Floral Friday Paint Brush card

This is a simple card but it did take a while to arrange the flowers. I tried to follow the example on the back of the package. I did silver paper for the top of the paint brush. I think that’s what they look like. The burgundy paper is from my stash, and the patterned paper is by Studio G. Thanks for looking. I hope there’s something in your day that makes you smile.

Manly Monday Anchor Card

The patterned paper is by Studio G. The embossed paper is by Colorbok. The sentiment is a stamp by Stampendous that I cut out with a Spellbinders die.  While the paper was still in the die I embossed it using a rubber mat and then inked it with distress ink.

This card was supposed to go for Kendra‘s card challenge #10 but I didn’t like it. So it sat in the “To Be Finished” box waiting for an occasion or to come up with a brilliant way to finish it.

The sketch that inspired my card is in the upper right corner. Keep in mind, sketches are there to spark your creativity, and this was mine loosely based on the sketch.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday a Negative and Positive card

I love to Upcycle> Recycle> Reuse> Repurpose> and Reduce the trash.
For my two cards today I extracted the sentiment out of Aunt Gail's store-bought card and I was able to make these two cards. Can you see where the cards were one and became two?

I started with a lavender card base and then layered patterned paper by Basic Grey that was 1/8" smaller around the edges. The rhinestones and enamel stickers are from my stash.
The sentiment is from a store-bought card and I cut it out with a die from Kaisercrafts. So instead of throwing away the yellow cardstock, it came from...tada!

Look, it's the yellow cardstock from above. Isn't that cool? Why haven't I done this before? Anyway, I added polka dot patterned paper by Studio G behind the yellow cardstock.
I stamped the large sentiment with Hero Arts ink and it never evenly dispersed into the cardstock. I stamped it multiple times with the MISTI. I decided to color in the bare spots with my Stampin' Up watercolor pencils to fill in the bare spots.
The fun arrow and banner combo come from the Scrapbook Expo.

Floral Friday Puple and Pink Daisy card

The card today is a birthday card. The patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by a Hampton Arts company called Studio G. The flower stamp is on a Spellbinders die cut.

Idk why I stamped the flower onto purple cardstock, seriously idk why. But then I used a Spellbinders die to cut it out...crooked. So it sat in my drawer until recently, before calendar season. I'm looking at it going, what do I do with this thing, which direction should the card be, why did I put foam adhesive on it and why didn't I hide the foam better? Ugh! I took a Copic marker and colored the foam adhesive purple when my hand jerked and the marker went on the die cut. Awesome. I colored the edges in the darker purple and again my hand jerked so I brought the color in toward the flower. The flower got lost on the die cut so I put Stickles in the center and I wish I wouldn't have. The card's orientation is portrait. Here are some other cards using the same stamp. Thanks for looking. The die cut in the center is a Cricut cut. It is 2 layers with the pink paper by Sunborn and the purple cardstock from my stash. Here is a fun fact about that die cut, on the back  it says, "CCR Cartridge Freebie called Labels."
Let me dissect that lingo; CCR is "Cricut Craft Room". That was the second computer software that the Cricut company used and could be used with the archaic Cricut Expression. The word "Cartridge" should also be a giveaway that these are old die cuts because Cricut went away with cartridges when they introduced the "Explore Air". When they released the Explore Air they also created a new software called "Design Space" to take place the CCR. Sadly, Cricut still uses the same DS software that it did back then. SMH.
Anyway, below are links of cards using the same daisy stamp.

Floral Friday yellow and purple spring cards to donate to a senior living facility.

This is another set of spring cards I made to donate  to a senior center. The patterned paper is by Accord Publishing. The black cardstock is from Michael’s and the purple paper is from Studio G. The chipboard arrows were painted with Mr. Huey's paint. I can’t remember who makes the paint. To finish that landscape card I did something different and that I put patterned paper underneath each arrow. Before I shipped them out I saw this sticker and it was that something that this card needed. Thank you for stopping by.

Floral Friday Happy Flowers upcycled cards

My cards today were made using the outside and the inside of a store-bought card. Below are my cards and then look at the next picture and see what I did.

