and a Corporate Ashigaru trooper.

Value Packs are great for skirmishing and with their saving there is no duplication in the pack with every pose unique. This refresh gets the Zidhe in alongside the Automata Robots, the Octopods, the Rim Mercs plus Post Apocalyptic Warriors, Cultists, Security Force Alpha and the Corporate Ashigaru who all have value packs. Great for skirmishing.  Find them by filtering the range by type; see HOFP codes.

Bradley Miniatures has a growing range of 15mm scale resin vehicles which go very well with the HOF 15mm Science Fiction range. Choose from tanks, towed artillery, armoured car and scout car. There are also equipment packs and a tank saver bundle.

56540 Cotechina Guarda Todoroni return re-mastered and on offer

“Quite a few Armoricans were surprised when the annual troop review took place in Nappoly when after thousands of gaudily dressed Todoroni marched past in a variety of styles all different to each other naturally they saw something new. Last in the review were five new regiments that had been privately raised and then gifted to King Tadio Polo who sat on his golden throne and clapped excitedly at the new troops marched past in perfect formation and saluted him as they went.

Murmuring the Elves asked each other, who were these excellently drilled, uniformed and equipped soldiers and why were they wearing the trademark bearskins, the headgear of elite guard soldiers. The King waited for the review to end and then at a signal he ordered the regiments to wheel back in to the square in front of the royal stand. As one they raised their muskets and fired a salute to the king making several high ranking Elves duck. They had never seen such precision from Todoroni. At this point a short and portly Toad stepped from the ranks and bowed to the assembled nobility and Elves before ascending to the stand. He was the Baron Petrochemicoli a very, very rich noble who had become sick of being the butt of all the jokes going on military ineptitude.  He had raised an elite regiment of Toads.”

Now re-mastered and in new molds the finest regiment in the Army of Nepolise the Cotechina Guarda is back on the website with new images, plus choice of pack, unit and all poses as singles and an offer too.  Get them for your games of Flintloque or Slaughterloo. Go HERE or read on.

By Bloody Fist and Broken Tusk a free Flintloque Scenario

As promised back in July we are delighted to present a free full scenario for Flintloque set in Catalucia and featuring the new Tuscani Elves and also Captain Sharke and his Rifleorcs.  It is a fun adventure and can be played solo.  Will you break through the Ferach line before time runs out?  Find out now!  Go HERE for all our free downloads or read on for the link and more information.  This is our last Flintloque news for August.

“I believe that we may indeed be lost sir.  That Dryadia traveller may well have given us a false lead on the pointy ears.”

Rifleorc Bok Arris was sweating in the afternoon sun but it was the risk of gaining the displeasure of the tall scarred officer who led them.  A murmur of agreement went round in a ripple among the marching Orcs.  They had been on the move for five hours and not once had Captain Sharke changed pace or taken his right hand off the hilt of the blade hanging at his waist as they walked along narrow valleys. Now though the officer stopped dead and turned back fixing Arris with a hard glare.

“You saying something Arris?  You want to repeat that louder so as I can hear it proper?  We ain’t killed nothing for two days and I could be starting again with that habit shortly.”

By Bloody Fist and Broken Tusk – Flintloque Scenario
A stand alone full scenario which features some famous characters.   It makes use of several free files and also the 5025 War in Catalucia game book.  This is a set piece scenario which can go very differently each time it is played.  You will need the four page insert for 5109 Sharkes Chosen for the character profiles it contains.  Also the Tuscani Wild Elf Uniformation insert for the game statistics it contains.  These are linked in the scenario three page PDF.  Will Sharke escape the ambush or fall to Wild Elf skill?  The scenario can also be expanded or played with two players. CLICK HERE to download it from our website hosting.

Trolkin Civilians are Flintloque release for July 2016!

“In many places on Valon when the recruiter beats his drum and promises coin to young men if they will only take up arms and fight for their Kyng or Emperor the response is immediate as the mothers, wives and sisters of these lads cannot stop them.  But not so in the Troll lands for the ladies of Copendaz could bare knuckle box a horse to the ground with ease.  In fact the Emperor Mordred has considered forming regiments of these stony fleshed broads..but he has yet to find the courage to ask them!”

