>>59278553If you someone doesn't understand Dundunsparce they simply don't understand japanese culture and history.In Japan it's somewhat normal for elementary schools/middle schools to have outings by going to forest hills to "hunt tsuchinokos".Tsuchinokos are like fat snakes with legendary rarity, it's basically like shiny hunting IRL but you're searching for Santa. All the students know that the tsuchinoko is fake, the teachers know that the tsuchinoko is fake but the whole thing is just a sort of ironic excuse to go outside and touch grass, the tsuchinoko thing is just the cherry on top "Oh maybe we're going to get that legendary animal?", it's a funny bit, this Pokemon is supposed to be a funny childhood memory for japanese people, what is more rare than a regular tsuchinoko? Oh why not a tsuchinoko with MULTIPLE segments? The joke is that it's kinda like going out to find a four-leaf clover (Dunsparce) and then you find a FIVE-leaf clover which is even rarer (Dudunsparce). The evolution was never supposed to "le cool dragon" that westerners imagined it, that was a shallow interpretation.