First card: I added the vellum sentiment. The floral heart is the inside of the card. It also uses a second store-bought card; the pink patterned paper. See the next picture.

For the second card, I used Tim Holtz die cuts.
The background paper is by Studio G
The letter stickers are by Studio Calico

Manly Monday Birthday Balloons, Cakes, and Presents cards

Blue paper is by Studio G and the green paper is by Making Memories.
I sewed strings for the balloons with embossing floss by DMC. I then put foam adhesive under the balloon to accommodate for the height that the floss adds to the element.
The scallop circle sentiment is stamped and punched out of dimensional foam. The card uses stamps from Stampin'Up.

The ribbon is by Stampin Up. Patterned paper by Studio G. Label die cut by Design Objectives. Yellow rectangle by Spellbinders. Border punch by Tim Holtz.Brads from stash. This card is a total fail but I can't take it apart and start over.

This one is so ugly and I don't know what to do with it. It's definitely manly.

Floral Friday Sunflower Tag card and older SU Sunflower stamp card

The tag for this card is an upcycle. It was made by a family member named Dawn and it was given to Grandma LaFrate in 2016 (I think-SMH. I thought I took a picture of the back so I would be able to reference it. I can't find it.)

So all I did was ink the Provo Craft patterned paper with distress ink,
Heat embossed the sentiment stamp by Forever in Time, inked it, and punched it out.
The circle underneath is a Recollections journal box. I used a Spellbinders die to cut it out and then inked it. The first time I inked it in Vintage Photo and I did;t like it, I flipped it over and inked it with Peeled Paint.
The sentiment is on Zots 3D dot thingy's that I fought with and won't use them again for a circle punch. I thought that since they were round that would work better than the square dimensional adhesive. Not so much. It looks warped. Oh well.

This next card was also made by Dawn. I took the top of this handmade card and cut off the dirty sides. Then I added the panel onto this store-bought card because it matched so beautifully.

The card below uses a very old Stampin Up stamp set and a Close to my Heart sentiment.

I used perfect pearls on the sunflower. The patterned papers are by Studio G (orange check) and Studio Calico (woodgrain). The die-cut behind the sunflower is by Spellbinders.
Here is a link to the other place I used this same stamp.

Fall colors Tag with Floss Card

I am posting this card a day late for the fall equinox because Wednesday is for calendars, which the calendars are appropriate to.

The sentiment and the whole tag were part of a trade years ago.
The patterned paper is by Studio G

Owls Ask, "You're How Old?" Cards

I cut the ovals with the Creative Memories cutting system

The owl was downloaded over 10 years ago. The pp is by Studio G

The sentiment was created in Word and the other is a stamp by Stamping Scrapping. The ribbon down the center is hard to make out.
I inked the oval with distress ink.

This next card is an owl from a package of school scrapbook ephemera. I typed up the sentiment in Word then used a Sizzix die-cut to cut it out. While the paper was still in the die I inked the inside with distress ink.
The tree branch is a Hero Arts stamp that I colored with colored pencils. The blue background is distress ink.

Scrapbook Layout with MIL and Pat Boone

My MIL is the sweetest, most patient, Christian woman that never said anything bad about anyone, even when there was reason to talk bad about them, she was not that kind of person. This is her as a teenager. The two handwritten words are from the back of the photo.
The patterned paper is by stripes are by Creative Memories, Polka dot by Stampin Up, and the green ombre paper is a 6-6 Studio G

Chalk Heart Anniversary Card

How about a little love this Tuesday.
The border stamp by TPC Studio was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The heart is from Stamp n Plus (no longer in business) and the powdered chalk that they sold was the stamping medium.
The die-cut leaves were cut out using my Cricut with the draw and cut feature on some Creative Memories greenish colored vellum with a pattern on it.
The pink patterned paper under the border is by Studio G and the pink mat patterned paper is by Sunborn.
I inked the edges with distress ink.
I was going to do a heart pattern stamped background but I didn't care for it. It is visible in the closeup.