Welcome to our only release for Flintloque and Slaughterloo for July 2016. It is a new pack sculpted by Rob Alderman which gives you normal folk for your Trolkin forces in aid of the Tyrant Emperor Mordred.  A pack of four different Trolkin civilians, three female and one male.  These are excellent townsfolk or villagers for your scenarios and line up alongside our other civilian blister packs as well as the Trolkin soldiers for the games.  Go HERE for this month's release or read on for details.

57036 Trolkin Civilians
This pack contains four different 28mm scale high quality grey tone resin miniatures depicting Troll like humanoids which are a middle aged female with a barrel under her arm, a gentleman with top hat and walking stick, a young pregnant female with a broom and lastly a female Trolkin with a wooden club. Trolkin civilians are about 30mm tall and powerfully built. Excellent for use in scenarios or for the baggage train of the Trolkin and Trolka army.  Choose from a pack or a pro-painted and based pack ready for play.  8.00GBP.  Go HERE.

There is an entire army of the Trolls for use in Flintloque and Slaughterloo and you can see it HERE on our website.  Line Infantry, Light Infantry, Artillery as well as Cavalry and Command packs and units.

Trolkin are roughly Human sized while Trolka are massive and the biggest soldiers on Valon. There is also a free PDF book download on the page giving statistics and more for the Troll lands.  Enjoy!

In the World of Valon range we have several other civilian and baggage train codes which provide male and female fantasy miniatures to populate your scenarios and either by taken prisoner by or rescued by your musket toting Orcs and Elves.  These include 54050 Valon Civilians, 51047 Elf Ladies, 58511 Burrovian Carrot Cart, 52017 Dwarf Camp Followers, 56131 Ludwig Von Barkhoven, 56041 Bella Joong Frow, 57018 Al-Hazrad Othari and 54502 Orc Camp Followers.

Baron Brewswick on foot and Zombie Big Todoroni released for Flintloque!

We have two new blister pack releases into the World of Valon range for use in Flintloque and Slaughterloo! Alternative Armies armies is proud to present 52020 Baron Von Brewswick on foot and 55022 Zombie Big Todoroni all sculpted by Rob Alderman.  Fitting into the Minor Allies of the Grand Alliance and into the Undead Army of the Witchlands these new miniatures are great characters.  Go HERE or HERE or read on for more information.

52020 Baron Brewswick on foot
The Blacke Baron is a familiar sight on the battlefields of half of Valon, the once leader of the prosperous Dutchie of Brewswick is now a general who leads his troops in an eternal battle against the tyrant Mordred. Having taken the small cadre of trained troops that Brewswick had on offer he fought the Elves in several battles including the farcical Battle of Muddstichen where due to freak terrain the Blacke Legion, as the now renegade soldiers were known, managed to defeat a Ferach force some ten regiments larger than their own. Now an outlaw the Baron and his Dwarves marched some hundreds of miles to the coast and escaped the now closing talons of the despotic Ferach overlord. Usually seen in a well made uniform of pure black cloth and a cloak of tan leather the Baron holds his pipe in hand and hurls abuse at those who fail in their sworn duty to kill all the Elves that Armorica can offer. This pack contains one white metal miniature in 28mm scale approx 23mm tall.  A Brewswick Dwarf personality in one piece on foot.  3.00GBP.  Go HERE.

55022 Zombie Big Todoroni
The Fruscati Grenadieria contains some experienced and effective battalions in the line of Ferach Empire regiments but it also contains many poor quality and indeed terrible battalions as well.  Many of these accompanied the Emperor Mordred into the Witchlands to take on the legions of the Dark Czar and most did not come back.  Well, they did not return towards Nepolise in the state they left for they had been killed and reanimated in the frozen wastes of the Witchlands by the Graviski corps. The ranks of these Big Todoroni became zombies and took their stiff limbs and rotten brains in pursuit of their former spawn brothers in arms.  This pack contains two white metal miniatures in 28mm scale approx 34mm tall armed with Ferach Muskets. 8.00GBP. Go HERE.

Here are two scale photos for the new miniatures taken next to the 28mm tall Elf mailman promotional figure from 2009 (super rare!).

Alternative Armies will publish separate articles containing game system rules for these new codes covering Flintloque and Slaughterloo next week which will include fiction, uniforms, rules and images.
