Easter Layout from Jake’s book

I am making a scrapbook for my nephew and my sister has not been as organized as I would have liked her to be. So I have Easter pictures that are not dated however these ones were labeled and so I put them together in one layout. I decided that I don't have to go in chronological order. That's new to me and almost makes me break out in hives. I'm working through it and you will see that come out in the next few months.

The patterned papers are by Making Memories and the cardstocks are by Studio G and Recollections. The title is a Cricut cut using the Cuttin Up cartridge. The center line of eggs is a bunch of different products. The orange and multiple colored small eggs were Cricut cuts but I'm not sure of the cartridge. It was a freebie on Cricut Craft Room. The pink stamped egg is a Close to My Heart stamp and the yellow and orange sparkle egg is a Studio G stamp. I colored it in with Clearsnap smooch ink and Ranger Stickles on the stars. The black stamped eggs are by Stamp N Plus stamps that I stamped with Hero Arts black ink. I colored them in with powdered chalk that I mixed with paint. Then I fussy cut the eggs out and added them to border. The eyelets are by Eyelet Outlet.

I placed a pearl at the neck of each bunny and then scattered pearls around the card. The sentiment has been stamped with black Hero Arts ink.

Mason Jar-Easter Edition

I have a new Deep Red Stamps card today using a Mason Jar rubber stamp that can be found at A Cherry on Top and at Scrapbook.com

You may recall my Valentine's card using this same mason jar stamp and now I'm back with some eggs, cracked ones at that. My pinking shears made the cracks possible. I stamped the mason jar onto Recollections white cardstock with Hero Arts black ink. I cut the eggs out using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge in pastel colored cardstock again by Recollections. The sparkle letters are by Doodlebug Designs and the background cardstocks in purple and yellow are by Color-Aid.

Iris folding Easter card.

I LOVE this card. The Easter basket iris folding stamp by Stamp N Plus is so stunning. Take a look.

I stamped the image onto Tim Holtz distress watercolor paper, that's a mouthful, and then cut out the center. The patterned paper I used for the folding is by DCWV and the lines match up better then if I actually tried for them too. I colored the rest of the image in with distress markers and a water pen by Ranger. I used a Wink of Stella pen on some of the eggs and animals.

The patterned paper is by Daisy D's (old) and the cardstock is by Recollections. The lattice pattern die cut was cut out with the Cricut (Ribbons and Rosettes) with the egg sticker by Doodlebug Designs. The sentiment sticker is by Reminisce.

One more look at that fun iris stamp by Stamp N Plus.

Easter Calendar Layout with Chalk eggs

I have a calendar layout to share using a Stamp N Plus stamp, powdered chalk, and paint. When you mix the powdered chalk with paint it creates a new medium to color in your stamped images. It doesn't take that much mixture to cover in an average size image and when I am finished painting an image I can not waste the leftover mixture. What I do is take a large paintbrush, dip it into the mixture and paint a piece of white cardstock. I end up with a handful of pieces of paper like this in all different chalk colors. For this layout, I took the three colors you see below and punched them out with an oval punch. I added the letter stickers {old alphas by Creative Memories} and used them as a design piece and as my title for my layout.
The patterned paper for my layout is by DCWV. It's part of a zoo stack but it was the best I could do with the colors the kids wore. I think this year I will need to communicate the colors they can wear according to my Easter papers. I'm sure they'd love that- yeah probably not.
The swirl is a canvas sticker by Little Yellow Bicycle and to finish I stamp the He is Risen stamp sentiment from Stamp N Plus, see below, in blue onto white cardstock. The blank calendars are from Current.
Thanks for stopping by.

They both work fabulous with the qchalk-paint mixture. The patterned paper is by Creative Memories.

Happy Easter In Holland Calendar Layout

Each year for Christmas I make multiple calendars for family members. This year I made 13 calendars. For my husband's family, the layouts are similar because they are all the same photos. For my blended family each one is unique/a little bit different.
For this page, I used patterned paper by Flair Designs (circa 2008) and then the grass paper is even older. The title is a die cut from my Cricut cartridge Phrases. It's four different layers-I love that. The egg stamps are by Stamp N Plus using ink by Colorbox.
Thanks for taking a look.

Gateway fold Easter card

For my card today for the challenge at Chalk-Ah-Lot,

I chose to make a Double Z fold card. You can see the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers HERE.
It is incredibly easy to make. I find that I don't usually make cards that have fancy folds but then when I do I'm amazed at how easy they are with such awesome results. I will be making another one of these cards for sure.

Here's what it looks like when it's closed up. I used some egg stamps by Stamp N Plus that you can find HERE. I used M1513 Tulip egg and L1505 Forget-me-not egg. I colored them in using powdered chalk and paint by Stamp N Plus. I combined the peach chalk with the color Passion for the flowers and the green is a combination of Mossy green and Cool green powdered chalk and paint. The sentiment stamp is from a set of greetings which includes labels that you could use to personalize your card or on your scrapbook pages. (Mom, Dad, Pastor, Uncle...). There is a picture of the stamps and details about it at the bottom of this post.

Here's what the card looks like with the closure off and card opened. It has panels of cardstock decorated with patterned paper ready for an inside greeting.
The tutorial noted above, uses ties a piece of ribbon in a bow and foam adhesive to keep the card closed. I couldn't find the right ribbon and my foam adhesive is MIA at the moment therefore I improvised and made a "belly band" out of cardstock to slide easily over the card keeping it closed when the band is on and open when the band is off.

The patterned paper is by K and Co, kraft cardstock by Oriental Trading Co, watercolor paper by Strathmore, pearls by Want2Scrap, ink by Hero Arts.

If you are interested in purchasing the set of greetings and labels from the Stamp N Plus company, please call  715-271-1873 to place your order with LuAnn. Please tell her that Cindy sent you.

Best wishes for a fabulous week.

Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe Blog Hop day 3

Today is Day #3 for the Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe blog hop. I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the different ways to use powdered chalk these past few days. Don't forget our challenge that runs for two weeks which is posted on Sundays. Winning some chalk at this blog hop could make you a contestant and give you the chance to win more chalks.
Today's card is inspired by our upcoming Easter holiday. Stamps {eggs, bunny and sentiment} are by Stamp N Plus Scrap N. I colored in the eggs and bunny using Powdered chalk and paint. The background of the die cut under neath the bunny is paint and chalk where I turned white cardstock into the color I wanted to match this card. Die cuts and borders are by Spellbinders. Some cardstock and one of the DP is by Recollections. The pink border paper is by GCD and the eyelet by Scrapworks.
Thanks for looking. Be sure to look at the specials going on at our chalk and stamp stores.

Stamp N Plus Scrap N offers 15 handcrafted unmounted rubber stamps on double sticky cushion for wood mounting in a 6in by 9in manila envelope. These stamps are old stock in good shape approximate retail value of $40 to $50. The only thing they may need is trimming. 15 images for Five Dollars or 45 images for Twelve Dollars WOW!!!!!
We cannot guarantee there won't be any doubles if multiple envelopes are purchased as a bunch of images were thrown in a bin and then stuffed in envelopes. No doubles in individual envelopes.

Then if that wasn't enough, the Powdered Chalk Challenge Special is still going on where you can purchase 4 powdered chalks for $6.00 plus S and H. An exceptional value and an offer you should not let pass you by.

So now that you have stopped here from Barbara's blog head on over to Jennifer's blog. Be sure to leave a comment at each blog for your chance to win a set of chalks. If you get lost you can always go back to the Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe where you should also leave a comment.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Enjoy the hop.
